Just steps away from our tiny home in the making you can access miles of hiking trails in the Colorado National Forest! Currently the fishing hut has potable water, electricity, TV, DVD player, remote controlled ceiling fan, mini refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, hot plate, basic kitchen essentials, and a futon with bedding to get a good nights sleep. *More Amenities To Come* For heating and cooling there is a light/fan in the center of the hut and we provide a space heater for when the nights get cold. Just a few steps outside of the hut is a beautiful (one of a kind) outhouse with lights, power outlets, and a heat lamp if need be. A little ways down from the hut you will find a table with antique wagon wheels and seating for enjoying a meal or just taking in the views .
The property is .57 acres in an L shape. It has many trees consisting of spruce, ponderosa, and aspens. The plot sits right at 9000 feet above sea level. There are great Mountain View’s and lots of Quiet. There is unlimited national forest access just a 2 min walk from the property, 3 private fishing ponds, and a very large and versatile shooting range nearby.

You’ll also meet our friendly resident goats 🐐 and dogs 🐕, who are part of daily life at camp. Wildlife sightings are common, including moose, bears, and elk.
🔥 Firewood is provided at no extra cost, and a communal BBQ area, with picnic tables are available.
🐻 Bear boxes on site, compliments CPW.

Camp ACA is also a unique venue for small group events of up to 25 people, including family reunions, intimate weddings, retreats, workshops, offering a private, scenic setting surrounded by nature.
Our driveway is the gateway to Yankee Hill, the largest Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) area in the Front Range, with endless opportunities for hiking, exploring, and responsible off-road recreation.

Weekend Trip to Aspen Forest in Evergreen Colorado
We chose to stay at the cabin with the sauna. The cabin was absolutely beautiful and very cozy. Being there when it snowed really added to the experience and made it feel extra peaceful and special. Just be sure to drive carefully in snowy/icy weather. It was a great place to relax and enjoy the scenery. The host was very responsive and communicative, which we appreciated. Overall, a lovely cabin and a great stay.

Ernest's Tiny House Forest Cabin was the perfect weekend winter getaway! Ernest is extremely responsive, cabin is well equipped/cozy, and everything works flawlessly - heated floors were a bonus!

Ernest’s A-frame cabin nestled into the mountain woods, complete with attached sauna was such a perfect romantic getaway. It was simple and minimalist yet still had all the basic staples we needed for our stay. The decor and lighting made for relaxing ambiance, and Ernest was welcoming and communicative, too. Weekend Trip to Aspen Forest in Evergreen Colorado
My partner and I loved our stay at the tiny house! The sauna setup and giant windows were really the selling points for us. Was also fun to hand-grind coffee to be more present. The aspen leaves changing were an added bonus! There were two other sites on the property, but the folks staying there were friendly, and it was overall still a very peaceful place. 10/10 recommend for a little weekend getaway for two.

I loved this little cabin! Cute little getaway spot for couples. Giant window to look out at the beautiful aspen trees, not difficult to get to, quiet and peaceful. The place had every basic thing you need is provided. I mostly enjoyed the heated floors. Lots of wild life and we saw a giant moose once we got up there! My only thing was the mattress wasn't that comfortable, but my partner and I have bad joints so memory foam beds don't work with us. Overall it was a great stay and very special thing for my partners birthday :)

This was a good location for our purposes. The access was easy and even though there was lots of rain, and a little roadway washout in the morning, it was easily passable and not a worry for us.
The tiny accommodations are appropriately appointed and accurately advertised.

What a peaceful zen like little eco cabin! Every aspect of this space invites one to get closer to nature and to truly slow down and just be observant. Watching a moose from the large window just laying down eating grass is something I will never forget!
The cabin has everything that is needed for more of a minimalist kind of stay which is what I wanted. One thing to note, the bedroom in the loft is accessible by a ladder so if that’s not your thing, you could stay at one of the other two rentals. I loved climbing up to go to sleep at night! Made my 50 year old self feel like a kid again!
Another thing to note, you will need a 4x4 to access the property in winter. Roads are pretty steep up to the cabin.
Hip Camp rentals are my jam now!! I’ll be back!😀

I absolutely loved Marion's fishing hut. It was perfect and I loved all the touches. The TV, the small refrigerator and microwave, little coffee maker, and all the utensils, plates, cups and portable electric hot plates to cook. There is a wash basin to wash and to wash dishes. Water was provided, which was awesome. They also provided movies to watch on the TV and the the trundle bed was perfect and comfortable, as well as, the pillow, and the blanket was so warm.
It looked like a little cottage with the framed windows, which opened from the inside with little blinds, and when you would open the little windows, there was a nice breeze. I didn't mind the roosters across the way they were funny, and I took pictures of the beautiful horses also across the way. It was quiet. The little fishing hut is surrounded by pine trees and Aspen trees. The little outhouse was so cute and clean, also with nice touches. And the lid to the toilet was painted with Aspen trees!! Whoever painted it is a great artist. I highly recommend this little hut for me and my 2 dogs, it was perfect. There's also a picnic table and chairs outside and a water spigot. I will definitely be back to this little piece of mountain paradise. 👏🏞⛰️

Definitely a nice place to stay at. Clean and simple. Has a TV, DVD player with a good selection of movies, mini fridge, microwave, as well as a mini heater. Has a lot of areas within a short drive to see beautiful sunsets. Has very spotty signal, but thats what makes places like these nice, you have to disconnect and enjoy nature. Definitely recommend staying here. Do note, it does get cold during the nights so prepare accordingly, the blanket and heater was good enough for me.

Great little spot! The neighbors were super friendly, with horses and chickens across the road. The cabin is a small hut, perfect for a couple and two dogs to sleep comfortably. The trail head is in walking distance with a beautiful hike. Lots to do and explore in the area. We really enjoyed our weekend get away! Thank you so much!

Our stay in the Shack Cabin was magical. Waking up to the mountain sunrise and crisp air was pure peace. The cabin was cozy and well-designed, and the community campfire each evening felt like adult summer camp - but also large enough to have your own space. The shared kitchen area was perfect to cook, and we were so impressed by all the gear available to guests — thoughtful and useful. Chantelle welcomed us warmly, and we left feeling truly cared for and inspired by the non-profit’s mission. The stay was cozy, refreshing and inspiring!

The space is quiet (minus the roosters on the property across the street but not at all bothersome!) and well kept. They are in the process of upgrading the cabin and adding some nice touches. Even the outhouse is done really well! There is walkable access to the national forest right around the corner.
There is a grill, mini fridge, microwave and dishware. Plenty of potable water accessible.
The hosts are wonderful. We will definitely return.
