The cabin has a kitchenette and it's own private bathroom. In addition to the indoor shower, there is also a semi-private outdoor shower. There are also places to relax and enjoy the forest. There's a very comfortable queen bed plus a pull-out sofa bed that can fit 1-2 more people. The cabin is quiet but please note that it is within close proximity of the other house on the property.

I’ve had the pleasure to be the “caretaker” of this special land once inhabited by the Maidu Indians for the past 43 years. This is SPECIAL ground here and I’m sure you will feel the MAGIC!!! This 40 acres sits on the Yuba River Ridgetop. At the "Platform of Pleasure" you will enjoy 100,000+ acre views of protected land looking North to the High Sierra, minutes away from downtown Nevada City and 15 miles from Yuba River Trailheads. Firewood bundles are $1 per stick per stick, (when campfires 🔥 are allowed). There is a $15.00 dog fee per dog/per stay. You can add the dog fee to your booking or pay cash when you arrive. On our property like anywhere in the woods there are mosquitos, so you should bring bug spray. We offer a tent platform, as well as a canvas tent listing. We have listings ranging from yurts to shipping containers, an old water tower converted to a vintage trailer and canvas tents. We are based in between the middle fork of the Yuba river right where it meets up with Oregon Creek. If you like a long walk it is 2.5 miles down the dirt road to Oregon Creek and the middle fork of the Yuba. Driving takes 5 to 10 mins. The other direction is the largest lake in our county Bullards Bar Reservoir and Emerald Cove Marina. We are 1 mile down Marysville Rd. from a launch called dark day. There is a trailhead at the top of overflow boat parking for a public swimming hole on the lake. On our property, we have a main house with its own private facilities such as a kitchen, shower, and bath. On the land, we have 9 total unique cabin and canvas tent structures converted into boutique-like campsites. We have an epic outdoor entertaining kitchen and patio with an outdoor pizza oven and a little dog rinse behind the outdoor shower. The bathhouse is right across the way and provides a private but shared guest shower house, tub and sink. Like anywhere in the woods there is an hour at sunset when you may have mosquitoes down near the sites in the spring and some of the summers depending on the year. We have a natural spray for that or fans in the kitchen. Off the path, you may find poison oak in the thick of the woods. So please stay on the marked trails.

From the moment we arrived, we knew this place was special. The sweeping views and gentle quiet made it feel like a hidden retreat, yet it’s only about 11 minutes from the charming streets of Nevada City. Our hosts, Chris and Rebecca, were warm, welcoming, and attentive. Saturday morning, our car key’s remote battery unexpectedly died. Instead of having to call an Uber or drive into town for a replacement, they cheerfully produced a spare battery—turning what could have been a stressful moment into a reminder of their thoughtful hospitality. It’s rare to find a spot that combines natural beauty, convenience, and hosts who genuinely care, but this place has all three. We left feeling relaxed, grateful, and their thoughtfulness truly made our experience even better. Highly recommended!

Chris & Rebecca’s place is perhaps the quietest camp I have ever stayed at. No noise other than nature, no lights in the near valley. Just leaning on the chair at the deck of their “Platform of Pleasure” cabin while taking in the breathtaking view was an experience worth savoring for hours in the sunset time… Our dog was also in heaven, with so much land to trot across. Chris & Rebecca were also super attentive and generous hosts. Highly recommended… We are definitely coming back!

This place is amazing. The view is breathtaking, that’s an understatement. We spent hours watching the view, the sunset and sleeping under the stars. Chris and Rebecca were so welcoming and kind. They gave us a tour of their beautiful space and helped us move our equipment to the space. They sent me a great curated list of hikes and places to visit during our stay and the two we were able to squeeze in were INCREDIBLE. The platform is better than we could have imagined. The perfect place for us. Private, and spacious. Well equipped with lighting, a gas grill, tables, chairs and a cozy bed with an indescribably beautiful view. The facilities felt well maintained and clean. The features are well thought through and allow us to set up quickly and focus on our vacation. Chris and Rebecca have built something really special out there. I have been to this area quite a few times, but this beautiful property gave me a new perspective on the place. We’re already planning our next trip.

The most unique hipcamp I've ever been! So much to do and so much to see, we had tons of fun! Main cabin is extremely comfty, equipped with everything you need. Deja is super friendly and flexible to our last min change, truly appreciate the flexibility. Oh, did I mention Deja's hipcamp is only 10 mins away from Oregon Creek? We spent whole day there it's so beautiful. It's perfect in every way, we will definitely come back.

What a great campground! Plenty of space for you and your friends to set up tents with enough space in between for privacy even! Porta-potty was clean and well-maintained. Plenty of branches and wood you can grab around for a campfire, and you can even buy some from Jason if you prefer the convenience. Easy to find and great communication with Jason as well. And access to the cute lake is definitely a plus! Love the outdoor shower as well but the addition of a small curtain for extra privacy would be extra perfect! All in all it was a great home base for our Winnemuca lake hike; highly recommended!

Chris and Rebecca are wonderful host. The property is amazing and very well kept. There is a giant 40 ft swing that we all (adults and child) had fun trying out. Chris took the time to answer all our questions and help find the best spots to go swimming. This will be our go to spot to go to Nevada City moving forward! We didn’t want to leave.

I held my Bachelorette party at Sierra Sol and it was a glorious space for us. We had 20 people, all slept comfortably, plenty of beds and chairs. We enjoyed the outdoor kitchen and lawn the most. Deja's property had everything you'll need! Plenty of cups, plates, silverware, pots, pans, etc. The water tasted great. We loved the cold plunge tubs outside as well. The oregon creek day use area was a 10 minute drive. We met many of the folks who work on and care for the property and it is filled with love. Cannot wait to return! Thank you Sierra Sol

This cabin was incredible- had everything we needed, was so cozy, record player with throwback vinyls that were so nostalgic to listen to, and decor was very pleasing. Would absolutely recommend and looking forward to returning!
