I am in the process of building a tree/shrub wind block. There's about .4 miles of dirt road to get to the property, there are some dips to watch out for but I come out here in a little Prius so it's manageable. Overall, there is an element of seclusion but occasionally people do drive by on the dirt road. I would rate the cell phone service a 7/10, it's pretty solid but can go out at times.

The master bedroom (queen bed) is separate from the downstairs and reached via a spiral staircase leading up to French doors. The master bathroom adjoins the bedroom and has a skylight over the double length tiled shower. A second bedroom downstairs has a murphy bed with a queen size mattress. There is air conditioning in the living room as well as in the upstairs bedroom and 2 fans are provided-- although generally temps are not above 85 degrees on a hot day and generally drop into the 60's in the evening. Upper and lower decks offer lovely views of Mt. Pinos and the San Emigdio range. Relax on the sunny decks or in the Adirondack chair near the pond surrounded by pine trees. Plan to do some bbqing--it is so pleasant to do some grilling on the upper deck bbq and dine outdoors. Our cabin is clean and well-kept. It can comfortably accommodate 4 people. Please NO smoking or pets! Mt. Pinos has the best view of the stars in So. California—star parties are common whenever there is a new moon. Located in a spectacular mountain setting just 90 miles north of Los Angeles, Pine Mountain Club is a residential community in the Los Padres National Forest. Relax & unwind while surrounded by acres of old forests that shelter an array of flora & fauna, including the rare California Condor. This gambrel cabin was one of the original homes built in PMC in 1976. The 70s vibe is still alive with cork floors, shag rugs, wood paneling, record players, an 8-track player & an orange Malm fireplace. The space Our 1970s chalet-style gambrel cabin is located at an altitude of 5500 feet above sea level. Both bedrooms are equipped with organic latex mattresses (queen downstairs, full upstairs) and ROKU smart TVs. There is also a TV with basic cable, a VHS player, and classic video games in the living room downstairs. Upstairs we have a projector for watching movies on a big screen. The kitchen is equipped with a full size refrigerator, oven/stove, Nespresso machine with milk frother, blender, waffle maker and fondue pot. We have board games, puzzles, records, 8-track cassettes, VHS tapes, a projector (for VHS or streaming movies), a guitar, keyboard, and a working fireplace. Towels and linens are provided. The washer and dryer cannot be used by guests, but there is a laundromat in the village and another in Frazier Park. Keep in mind this is not a hotel, this is a privately owned cabin in the middle of a National Forest. The water may take a little longer to heat up, the electric heaters might smell a little dusty the first time they are turned on after a long summer, spiders might rebuild their webs less than 24 hours after the space is cleaned, there may be dirt on the outdoor furniture, you might need to wear insect repellant in the summer or shovel the driveway and deck in the winter. If you are looking for a luxury hotel, this is not it, but if you want a fun, comfortable getaway in the mountains, please submit a booking inquiry. You are expected to complete a checkout checklist which includes washing your dishes and putting them away where you found them, making sure all wall heaters are off, etc. Guest access You'll be in walking distance of the PMC Clubhouse which houses a restaurant, bar, recreation room, community swimming pool and hot tub (SUMMER ONLY), tennis courts, and a golf course. If you'd like to use the pool, please send names of all guests so I can register you in advance. There is a fee of $5 per person, per day, for the temporary pool passes to be paid at the pro shop on pickup. We're also close to hiking trails and the village where you'll find the Pine Mountain General Store, Bear Claw Bakery, The Perch, gift shops, and more. During the WINTER months, there is a chance of snow and/or ice on the roads. You will need 4WD/AWD or tire chains on hand. The CA Highway Patrol is often checking cars before allowing access. You may also need to show confirmation of your reservation. We have a snow shovel on the deck in case you need to shovel the driveway or deck. Parking on the street is not allowed. We've had several guests say they grew up on the East coast and know how to drive in snow, only to comment about the curvy, icy road into the forest which is no joke! Even if you are prepared, someone in front of you might not be, so have warm clothes or blankets in the car, a full tank of gas, and some snacks in case you get stuck. Other things to note There is an outdoor security camera on the property. The cabin is not in the middle of nowhere, we have neighbors on all sides. Please be respectful. There is an air horn in the downstairs bedroom closet, and whistles near the sliding glass door. If you see a bear, make a lot of noise to scare it away. - Missing items will be deducted from your deposit plus a $50 service fee per item. - NO fireworks or guns of any kind (including BB and paintball) - No parking on the street. Overall, there is an element of seclusion but occasionally people do drive by on the dirt road. I would rate the cell phone service a 7/10, it's pretty solid but can go out at times.

The living room has a wood stove and 50" smart HDTV with direct satellite & Blu Ray DVD. A skylight in the living room brings in lots of light. The master bedroom (queen bed) is separate from the downstairs and reached via a spiral staircase leading up to French doors. The master bathroom adjoins the bedroom and has a skylight over the double length tiled shower. A second bedroom downstairs has a murphy bed with a queen size mattress. There is air conditioning in the living room as well as in the upstairs bedroom and 2 fans are provided-- although generally temps are not above 85 degrees on a hot day and generally drop into the 60's in the evening. Upper and lower decks offer lovely views of Mt. Pinos and the San Emigdio range. Relax on the sunny decks or in the Adirondack chair near the pond surrounded by pine trees. Plan to do some bbqing--it is so pleasant to do some grilling on the upper deck bbq and dine outdoors. Our cabin is clean and well-kept. It can comfortably accommodate 4 people. Please NO smoking or pets! Mt. Pinos has the best view of the stars in So. California—star parties are common whenever there is a new moon. Located in a spectacular mountain setting just 90 miles north of Los Angeles, Pine Mountain Club is a residential community in the Los Padres National Forest. Relax & unwind while surrounded by acres of old forests that shelter an array of flora & fauna, including the rare California Condor. This gambrel cabin was one of the original homes built in PMC in 1976. The 70s vibe is still alive with cork floors, shag rugs, wood paneling, record players, an 8-track player & an orange Malm fireplace. The space Our 1970s chalet-style gambrel cabin is located at an altitude of 5500 feet above sea level. Both bedrooms are equipped with organic latex mattresses (queen downstairs, full upstairs) and ROKU smart TVs. There is also a TV with basic cable, a VHS player, and classic video games in the living room downstairs. Upstairs we have a projector for watching movies on a big screen. The kitchen is equipped with a full size refrigerator, oven/stove, Nespresso machine with milk frother, blender, waffle maker and fondue pot. We have board games, puzzles, records, 8-track cassettes, VHS tapes, a projector (for VHS or streaming movies), a guitar, keyboard, and a working fireplace. Towels and linens are provided. The washer and dryer cannot be used by guests, but there is a laundromat in the village and another in Frazier Park. Keep in mind this is not a hotel, this is a privately owned cabin in the middle of a National Forest. The water may take a little longer to heat up, the electric heaters might smell a little dusty the first time they are turned on after a long summer, spiders might rebuild their webs less than 24 hours after the space is cleaned, there may be dirt on the outdoor furniture, you might need to wear insect repellant in the summer or shovel the driveway and deck in the winter. If you are looking for a luxury hotel, this is not it, but if you want a fun, comfortable getaway in the mountains, please submit a booking inquiry. You are expected to complete a checkout checklist which includes washing your dishes and putting them away where you found them, making sure all wall heaters are off, etc. Guest access You'll be in walking distance of the PMC Clubhouse which houses a restaurant, bar, recreation room, community swimming pool and hot tub (SUMMER ONLY), tennis courts, and a golf course. If you'd like to use the pool, please send names of all guests so I can register you in advance. There is a fee of $5 per person, per day, for the temporary pool passes to be paid at the pro shop on pickup. We're also close to hiking trails and the village where you'll find the Pine Mountain General Store, Bear Claw Bakery, The Perch, gift shops, and more. During the WINTER months, there is a chance of snow and/or ice on the roads. You will need 4WD/AWD or tire chains on hand. The CA Highway Patrol is often checking cars before allowing access. You may also need to show confirmation of your reservation. We have a snow shovel on the deck in case you need to shovel the driveway or deck. Parking on the street is not allowed. We've had several guests say they grew up on the East coast and know how to drive in snow, only to comment about the curvy, icy road into the forest which is no joke! Even if you are prepared, someone in front of you might not be, so have warm clothes or blankets in the car, a full tank of gas, and some snacks in case you get stuck. Other things to note There is an outdoor security camera on the property. The cabin is not in the middle of nowhere, we have neighbors on all sides. Please be respectful. The wi-fi is pretty reliable but as we are in a rural area, it can be slow and it does go out from time to time. If you absolutely must have internet access guaranteed, this may not be the place for you. No shoes in the house Rules The two overriding rules are 1) Leave the home the way you found it and 2) Respect the privacy and quiet of our neighbors. - NO SHOES IN THE HOUSE - Please do not rearrange the furniture. Use coasters on wood surfaces! We loved our stay in the Tinned Ham Camper! The property itself was amazing with kitschy and fun decor, beautiful views, friendly hosts, and adorable cats. My favorite part of our stay was the hot tub just a couple steps from our door. We also loved that even though we’re in the middle of Eagle Rock it felt like we traveled to somewhere secluded and romantic. I can’t wait to return here!

This spot was chill! It’s easy to find, set up, and was a fun, novel stay! it was so quiet you could hear the birds flapping their wings and it was a lovely evening. A nice time out. Wonderful services and even better property. Everything from the bathroom decor and the interior of the teardrop trailer, to the small details around the yard that made the experience live up to its name. The hosts hospitality and responsiveness to our delays in arrival was very earnest and friendly, and their service was overall wonderful. Very cozy, very pampering, amazing hot tub. We didn’t get to use the beautiful pool with waterslide and grotto. And I haven’t even mentioned the great view, the awesome cave shower and the many kitties roaming around. A perfect getaway. Recommend 100%

This spot is absolutely amazing. It's super hidden but only two minutes from the city and anything you may need, that said it feels like a world away. The property, pool and everything else were great. There is so much cool hidden art to discover and the retro decor is awesome. Morgan and Brooke were super nice and helpful giving us a tour and we had everything we needed for the night. The camper was super comfy with warm bedding and it is literally one step to your private hot tub. Some reviews mentioned tight spaces, and it is a small camper but I'm 6'2 and big guy and me and girlfriend fit totally fine and the bed was more than big enough. I can't say enough good things about this spot! I would just make you you bring what you need. We had takeout delivered and brought our own drinkware. A small mini fridge was provided which was perfect for us, but they have a giant outdoor kitchen you can add on if you need more than that! Can't wait to come back to stay, and to rent the pool in the summer! Awesome cute cats too!

As soon as you step foot on the property you feel like you’ve left the hustle and bustle of LA, the outdoor space has a 60’s Yosemite National Park vibe. The decor is adorable with lots of fun things to discover. Everything is perfectly laid out, great landscaping with ambient lighting at night, paths to multiple sitting locations and a cute little smoking area. The bathroom is a short walk from trailer. Plenty of nice clean towels! The pool is beautiful with a cool little grotto sitting area, water slide with water fall. Cave shower that was a fun experience. Morgan and Brooke created something special with this place. They were both kind and helpful with questions. Morgan is a fascinating guy and he even invited us to his dj gig which we loved. They have an amazing catio for their sweet cats. The camper is adorable! The mattress was very comfortable, we slept well! Loved watching the funny horror movies streaming on Night Flight! There’s cozy extra blankets, gorgeous wood interior, adorable dining area. Lots of storage space for our carry ons and supplies. Many windows, a fan for air flow, kept things cool. Outside the camper Morgan set up a refrigerated cooler. The hot tub is perfect for two people with a lovely view. It was so relaxing and had a secluded feel to the space. Loved it! There’s a trashcan next to the camper, ample recycling & trash cans throughout the property. The neighborhood was quiet and safe, parked car close to the property with street parking.

I loved the open space. The ability to see the stars at night unlike ive ever seen before. The ostritch farm was really cool. The kids were a little scared bc they've never seen a bird that big before. The axe throwing and archery stations were really cool. We have never camped before. This was our first time. And our biggest thing we loved about the place was enjoying mother nature knowing that if u did not have a reservation, u were not coming in. That little sense of security helped give us peace of mind.

i was in town (from maine) for a convention, and wanted to stay somewhere quieter and cheaper than an LA hotel. this was perfect for that, tucked away in the mountains, it felt like a really nice relaxing place to return to at night. the drive was also pretty scenic for an out-of-towner. i didn’t do much exploring of the land, but what i saw was really cool! robin was very accommodating. im a hammock camper, so when i was planning my trip, i was calling around to different campgrounds to confirm whether they had trees i could hammock in. robin switched right over to facetime and showed me the places where i could hang, and even updating his listing so that i could be sure i was booking the right spot. the amenities are what i would’ve expected for what i paid for. the kitchen area was MORE than i expected, but it is certainly rustic. the bathroom was a bit dirty (ants galore on the ant farm!) and incredibly tiny, with no where to set stuff down. the light also didn’t work, so i used my headlamp. the shower was the sketchiest part, it low key felt like i was gonna fall through the floor. don’t expect the ritz, and maybe avoid the shower if you can, and you’ll be fine. 10/10 host 9/10 location 5/10 amenities

Has a really nice time camping at The Ford. The site is large and has lots of shaded, usable space. Tons of greenery and birds. It is close to a road and cars can be loud at night. Bring white noise or earplugs. The chickens were really fun to have nearby, and the frogs and crickets go crazy at night. Bugs are present, but not aggressive. Had a really nice stay.

This spot is incredible. Truly one of the most beautiful places I've ever been in my life, and it's 15 minutes from the City's swirl. Saskia and Fallon have made this such a soulful special haven -- the stone cabin is something out of a different era, the decor is so spirited, and the Canyon itself is literally jaw dropping.
