We checked out this morning and are already looking at the calendar for when we will go back. Recruiting friends to go with us. Sending the pics to family and friends. This place is a gem. It’s stunning views. The owner is the nicest guy—super helpful and welcoming and kind. We did the glamping dome option—it had all the basics we needed so we barely had to touch our camping gear, and could have packed so much lighter! It’s just so charming and comfortable. We were in heaven—such an easy distance to find such a beautiful respite. Definitely go to the Critter Camp to feed the babies. But also just get your coffee and walk to the gorgeous observation deck—you’ll likely run into the roaming herd of goats, who will sidle up to you for some love. We were greeted by a donkey upon arrival, who hurried over for some snoot pets. It’s a nature lover’s dream, just outside the city!

This glamping spot is truly a hidden gem! Set on a hill with panoramic valley views, it feels like a private escape overlooking Escondido. The geo-dome itself is stunning, and the deck views are unreal especially at sunrise and sunset. It’s the perfect place to unplug and reset - peaceful, scenic, and thoughtfully designed. We left feeling refreshed and already planning our return. Highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to Splitrock - Branch Out Glamping
What a wonderful experience! We're not big time campers, but we loved Splitrock Stargazer!
Super simple self check-in, really nice dome tent, good bed and amenities. The camp store, while tiny, had just what we needed (s'mores, etc) and we were ready to go.
We'll certainly go back and we highly recommend Splitrock.
