(Please note our 2nd bathroom is a good walk uphill from the campsites). Our larger bathroom campers can use with a shower and small fridge to store your food. We also have a playground with swing set for kids to enjoy. PLEASE NOTE: Bookings must be made at least 48 hours in advance. FIRES: No fires are to be lit by the campers without verbal consent from property owner and instruction. SEE property owner/camp host upon arrival about what you may use on the property. He will provide instructions. TASTINGS: Macala Orchards Olive Oil, Various Jellies and Jams Pomegranate Juice all made from what we grow are available for tasting upon request. Property is located in an idyllic canyon among ponderosa and Jeffrey pine forest. We are surrounded by national forest offering unparalleled privacy and serenity. There is absolutely no smoking on property. The area is surrounded by trees and wildlife and susceptible to spark. Again, absolutely no smoking. Propane ONLY firepit and grill access - please bring your own propane or you can purchase from us thru "extras". Please note: 1. This is also a working farm/homestead with chickens, a cat and a well trained GSP dog. We do get the occasional wild burro. 2. If you are bringing a pet please let us know - our acreage is NOT fenced in and there are wild animals (coyotes bears burros etc).. 3. There is absolutely no smoking on property. The eight of us had a fun time at the campsite and it was a great place to explore. Not only a spacious campsite, the bathroom and the shower is also a huge plus. 150 yards of offroad climbing to get to the campsite required some commitment for an 8 person van but it was an added fun.

This campsite is truly incredible. It has a level place to set up, a beautiful landscape, clean water, warm showers. The hosts are wonderful. We will come back many times. The olive oil from the farm is also spectacular. If you have a sprinter van like we do, be careful with the edelberry spot. It's a very narrow road road surrounded by boulders.

Gemini Moon Ranch is a wonderfully unique and charming place. We stayed in the Artist Gallery and it was so cute and comfortable. We also did a stained glass class with Tracy which was amazing!! Will definitely be coming back for Soulful Sundays, one of their events and a girls weekend.

Great campsite with fantastic views of the local mountains. The full hookup site we had was extremely nice, new, well setup with a clean picnic table and fire pit. The hilly area was fun to hike around and would be a terrific place for kids to run around and play. Weather was perfect with a nice breeze and clear sky’s. I would highly recommend this campground to anyone looking to get away from the city and spend time relaxing with family and friends.

We had a wonderful time! The land was beautiful with views of the mountains. The campsite was beautiful, clean, spacious and had a clean bathroom with a HOT Shower. Awesome! We were only 2 people and we car camped but the site (#1 Elderberry Park) is a group site. What is cool is that there are little areas where tents could be pitched that each had a little privacy. We will definitely come back with some friends. There is hiking and a lot to explore. The icing on the cake were the folks at the farm. From David, who met us when we arrived and took us to our campsite and also gave us a tour of the land. To Rich who we met out in the olive groves harvesting olives. To Genine who prepared a wonderful tasting of the EVOO olive oils they produce and her Jelly/Jams. You could really tell that they had a love of the land and wanted to share it. Needless to say, we drove off happy (and some olive oils and jams). Until next time….

We (11 people, 3 big tents) loved the campground! Beautiful views and rather quiet. Some owls, neighborhood dogs, and coyotes but nothing truly disturbing. The grounds slope a little, so make sure that you put up the tent so that your head can be at the highest point. Rich, our host, was great and was waiting for us to make sure that we would find the campground. Lovely set up and great bathroom. Rich and his ranch hand David gave us a tour of the grounds, explaining things about their working orchard. Thank you so much for all the personal attention!

This was my first solo camping trip with my dog, and I couldn’t have been happier with my choice. Absolutely loved staying at Bear Hallow. The location is super easy to get to, close to the city yet wide and open enough to feel like you’re out in the wild. Emily and her husband are wonderful hosts; so kind and easygoing. They even saved me when I forgot my heavy blankets (duhhh, lol). The camp space is cozy, with absolutely incredible night skies and the bonus of gas fire pits, perfect for cold nights and cozy early morning, I also enjoyed the fresh eggs for breakfast, which were delicious! I left feeling completely recharged and so happy with my experience. I 100% recommend staying here. 💖

Absolutely amazing! From the moment of arrival I could tell Emily & the family have a true passion for the outdoor and hospitality. The land was stunning, some of the best I’ve camped in the Big Bear area. Nicely spread out, quiet, and lots of really cool hiking trails right at your tents door. The property is very clean and welcoming and lots of goodies for the nature lovers. Book multiple nights, you won’t want to leave!!
