The Eyrie Farm

We're in a farming town with 35+ vineyards nearby.

We'd like to offer a great site to camp to those who want to get away from the big city. The Eyrie Farm is named for all the bird life around: Red-tailed Hawks nesting in nearby Eucalyptus, Prairie Falcons, wild California Quail, songbirds, plus our own turkeys, chickens, ducks and quail we raise for meat and eggs. Come stay with us and hike or tour the many wineries in the town of Ramona!

2 The Rescue Animal Sanctuary

We are a registered 501 (c)(3) non profit animal rescue/sanctuary! On our 5 acres, we currently&nbsp;house horses, mini donkeys, a mule, goats, sheep, pot bellied pigs, chickens, ducks, a turkey and a huge African Tortoise.Pitch a tent on our 5-acre property and spend some quality time with our menagerie of rescued animals. We are within a few miles of many hiking trails, as well as horse riding trails.

We enjoyed roaming the campus spending as much time as we could with the animals. The owners are there for your questions, (right away), and they leave you alone to enjoy your time. We purchased Namaste Farms in 1997 when I was showing reined cowhorses as well as raising thoroughbred racehorses.&nbsp; In 2005, I purchased my first wool sheep and fell in love.&nbsp;Today, Namaste Farms is recognized around the globe&nbsp;for raising high quality wool producing sheep.&nbsp; While sheep are the primary animals at Namaste Farms, there are countless other animals, both four legged and feathered!NOTE: Namaste Farms is a true working farm with copious amounts of sheep, goats, chickens, peafowl, and countless other animals. Along with those, we have free range squirrels, rabbits, flies, dust and yes, even free range spiders. If you're wanting a rustic experience that gives you a break from city life and you can handle dust, dirt, cobwebs (and these can happen over night inside your cottage and WILL be in the common areas), with sounds of animals vocalizing at all hours of the day and night, then Namaste Farms is a perfect fit for you. &nbsp;&nbsp;Know, you're&nbsp;supporting a 501c3 charity and all the revenue goes to support the animals.This booking is for the Treehouse, and while it's only 1/2 a mile from the city limits, it has a rural feel and is centrally located to all wineries and most of the major equestrian facilities including Galway Downs, Green Acres, and California Ranch Company. For those who are coming to Temecula for horse shows, we also have a large barn with bedded stalls and turnouts (for an additional fee).&nbsp;There are designated horse trails right outside our gates which will even take you to Galway Downs and California Ranch Company. If you're into golf, you can enjoy Temecula's 7 PGA golf courses or Pechanga Casino which are also within a short driving distance to the farm. If horses or golf isn't your thing, you can visit Temecula Valley wineries which are all ~ 1/2-3.8 miles of the cottage gates. The wineries are not within walking distance of each other, UBER is only too happy to come here and pick you up! If you're not interested in any activities and simply want a "staycation," you can hang out here where you're welcomed to walk around the farm and interact with the animals. At night, enjoy the sounds of serenity.

Splitrock Farm and Retreat started in January 2021 after a global search of a place to set roots, live off the land, and create an amazing place for recreation, relaxation, and rejuvenation. 

Splitrock was part of a 160-acre avocado farm that prospered from 1970 to 2017, generating over 1million pounds of avocados per year until the previous owners switched off the water in 2017. Ben purchased 101 acres in 2021 with plans to harvest the dead avocado trees for firewood and replant with organic, sustainable crops such as grapes, citrus trees, and flowers.

Splitrock's attraction comes from its unique groves, magnificent granite boulders, and sweeping vistas. Mixed within the avocado groves are several ancient groves and solitary trees that include 150+ foot tall pines, hundreds of old oaks, and soaring palms. Freckled throughout the hillsides are thousands of humongous granite boulders, offering a prehistoric feel to the landscape. Above all, Splitrock offers unrivaled views. Over 40 miles of coastline includes views to Point Loma, the Carlsbad power station, and the Pendleton Hospital. To the northeast are views of near 11K foot snowy peaks of San Jacinto and San Gorgonio, with rolling hills of De Luz and Fallbrook in the foreground.
