Sagewinds Farm is the first certified organic white sage farm in the world. Located in the high desert of San Diego county, between 3500 feet and 3800 ft. this beautiful 40 acres features caves, massive boulders to climb, views, flat land and privacy. At night the stars are magnificent and the milky way is visible...there are meteor showers several times a year. Permanent residents in the barn are the 2 mini horses to visit and four wonderful dogs. The nights are always cool and usually below 60% so be prepared to sleep well, even if the days are hot. There is almost always a breeze and sometimes a wind, so bring your kites. There are visiting animals that past thru and could include, coyotes, bobcats, Coatis, foxes, rabbits, quail, hawks and mountain lions. There are also some snake and lizards. We do have rattlesnakes. To make up for the rattlers we offer two flush toilets! Camp on the healthy, beautiful and first Certified Organic White Sage Farm in the World. I like to tell people that this is sacred land and it is. Come see the magnificent boulder formations. Come for the quiet. Come for the stars. Remember that the Jacumba Hotel Hot Springs and restaurant is 5 minutes away and the food is exceptional. The place to heal Beautiful high desert,(3500') with boulders, boulder mountains, caves and views. Rolling southern California terrain, home to all kinds of birds and wild life. Visit our the little town of Jacumba Hot springs down the road. Exciting things are happening there. The Jacumba Hot Springs Hotel, really good food, organic produce, and of course the Water! They offer day passes. Weekend music events at the Hotel or the The Old Bathhouse where you listen under the most incredible stars. Bazaar at the Bathouse the first Saturday of the month. This is the prettiest property in east county! And the healthiest! It is a Certified Organic White Sage farm. This is the old west! Come in the spring for the wild flowers on the land. Ken’s Eagles Nest was the perfect retreat for our babymoon. The cabin was exceptionally cozy and stocked with thoughtful amenities that truly exceeded our expectations — a clean composting toilet, a warm outdoor shower, an easy-to-use outdoor stove, and a great campfire pit for relaxing evenings. The huge windows offered stunning views that made the whole place feel peaceful and connected to nature. We felt comfortable, cared for, and completely recharged. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a beautiful, serene getaway!

We loved our time at eagles nest! Ken our host was great! He gave us great instructions on how to get to the site and also gave us many recommendations on places to visit around the area. I stayed at this glamping site for a weekend and absolutely loved it. The property itself is gorgeous—quiet, well maintained, and surrounded by nature. If you’re looking for something that blends outdoor adventure with hotel-like comfort, this place nails it. I left feeling relaxed, refreshed, and already planning my next visit.

This was an amazing stay, one of the best I’ve found on Hipcamp. There’s really no need to bring anything other than a change of clothes and whatever you feel like cooking in the outdoor cooking area. The view from the deck was incredible and the nighttime view serene. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend this stay for the outdoor enthusiast or for anyone needing to unplug for a bit. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had an amazing weekend at the Eagles Nest Mountain Cabin! Ken was a fantastic host—super thoughtful, responsive, and even sent us local tips that made our trip even better. The cabin had everything we needed and more: comfy bed, extra blankets, mini fridge, heater, ceiling fan, hot shower, and even flashlights (a lifesaver since I forgot mine!). The composting toilet worked great, and the little details made the stay extra comfortable. We loved the porch rocking chairs, propane fire pit, and being able to watch movies from bed while enjoying the mountain views. The location is also perfect—close to a casino (4 miles) and a great coffee shop (1 mile). Highly recommend Ken’s place—we’ll definitely be back!

This property is magical. So is Ellen. I was looking for a place to sleep before crossing into Mexicali and then found it very hard to leave. So much to explore on the property and surrounding area. I highly recommend staying here - just make sure you make some time to take it in!

My wife and I went for a quick weekend getaway and were thoroughly impressed. We stayed at the Eagles Nest and it was more than we expected. Ken was great to communicate with and gave us several ideas for things to do in the area. A huge plus was having the bathroom/shower connected. There are 3 cabins on the property but we didn’t even see anyone else. Ken has done a great job at taking advantage of the natural landscape to create privacy. There is a great little deck in the front of the unit with chairs that enabled us to enjoy the sunset and just relax. There was a propane stove located at a cooking area outside with various pots and pans and a cool picnic table with lights over it. Great area to relax and enjoy the serenity. Getting up to the cabin from the area you park is a steep hike but it definitely added to the experience. Make sure you can carry anything you bring. When you are there make sure and head over to Temecula Olive Oil Co and Emerald Creek Winery. Both places are close and the people there are great! We have nothing but good things to say about our stay this weekend. We are now trying to find another free weekend to go back.
