We are driving distance from Julian, CA where you can check out their famous pies! We are also close to Borrego Trails where you can run and recreate and we’re only 2 miles from Emerald Creek Winery where you can kick back afterwards. Lastly, we are only 18 miles from downtown Temecula and all food and activities they have to offer. Even though we are near to activities you can find great things to do on our property as well. You can explore our 20 acres and hike through the olive groves all afternoon. You can also feed the chickens, ducks, and horses or head out the gate where you can find miles of dirt roads to roam. You can expect some natural noises during your stay. At a distance sometimes you’ll hear coyotes, owls, and the wake-up call from the rooster. Occasionally you will hear a donkey call in the distance. Your hosts live on site and usually plan to meet and greet as needed. Once you are settled you will have plenty of privacy, but we are on-site in our private home and could be reached if needed! This listing is for our spectacular yurt tent set and an RV site called the stables up on 20 acres in a secure and safe olive grove with plenty of privacy. You can expect spectacular views of the valley below, the Palomar mountains and relaxing sunsets under a beautiful blanket of stars. Our main house is about 600 feet from the site, but you will enjoy your own outside shower, compost restroom, picnic table, propane BBQ, large cooler, and fire pit! The tent accommodates up to 4 people and an additional person could bring their tent and set up on the site as well. Amenities listed below: -Private fire pit -Private picnic table -Potable water via spigot -Propane BBQ -Washing sink -Large cooler -Private composting toilet with sink -Good cell service and reception to most cell carriers no Wi-Fi -Pets allowed -Trash bins available Additional details to note Quiet hours being at 10pm, please be mindful after this time. Until recently, it was impossible to obtain any internet access at all. Thanks to Starlink, we now have fast satellite internet on site. Please note that it is normal for the system to drop out for periods of 30 seconds up to 2 minutes at a time since this is early stage technology. STRONG WINDS The winds in the desert are very strong between February and June which may limit your enjoyment of the outdoor amenities. We do all we can to navigate around the winds but cannot control the impact it may have on your stay. POWER OUTAGES The power is cut off for 8-12 hours at least twice a year by the electrical company in order for maintenance to be done (for instance in preparation for the fire seasons). We inform our guests of outages as soon as we are made aware but cannot control the time or manner in which this may impact your stay. REFUNDS Should any inconveniences such as those listed above or anything else beyond our control affect your stay, we will not provide refunds. Please understand certain things simply come with the windy, rural, desert location. Thank for understanding! PETS There is a one time, non-refundable pet fee of $80 per pet and no more than 2 dogs are allowed. We kindly request that any pets accompanying your reservation be specified under the "Extras" section. Failure to include this information will result in the pet fee being deducted from your deposit. The property, on 5+ acres is surrounded by an additional 15 acres of BLM land. This creates an amazing opportunity to feel the desert, see the stars and unplug from city life. While maintaining the original feeling of the homestead a few things have been added for convenience: AC is wonderful in the summer, a ceramic heater for winter nights. Regardless the season, you will enjoy the striking desert batik outdoor shower.The cabin has one full size bed, that second as couch during the day and sleeps two people comfortably. The cabin has a bed that is called a short double. It will sleep one small adult or two children comfortably.

Inside you'll walk into an open concept living space complete with a fold down futon for extra sleeping space. Our kitchen is equipped with a fridge, stove top, toaster oven and local Joshua Tree coffee. Play your favorite records and open the french doors to let the outside breeze in or use the high speed wifi to work from home.
