Ettawa Springs Resort dates back to the 1920s like the fashionable resorts in the Cobb area where the rich and famous came to play. But Ettawa was oriented towards families and a more relaxed and rustic atmosphere. We are working hard to restore her to her former glory. We are excited to announce that we have one cabin and a few campsites ready for use and will be adding more as we go. The campground offers hot showers and flush toilets, two sites in the Glade have running water and power. The cabin is a fully equipped studio with kitchen and bathroom. You can hike through our property to the Boggs Mountain Demonstration Forest or just enjoy the clean air and listen to the wind and the birds. On clear nights the stars put on an amazing show. Clear Lake is about 45 minutes away with all the fishing and water sports you could ask for. Harbin Hot Springs are 15 minutes away and they offer day passes for reasonable rates. We are located about 20 minutes outside of Middletown. Be aware that half of the road is dirt (and that's better than the asphalt half) all of it is fine for small cars, just take your time. The last 1/2 mile or so is a one lane road, so please be careful of opposing traffic and uneven surfaces. We cannot accommodate vehicles longer than 28’ on these roads. Please do not take County Road 110 from Boggs/Cobb - it is not maintained at all. We offer California camping at its finest. Fresh air, whispering trees, amazing star fields . . . this can mean the less attractive side of nature as well. We have ticks, rattlesnakes, stinging things, poison oak, uneven trails and surfaces, and a bear on one ridge with mountain cats on the other (no sign of either in the campground). We keep the restroom stocked with Tecnu for the poison oak, but please watch yourselves and especially children. Dogs are welcome, but should be kept on lead and inside at night for their own protection and the comfort of others. We are fairly hands off in our hosting approach. Unless there's a question or problem, you likely won't see us. But we have people close by and are only a message away.

Our 55 acre ranch features cattle, sheep, ducks and chickens, as well as 2 small fruit orchards. Several popular access sites for Cache Creek recreation (rafting, floating) are within a 5 minute drive. We also are very close to popular off road recreation access via the Ridge Trail (County Rd 41) as well as horseback trails such as Cowboy Camp. However, we can only accommodate one or two UTV/Horse trailers at a time, as our parking is limited. We offer several accommodation options that can be combined to fit larger groups. We welcome wedding guests! Nopal Artist Studio An open concept light filled artist and musician studio featuring a pullout sofa, a large sofa in a nook, and floor space for additional camping mats. Has a full kitchen, refrigerator, stove and access to washer and dryer. En suite bathroom features a clawfoot tub. TV and DVD player, internet access. Cabin 1 Features a full size bed and a twin size bed. Perfect for parents with one or two children. Cabin 2 Features a queen size bed and small loft. (Very small, but we have had teens sleep up there because it was fun!) Both cabins have a small plug in heater, and a window AC for the hot hours. Wifi reception is limited. The cabins have a indoor/outdoor bathroom with a sink and toilet and a small kitchenette featuring coffee and tea setup, hotplate and mini fridge. You also have access to the outdoor picnic area under the fig tree which has a BBQ, picnic table and sink for rinsing dishes. There is no indoor shower, but we do have a rustic outdoor shower with hot and cold water. Tent space We have a small orchard in front of the Nopal Studio. There is room for two tent sites. No camp fires are allowed in the orchard. If it is winter time, we do have a fire ring in the fig tree picnic area, as well as a propane BBQ. The bathroom is shared with the cabins. We have farm animals and dogs which can be loud. The dogs chase squirrels and bark maniacally, and the ducks quack at sunrise, like, lots! There are also spiders, wasps, bees, rattlesnakes etc!! I had a fantastic and comfy time at Rachels land. You are on a working farm down a quiet, pastoral road. The farm is hugged by old oaks and grazing fields with colorful singing birds. Their land is dotted with a bounty of fruit trees and sheep, chickens, cows and ducks. It's really like heaven! The accommodations themselves are clean and cozy and very cute. The cabin itself fits a queen and twin bed, and the room has AC and homey, sweet details and art. Immediately outside the cabin are a few seating areas for eating or conversation/ contemplation, as well as cute ornamental garden beds. A few steps away, the kitchen was well stocked, including fresh eggs! and kind of rustic chic vibe with reclaimed farmhouse details. Care and artistry definitely went into designing the bathroom too, and it really felt like home. The space was comfy, easy to access ( not many steps between all the spots I'm talking about and from the parking itself) and it was so memorable. It's just down the road from full belly farm and about 45 minutes from wilbur hot springs. We couldn't have picked a better place to spend the night, and wake up to the birdsong!

We had a great time camping at Kimball farm! There were both a grill and a stove, plus a firepit, which made cooking super easy. Our group of 11 stayed comfortably with both tents and a cabin. We got to see horses and ducks, and the restroom was clean and flushable a big plus! There were also friendly and smart dogs on the property. If your kids love animals, this is a perfect spot for them. Highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to Kimball Farm

My small group of adults and kids had a great time at this beautiful space. We set up two tents on the lawn, which is adjacent to the cooking and seating/firepit areas. The cabin (with air conditioning!) is a few steps away and up a slight incline. We didn't sleep inside, but it was great to have a place to store items like our coolers and to literally chill out in the heat of the day. There were some ants inside, but if your food things are sealed/enclosed, that shouldn't be a problem. We also brought a shade canopy, which came in handy so we could spend more time outdoors comfortably, including using the provided grill and camp stove in the hot summer daytime sun! The pond was lovely, and there were two dogs who came and visited us often-- the owner's dog Sarah along with his daughter's dog Nala. We loved that, though I appreciated the offer to keep them away in case anyone was not comfortable with dogs. Lots of animal sounds at night and early morning (ducks, frogs, rooster, distant dog barks) , so if that is an issue for you, take note. Really appreciated the flush toilets, outdoor shower and a bathroom sink, along with a spigot with drinkable well water. We also saw two black widow spiders, but we didn't bother them so they didn't bother us. Overall we loved our stay and would definitely come back!

The guesthouse is a nice little unit with all the needed amenities. The farm is lovely and quaint with animals to interact with. But the really nice touch was the host who constantly ensured we had everything we needed and provided recommendations to nearby attractions. Will definitely be back!

Weekend Trip to Kimball Farm

Kimball farm was a great get away for us! The cabin was clean and slept 3 adults, 1 child and 1 dog comfortably. The outdoor area was everything we could ever want, bbq, stove top, picnic table, prep table, seating and fire pit. The additional grassy area and being next to the pond where we could watch the ducks and listen to the toads was the cherry on top! George and his wife were great hosts, showing us around and letting my 3 year old help with the chicken feed. Sara was an absolute sweetie pie and kept us company often. This was the perfect getaway for a normally noisy weekend with all the fireworks.

We were amazed at the creative implementation for a Japanese experience in a small CA mountain town. The private unit was authentically designed and furnished with the peaceful Japanese influences both interior and exterior! The cedar wooden furo/hot tub was very special being surrounded by bamboo walkways and nighttime lighting to the delightful flowing creek below the property. Definitely a rejuvenating atmosphere!

Weekend Trip to Cobb Mtn Retreat Cabin w/ Hot Tub

Brett’s place is lovely, it’s a very nice home in a beautiful spot. We had a great time exploring the area. We appreciate that it was dog friendly. We were able to hang out at Clear Lake and there are many wineries in the area along with cute breakfast spots and shops. Going home at the end of our day to hang in the hot tub was the best. Brett is super nice, I ended up accidentally leaving my drivers license there and he was able to help me get in touch with the house cleaner Maria who sent it in the mail. I really appreciated them. Definitely recommend.

Wouldn’t be the same without Sarah. Amazing dog!

Weekend Trip to Kimball Farm

Our kids had a blast at Kimball Farm! Our family of four (two adults, two kids) stayed at their new cabin. The cabin is beautifully crafted and is conditioned with ceilings fans and a heater/AC. This made our stay very comfortable and not limited by the weather. We are looking forward to visiting at other seasons of the year too. Our kids long the chickens, baby ducks, pond, toads, and lizards on the property. They also loved the outdoor shower. The hot water and plumbed toilets were a treat we don’t usually encounter while camping. The site is surrounded by California’s beautiful rolling hills. Spectacular views of the sunset. Town is 15 minutes away in case you forget something. You can find Yolo and Capay Valley wineries within a short drive. Host George and Susan are kind and attentive. Their dogs Sarah is a gentle dog. Our girls loved playing catch with her. Highly recommended!

Weekend Trip to Creekside Zen Writer's Cabin

The creek is so lovely. We really enjoyed our relaxing stay. Soaking tub was wonderful, lots of books to read, record player, and butterflies and birds to watch all day long. Thanks so much for sharing your space.
