The campground offers hot showers and flush toilets, two sites in the Glade have running water and power. The cabin is a fully equipped studio with kitchen and bathroom. You can hike through our property to the Boggs Mountain Demonstration Forest or just enjoy the clean air and listen to the wind and the birds. On clear nights the stars put on an amazing show. Clear Lake is about 45 minutes away with all the fishing and water sports you could ask for. Harbin Hot Springs are 15 minutes away and they offer day passes for reasonable rates. We are located about 20 minutes outside of Middletown. Be aware that half of the road is dirt (and that's better than the asphalt half) all of it is fine for small cars, just take your time. The last 1/2 mile or so is a one lane road, so please be careful of opposing traffic and uneven surfaces. We cannot accommodate vehicles longer than 28’ on these roads. Please do not take County Road 110 from Boggs/Cobb - it is not maintained at all. We offer California camping at its finest. Fresh air, whispering trees, amazing star fields . . . this can mean the less attractive side of nature as well. We have ticks, rattlesnakes, stinging things, poison oak, uneven trails and surfaces, and a bear on one ridge with mountain cats on the other (no sign of either in the campground). We keep the restroom stocked with Tecnu for the poison oak, but please watch yourselves and especially children. Dogs are welcome, but should be kept on lead and inside at night for their own protection and the comfort of others. We are fairly hands off in our hosting approach. Unless there's a question or problem, you likely won't see us. But we have people close by and are only a message away.

(Very small, but we have had teens sleep up there because it was fun!) Both cabins have a small plug in heater, and a window AC for the hot hours. Wifi reception is limited. The cabins have a indoor/outdoor bathroom with a sink and toilet and a small kitchenette featuring coffee and tea setup, hotplate and mini fridge. You also have access to the outdoor picnic area under the fig tree which has a BBQ, picnic table and sink for rinsing dishes. There is no indoor shower, but we do have a rustic outdoor shower with hot and cold water. Tent space We have a small orchard in front of the Nopal Studio. There is room for two tent sites. No camp fires are allowed in the orchard. If it is winter time, we do have a fire ring in the fig tree picnic area, as well as a propane BBQ. The bathroom is shared with the cabins. We have farm animals and dogs which can be loud. The dogs chase squirrels and bark maniacally, and the ducks quack at sunrise, like, lots! There are also spiders, wasps, bees, rattlesnakes etc!! Please be aware, this is snake country!

Welcome to Lake Pillsbury Resort Lake Pillsbury Resort is nestled in the Mendocino National Forest. Perched on the west side of beautiful Lake Pillsbury, the resort and marina are surrounded by towering pines, majestic mountains, and alluring waters. Along with cabins and campsites, the resort has a marina with docking facilities, boat and kayak rentals, a launch ramp, and the only fuel for sale on the lake. Memorial Day through Labor Day, all amenities are available, and for the remainder of the year, we offer limited services. Before and after the summer holidays, you will experience a peaceful forest setting while taking in a depth of natural wonders and the spectacular seasons. Come stay with us, there is something for everyone to enjoy at Lake Pillsbury Resort. Cabins The Resort features eight cabins nestled in oak trees looking over the lakefront. Seven of our cabins are roomy one or two-bed studio cabins, each with its own half bath, kitchen, and screened porch. We have our prized one-bedroom log cabin, bath with tub/shower, and sleeping loft. Additionally, there are two secluded cabins set back with views of Hull Mt., each with one king bed, a restroom, outdoor cooking facilities, and a porch. All cabins have access to coin-operated hot showers. We are a bring-your-own-bedding facility. All cabin guests need to bring their own linens and pillows, as there is no linen service in the area. Cabins are booked for weekly stays Saturday to Saturday from mid-June through mid-August. Nightly stays are available early season, late season, or if we have openings two weeks out from the arrival date during high season. Campsites Camping at its best! We offer 38 campsites plus 1 RV full hook-up (30amp) site, each with its own fire pit, table, and water. The campsites are nestled in a beautiful natural setting of oaks and pines, and are spread out all around the grounds with many lakefront and lake view sites. Some sit back with more privacy, but all sites offer easy access to the lake. RVs and trailers are welcome, and many sites are roomy enough to back right in. We had a lovely weekend in the woods at the red yurt of Shangri-La! It's an excellent base camp for exploring Mendocino National forest and Lake Pillsbury, yet excluded enough to be a peaceful respite. Andrea was an attentive and responsive host, and was a great help getting the heater in the yurt up and running. The on-site bathroom and potable water source were both excellent perks! The pizza oven was a fun camping twist! We got the oven up to around 250F according to the temperature gauge (it reads low, don't overthink it) and each pizza baked in 3-5 minutes. Grab a bottle of wine at the corner store on your way in, then use it to roll out your pizza dough! I definitely recommend this site for anyone seeking a cozy "glamping" experience in a relaxing forest grove!

1 night at Nopal Studio And Cabins

I had a fantastic and comfy time at Rachels land. You are on a working farm down a quiet, pastoral road. The farm is hugged by old oaks and grazing fields with colorful singing birds. Their land is dotted with a bounty of fruit trees and sheep, chickens, cows and ducks. It's really like heaven! The accommodations themselves are clean and cozy and very cute. The cabin itself fits a queen and twin bed, and the room has AC and homey, sweet details and art. Immediately outside the cabin are a few seating areas for eating or conversation/ contemplation, as well as cute ornamental garden beds. A few steps away, the kitchen was well stocked, including fresh eggs! and kind of rustic chic vibe with reclaimed farmhouse details. Care and artistry definitely went into designing the bathroom too, and it really felt like home. The space was comfy, easy to access ( not many steps between all the spots I'm talking about and from the parking itself) and it was so memorable. It's just down the road from full belly farm and about 45 minutes from wilbur hot springs. We couldn't have picked a better place to spend the night, and wake up to the birdsong!

Such a beautiful location with an incredible view—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The host, Bertrand, was very welcoming and genuinely kind, always trying his best to make us feel comfortable. He even treated us to a cup of coffee in the morning while we were sitting outside by the campfire, which was such a thoughtful touch. There were a few small issues with some amenities not working upon arrival, but it didn’t take away too much from the overall experience. We still had a lovely time and really enjoyed the stay. Would definitely recommend for the scenery and peaceful vibe!”

Spent just under two weeks in the Airstream as a solo traveler and it was perfect. Location was great - 5 minutes to things in Paradise, 20-30 minutes to things in Chico. Property was wonderful. Beautifully landscaped and tended. Lovely places to sit. Dogs and cats are friendly and chickens, sheep, and alpaca are fun to have around. The trailer was wonderful. Well appointed and nice to have the equivalent of a separate full-sized couch to hang out on while reading. Hosts were lovely. Very communicative, responsive, and welcoming. I would highly recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

What an absolutely magical Christmas getaway! From the moment we arrived, Euni's warm welcome set the tone for our entire stay. You could tell immediately that this place is truly a labor of love. The house was beautifully decorated for the holidays, Euni clearly put so much care and thought into every detail. The Christmas tree was stunning and made the whole house feel like something out of a storybook. While the weather outside was honestly terrible, rain and wind howling through those gorgeous old olive trees, inside we were wrapped in complete coziness. We'd curl up, watch the storm through the windows, and feel so grateful to be tucked away in this little haven. It was the perfect Christmas hideout for me and my girlfriend. The rustic charm, the peaceful surroundings, the sense of being somewhere truly special, we didn't want to leave. There's something rare about a place that feels this thoughtfully cared for, and you can sense the history and love in every corner. We can't recommend Trees of Heaven enough. If you're looking for a cozy escape where you'll feel genuinely welcomed, this is it. Thank you, Euni (and your husband), for making our Christmas so memorable.

Weekend Trip to Vineyard Camping at Bad Rat Ranch

We loved Marek's tiny house, where we spent a beautiful December weekend. He and his dog Ceviche were wonderful hosts. Our own dog loved roaming around the large ranch, together with Ceviche, and we also enjoyed walking around the vineyards. Two incredible wineries, Wild Diamond and 6-sigma are very close by. We enjoyed tasting wine at both, and the views from the Wild Diamond tasting rooms is amazing.

gorgeous spot and gorgeous tub. thank you andrea! it’s was extremely private and the tub leveled up our experience, now it will feel hard to go camping without one! :P if you’re going in the fall or winter, do NOT skip out on the heater add on. i figured since it was an insulated yurt we would be fine, but we were extremely cold when going to bed! luckily, the water was nice and hot all night in the tub, which was incredible. hope to come back here one day.
