Feel free to wander around the property on a few of our trails or just chill by the water and enjoy the magic of the mountains.
Our property is about a 55 min drive to the Yosemite entrance. PLUS another 15 mins to the main attractions.
Dogs are more than welcome as long as they are ok with our dog wandering around. He’s super sweet loves everybody.

River Ridge Institute, our non-profit, hosts a variety of events for the public.
Please note: you are expected to leave the ranch and kitchen area as you found it, i.e., dishes washed thoroughly and dried and put away, recycling separated from trash, food scraps in compost buckets, sticky marshmallow removed from forks and surfaces (ick!). Thank you.
Enjoy: The Kitchen has a 3-burner cooktop, large fridge, microwave, full dishes and utensils and pots and pans with a big washing area in the back. Propane barbecue grill.. Ancestral land of the Foothill Yokuts tribe. Homesteaded in 1859, owned by the Negus family from 1909-2000. Barbara and I bought it to save it from subdivision and it's now protected by a Conservation Easement and acts as a community center for the arts, music, poetry, gatherings and outdoor education. We're both biologists, so, just ask us.

Weekend Trip to WILDER BUNGALOW n/Yosemite!
We loved camping at Lisa’s tiny home!! Everything was seamless — keyless entry, quick & easy communication with the host, amenities provided and clean, all set up for us. It felt so close to nature while still being an upgraded experience. They gave us firewood and fire starters for the chimenea, the tub was so easy to use, and the kitchen was well stocked for a tiny home. They even had a whole DVD binder. 10/10 would recommend this experience!! We will be back!

What a lovely, quiet, serene piece of the world! You feel the nature around you. I recommend taking a walk down to the creek. Britany was very kind and welcoming, the camper is simple and clean (just what I was going for). Plenty of firewood and friendly animals to greet you. And the stars (lucky it was clear) were absolutely incredible. Highly recommended!

The owners are really nice and made sure I arrived safely, showed me around. There’s tons of space, fantastic views, and you feel secluded but still have some niceties around (bathroom, hammock, deck). I drove a Jeep compass on the driveway with no issue. Slept in the car on a nice flat area. Would be good for a tent set up too!

We stayed in our RV and loved it. The scenery was beautiful, the site was level and easy to access, and the rocks were fun to explore. I imagine it’s even better when the creek is flowing. The drive to Yosemite’s Southgate was less than an hour, and I highly recommend a stop at the California State Mining and Mineral Museum. We hope to return!

Great spot! with all the thoughtful touches we needed to relax after being in Yosemite. We had our pop up tent on our truck, which there is plenty of room for. A beautiful view of the canyon and sunset. About a 30 min drive to the lower entrance. We had the best time, and would happily return.

Spot is beautiful, quiet, private, and well located for nature day trips. There was some shade in morning and evening. River is beautiful but was not running (when we visited in July). Deck shown in pictures is not adjacent to camping spot — it’s down the hill in a separate area. Shower was great touch. Come prepared to dig a hole to poop across the road or drive into town. Christian was helpful and quick to respond. It worked very well over all for our group. Thanks Christian!

3 nights at Willow Belle Ranch
We stayed in an RV at Willow Belle Ranch and had an amazing time. The location was convenient for day trips to a few beautiful hikes including Angel Falls, Meriposa Grove and Lewis Creek. Coming back to the RV where we could shower and make dinner easily after a day of hiking felt like such a luxury!
The property itself is beautiful and backs onto a creek that is good for swimming. The ranch has horses, dogs and cats and we couldn’t believe how friendly they all were. We had campfires every night and went to the barn to visit the animals every day.
Britany was a great host and went out of her way to make sure we felt comfortable and welcome. We would definitely recommend this camp to anyone looking to spend some time in nature - especially if you are an animal lover!

Camp SourBerry was an excellent place to spend the evening before beginning my Yosemite adventure. The campsite was clean and the surroundings were beautiful. I also found it to be quiet and the right distance from town…not too far and not too close.
The hosts were friendly, kind, and willing to answer my questions. I also sensed they genuinely cared for my well-being. It was so great to meet them and I would stay there again without any hesitation!

Brian and Ashley’s property is tucked away but also close to many beautiful spots.
The place is well-kept and the site offers privacy and comfort. The bathroom is a plus and water access made it easier for us. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches like picnic tables, food storage, marked and lit trails for walking at night and of course the pool facing the nice view of the mountains nearby.
Additionally, having access to the deck is pretty cool, we enjoyed staying at the fire pit before calling it the night.
Brian was friendly, flexible, responsive and went above and beyond. He even helped with pitching the tent and giving great recommendations! 👌🏼
You can tell they care about creating a great experience for their guests.
Whether you’re looking to unwind, reconnect with nature, or just have a peaceful getaway, this place checks every box. Highly recommended! 💯

2 nights at Willow Belle Ranch
We picked this place before entering the silent meditation retreat. It was perfect. We want to stay in a safe, clean, beautiful, comfortable, in solitude and this place offered everything we were looking for.
Hosts are so kind and responsive. Animals on the land are so friendly. The camper was well designed, We felt safe, slept well after a day trip from visiting Yosemite. Britany has thought of everything that could make guests comfortable. We got to meet with both Peter and Britany. I highly recommend this place.

Weekend Trip to Willow Belle Ranch
We had a wonderful two-night stay in Britany and Peter’s RV! The RV was incredibly cozy—clearly, they put a lot of care and thought into making it feel comfortable and well-equipped. Everything we needed was there, and it felt like a little home away from home.
The location was peaceful and private, with easy access to Yosemite, which made day trips super convenient. One of the highlights was spending time by the creek—soaking in the water and just relaxing in nature was truly memorable.
We also loved the friendly horses wandering around the area—they added such a charming and calming vibe to the whole experience.
Britany and Peter were great hosts, and we’re so glad we chose this spot. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and unique stay near Yosemite!

Our group loved the Whole ranch, it was perfect for us. This Ranch is good for groups it already has a Pavilion for gathering. A big Kitchen to cook and store your food… The land is beside a river good for swimming… Restrooms and hit showers are also available… Overall all we have a very good experience… And Gary was very understanding and took very good care of our group.. I would definitely recommend this place.. Thank You Gary!
