This land is located less than 20 mins to multiple different Yuba River access points. We are also located in the Armpit of Nevada county with 3 access ways 15 mins each way to Grass Valley, Nevada City or Penn Valley.
The neighborhood of this area is also one of the more safer bike friendlier places, you can ride into town along the NID trails, or set up camp and head up the 20HWY less than 20 mins to enjoy Epic Mountain Biking Trails.
Not only are we crafty, but also nature enthusiasts to feel free to reach out and ask about fun things to do here, if you are looking to stay busy exploring the nature. We also have a beautiful sunset hike that overlooks some beautiful views.
Oracle Oak Grove has a wide variety of camping options.
We have a camp grounds on the lower end of the property that currently hosts 4 different camp sites. the 3 May Pole zone, and 1 Faerie fields.
There is one shared Bonfire zone that can be used for friends camping together during the spring and late fall months when we are not in fire season.
We love hosting groups and birthday parties. Also individual campers as well.
We have two yurts available if you are more into the Glamping experience or especially if camping in the winter.
The Witches Hut and The Little Witch Hut!
The Witches Hut which is larger and can fit a family of 3 or 4.
This hut includes a patio, grill, and Private entrance.
The Little Witch Hut is smaller and more suitable for a couple or a single person wanting some solo retreat time. This one has cooking amenities accessible in an outdoor kitchen just outside the yurt. This one also gets better access to the Starlink available on the property. This yurt has the compost toilet outside and is a less than minute walk to it.
Both yurts have the ability to park fairly close to them and both are fully furnished. The Yurts are available for a higher expense than the camping of course.
We are sorry to say that Hot tub season is now closed.
We do have a wood-fired Cedar Hot tub, she is our Cauldron she is only available during winter and very early spring visits. I am sorry, but due to fire season and her being wood-fired she is not available outside hot tub season.
If you are interested in the experience it requires advanced noticed as well as an extra charge for wood, cleaning, and tending. She is a labor of love, and such a unique experience. Enjoy the smell of cedar, chlorine free waters under the stars.

PLEASE come check in before DARK. We are in a very Rural Area and it can be difficult to see a night where to park and camp. Welcome to Coco, the 1970 Overlander 27’ Airstream! We have tried to preserve her 50-year-old charm as much as possible and are still in the process of restoring her to her original glory. Our family of 4 humans, two dogs, and one guinea pig lived in Coco while our house was being built. It was quite an adventure!
Coco is nestled in the foothills of the Sierras on our semi-private 4-acre property. Easy access to Grass Valley, Nevada City, and the Yuba River. Coco the Airstream is fully functional with a kitchen and bathroom. There is one full-ish size bed that sleeps two comfortably in the bedroom area, and the couch can fold into one twin-sized bed.
We are located about 15 minutes to town and 10 to the nearest grocery store. Coco the Airstream shares the property with a private family of four humans and two dogs in a house at the top of the hill. My parents are full time RVers and often stay in the other RV spot on our property throughout the year when they are taking a break from traveling. The two dogs are very friendly but may bark to greet you upon your arrival.

THE AREA
RiverSea East is located on the San Juan Ridge, an area near Nevada City and Grass Valley that extends about 24 miles between the south and middle forks of the Yuba River.
A small Nevada County community far removed from town, modern day North San Juan is part hippie, part isolationist, part new age and part conservative.It's only a 20 minute drive from downtown Nevada City, but since you have to drive up and down the heavily forested, windy river-canyon road, it feels rather remote. When you get there, it consists of less than ten businesses scattered around the mountains, a bushel of dreadlocked hippies, a bunch of pot farms, a vineyard, and LOTS of empty, undeveloped wood, making North San Juan a really beautiful place, surrounded, as it is, by forested mountains and rivers.
North San Juan is a great place to explore. There's all kinds of hidden spots, neat places to go, river access with good swimming holes and little stores and cafes. This area is spotted with little organic farms, beautiful little houses and the occasional run-down looking trailer.Farm, house OR trailer, because North San Juan and the Ridge are so sparsely populated, every residence seems to have acres of property that the people are free to plant, enjoy or neglect at will.

Camp Watanda is a retired girls summer camp. We have 10 acres of wooded property, with the 4 sleeping cabins close to the waterfront lots of space for pitching tents/dispersed camping. The sleeping cabins all have 8-10 mattresses, grilling table, picnic table, cooler, smoke alarms, rake, broom and fire extinguishers. We are pet friendly. Our waterfront has a large fire ring (only available before May 1 and after Nov 1), 2-covered pergolas, canoes, kayaks, life jackets and charcoal grill. The cooks will especially appreciate our unique outdoor “dishwashing station” for each individual (even kids!) to efficiently wash their own dishes instead of using throw-away plastic for each meal. Our bathhouse has two private toilets, two private showers with hot water and a double sink. Bring your own towels and toiletries.

Picturesque cedar cabin nestled in the pines. Located one mile from downtown Nevada City. Fifteen minutes from the Yuba River (a magical swimming/hiking spot), ten minutes from popular mountain bike trails, and forty-five minutes from the closest ski resort. Second time back for us and even better than the last time!
This property and the camper bus are UNDERRATED. The accommodations provided are above and beyond a normal HipCamp site. We felt truly like guests and very welcomed the whole time.
Rachel is a phenomenal hosts who treats her guests with much respect and is easy to build good energy with. The more we have gotten to interact the more she has been able to show us how welcoming and passionate she is about what her property offers to those that she lets enjoy it.
We got to walk around the massive property this time, and Rachel gave us good direction to explore the creek, two ponds, and even let us help feed a beautiful older (bit grumpy) horse 🐴
The only tip I’d recommend if you’re not the best sleeper is to bring a mattress topper or some camping mats. The mattress in the bus is a bit old and is not the most comfortable. But for a camping offering it is welcome to have a bed provided at all so not a real complaint, just a tip!
If you’re thinking about it, BOOK ! you won’t regret it.

We had a wonderful stay at Tanya’s place. It’s clear she’s thought of everything you might need for a relaxing getaway, particularly with kids or pet friend. The shallow, slow-moving water, fun kayaks, well-equipped kitchen, and the trampoline/play area were all highlights. The bed was comfortable and all the equipment felt top quality.
While it feels very private in that you don’t really see anyone, the main house is visible and nearby, so it has more of a “beautiful backyard retreat” feel than being fully secluded. That said, the space itself, especially the beach area still feels like a special little escape. We’d absolutely love to come back.

Weekend Trip to Ridgetop Ranch
This was truly a magical experience from start to finish. I can literally write a short story on the amazing trip me and my friends had. Chris and Rebecca are truly some of the most amazing people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. They truly made us feel at home at every step of the way. Chris and Rebecca went out of their way multiple times to make sure we didn’t have to need for anything. We were at the pleasure platform. We rented the little house as well and it is 100% worth it if you’re doing this spot. It’s nice and cozy and a getaway from the elements if needed and the bed is super cozy. It was 3 of us and we stayed 3 nights so each of us got to have the little house to ourself 1 night and 2 in the tent rotate. We were so close to our activities it felt so nice and not stressed out. everywhere we went away from the campsite was about a 15-20 minute drive. We went to Hoyt’s crossing trail and nude beach. We also went to deer creek trail which was so cool and relaxing. It has a super cool suspension bridge and easy access to the to the flowing creek below it. We also went into the little cool town and it was super jumping. Great vibes to pop out to while camping. Swing set, ping pong table, and more cool things to do provided by the hosts. They hosted a movie night with the projector..They supplied us with a generator that basically lasted the whole 3 nights for us at no extra charge. You can hike on the property as well it’s huge. Privacy was always respected. The best!

Wonderful secluded property, self check in was seamless and we didn’t see or hear another person on the private 150 acres for the entirety of our stay. The tiny home was clean and well organized, the instant hot water heater worked great for our outdoor shower and tub. This was definitely my two dogs favorite trip as they were free to roam and enjoy the property unleashed. Joe had a tent set up outside of the cabin which the kids enjoyed sleeping in. The endless supply of conveniently placed fire wood for the provided smokeless fire pit was perfect for the cold nights along with the heater/ac in the cabin. Lots of creek access which you can hear well from the cabin. Grill was clean and had every you would need to cook inside the cabin or at the grill. Multiple restrooms was also a plus. Swimming holes were fun and safe for the dogs
And kids. AT&T cell service was good enough to communicate with the outside world if needed. Bed and pillows were comfy and clean. The lighting at night was perfect. Got a good nap in on the hammock after a long day at the creek. Lots of turkeys. Trout spotted in creek. Easy drive down. My 14yo son drove the car for the first time around the property a bit. Shot some cans with pellet guns.The add ons are well worth it btw. We can’t wait to go back, absolutely beautiful and a place where time slows down and you can enjoy your family & nature without distractions or other people near by. Thank you Joe, can’t wait to come back.

The Yuba Yurt is a such a gem! Excellent location for exploring Nevada County and the Yuba River— about 20 mins to Nevada City and easy river access in either direction. The Yurt was well stocked with all the comforts of hike and lots of special touches.

This was a fun spot and the kids loved all the activities, including kayaking and the trampoline! All gear was new and high end, you can tell Tanya is caring a lot about her spot. The creek was great, very slow in front of the site so there was no dangers for my kids (13 and 7 yo) to play in the water. The tents were super cute and cosy, and the fact we had the whole site to ourselves was also a great bonus!

-Very private (literally no one else there) which is hard to find nowadays. This is especially nice when you have dogs!
-There’s multiple access points to the creak close by the tiny home but to get to the good spot it’s a bit of a walk (which is totally worth it).

4 nights at The Yuba Yurt
Came here for the third time with my partner and my dog and it was again wonderful! We really enjoy the yurt and the local towns and trails. It has everything we need for a cozy comfy getaway and is near one of our new favorite trails, the independence trail. We usually take our trip in the winter around New Year's but this time we came a bit later, it was fun to come closer to spring. There were more animals about and plants in bloom.

Weekend Trip to Honeycomb Hut
We had a great time staying at the Honeycomb Hut! Even with the weather taking a serious turn, we were perfectly comfortable and dry inside, warming up near the gas fireplace under the romantic glow of the fairy lights. And I can't forget to mention the outhouse, it was the ABSOLUTE cleanest bathroom set up I've seen thus far throughout my experiences with hipcamp. In all, the Honeycomb Hut had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and I would definitely stay again.

1 night at Tranquillity Base Ranch
We loved the stargazer lookout it was so spacious and there was a heater to keep warm. The property was beautiful and it felt like we were alone out there. The outdoor shower at the sauna is so nice and warm and a great vibe. We can’t wait to come back one night wasn’t enough. We jumped in the river by Bridgeport and went for a little hike that was only a 15min drive from the yurt. Love it!!

We loved staying at The Manzanita bus! The host Rachel was so friendly and helpful when it came to things around the bus even helped us start a warm fire ! The shower and compost toilet were right around the side of the bus so no walking far during the night. The stove was easy to use and having warm water in the sink and shower was a plus! We had an amazing time and would love to stay here again! 100% would recommend to anyone looking for a cozy private place to stay!

I loved everything about staying at Rachel's place! First of all, she is so warm and welcoming. Next, the dogs, cats, horse, and kittens (!) were so sweet and adorable. The bus was exquisite - being surrounded by gorgeous dark wood while cozying up next to the fire or cooking was a lovely, unique experience. And the land is beautiful - the bus is right in the middle of a manzanita forest and I enjoyed walking around the hilly slopes to find the best sunset view. I'll be back for sure!
