If you think you may have problems with any of these things PLEASE DON'T COME!!! We also have a dog named Sara that loves people. Most campers that come are very happy to have her around. She is polite and good with children. Some of you may not like dogs, if that is the case this will not be a fun experience for you. Please note that as of spring 2021 we no longer have as many animals. Because of the drought feed prices are too high.

Our property is lakeside at Rollins Lake In Colfax. We live on over 30 private, beautiful acres with footpath access to Rollins Lake. (3 minute walk from the dome or house, and 10-15 minutes from the cabin) where most summer days here are spent swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing ect., down at the water. Please note the Cabin is set on a seasonal CANNABIS garden. All three sites are vacation spots with AC and WIFI, not just simple accommodations, but experiences. The remarkable property is very hilly with pines and oaks. You can follow our driveway to the bottom and access the beginning of The Bear River which has a nice hiking trail alongside it or drive 8 minutes to the nearest boat ramp and 10 minutes to the town of Colfax where you will find gas, groceries, and restaurants. We have a beautiful spot where you will not see any neighbors so it is peaceful and private with gorgeous 360-degree views. It is also very safe! Bask in nature, quiet, and privacy! In summer there is a 3-night minimum for the cabin and dome. Occasionally a two day midweek will pop up on the schedule last minute. To see correct pricing, enter your dates as they can fluctuate with holidays, weekends. Prices are decreased midweek. It is quiet and beautiful. Usually cooler because it is right on the water. The dock goes out to the 4 acre pond which is stocked with Bass. You will need to keep food inside of the Cabin/Sauna because we share the space with the animals that live here. The pond is shared with one other neighbor, so you may see other people playing on the pond or hear nearby activity through the trees. It's a great place to hang your hammock and bring a good book or birdwatch. Frolic has been an adventure for me in Saying Yes to life and the rewarding challenges it brings. I fell in love with the huge grama oaks, the pristine pond and the feral overgrown everything. It has been a workin' progress and lots of time to sweat, craft, pause and listen. The property is shaped like a pint glass, running north to south, with a lovely bowl the pond sits in and an ancient meadow up behind the cabin full of apples 🍎 & pears 🍐. Up the hill, a hotter zone, more exposed with its own beauty, where we live. On the occasion, one of us may come down to the pond for a swim, especially when it's too hot up top. We will be respectful but likely just need to cool down. Frolic has been a great teacher in reminding me to PLAY, relax and go with the flow. I hope you can find the same joy and rejuvenation here.

The cabin was very cozy and the scenery was beautiful. It was near a lot of wonderful hiking trails and a cute town. It was the perfect mix of secluded but not totally isolated and even though it was cold, the cabin is a converted sauna and got very toasty with a fire.

Fantastic space and very responsive hosts. Would definitely come back. If you don't have a 4x4 vehicle, there will be a little walk to the cabin.

Marek's property is really special! Tucked away from the main roads and few neighbors. Beautiful views in the day and stars at night. There was cell service on property and the guesthouse was easy to find.

I came to get away from a busy city life and to celebrate opening a restaurant. This property allowed me to completely disconnect, center and ground myself. As much as a wanted to get away from people and the world I soon realized that what I needed was to meet some truly amazing people who aligned with my core values on nature and passion. Akhi, Borro and Aldo were beyond warm and welcoming to us. They made us feel like family and I soon looked forward to bumping into them. He mentions this place to be Shangri-La and that is spot on the most perfect description of our experience on their land. Surrounded by rugged nature and wildlife with a trail walk to crystal clear sanctuary of river full of adventure and exploration. I stumbled upon this site and now am making it my regular space to recharge.

Weekend Trip to Kimball Farm

We had a great time camping at Kimball farm! There were both a grill and a stove, plus a firepit, which made cooking super easy. Our group of 11 stayed comfortably with both tents and a cabin. We got to see horses and ducks, and the restroom was clean and flushable a big plus! There were also friendly and smart dogs on the property. If your kids love animals, this is a perfect spot for them. Highly recommend!

3 nights at Rollins Lake Retreats Decorated 🎄

We absolutely loved our stay at the cabin. It was private & secluded. We actually never made it down to the lake which was okay with us because we were out exploring other things. The cabin had everything we needed to make a small breakfast, enjoy coffee (Keurig) with coffee mate, sugar, and even had some snacks & SPF for us. It was the perfect accommodation for our needs. The road getting up to the house was a little sketchier than anticipated but we put our Jeep in 4Wd & it was fine. I think it would have been okay without it though.

Weekend Trip to Kimball Farm

My small group of adults and kids had a great time at this beautiful space. We set up two tents on the lawn, which is adjacent to the cooking and seating/firepit areas. The cabin (with air conditioning!) is a few steps away and up a slight incline. We didn't sleep inside, but it was great to have a place to store items like our coolers and to literally chill out in the heat of the day. There were some ants inside, but if your food things are sealed/enclosed, that shouldn't be a problem. We also brought a shade canopy, which came in handy so we could spend more time outdoors comfortably, including using the provided grill and camp stove in the hot summer daytime sun! The pond was lovely, and there were two dogs who came and visited us often-- the owner's dog Sarah along with his daughter's dog Nala. We loved that, though I appreciated the offer to keep them away in case anyone was not comfortable with dogs. Lots of animal sounds at night and early morning (ducks, frogs, rooster, distant dog barks) , so if that is an issue for you, take note. Really appreciated the flush toilets, outdoor shower and a bathroom sink, along with a spigot with drinkable well water. We also saw two black widow spiders, but we didn't bother them so they didn't bother us. Overall we loved our stay and would definitely come back!

4 nights at Rollins Lake Retreats Decorated 🎄

The cabin was secluded and we didn’t see anyone else during our stay there, and it was cute and comfortable. Hosts were great about taking us down to lake which was great for swimming and water activities. Road to cabin is dirt and gravel and we could not do it in our non-4 wheel drive car, but we could park further down and walk up. Just beware of this.

Weekend Trip to Frolic Pond Cabin

The Nest on Frolic Meadows was fantastic. It is very bare bones, but provided everything we needed and was exactly what we were looking for. There is no electricity or WiFi signal, so be prepared to get off grid and just enjoy the serenity of nature. There is a compostable toilet just right up the path, close to the cabin, which was totally fine. There was a cute little tree frog that I had to move away when using it. You will be in nature here, so you will also have to appreciate all the wildlife around you. Speaking of wildlife, there were over 16 species of birds in the area that my Merlin app picked up. There is a small area for storage in the unit that is separate from the sleeping area. The double or queen bed was enough space for my 11-year old and me to sleep comfortably. We brought blankets, but it was so hot this past weekend that we didn’t really need them. The cabin cooled off nicely at night with the sleeping area window open. Matia was a great communicator and made the directions very clear; it was easy to find, and I am glad we did! The pond right out the door from the cabin provided; it had a nice temperature for swimming and it was good fishing. There were both large mouth bass and bluegills. In our short stay, we caught two bass and three bluegills. There is only one other property bordering the pond. There were some folks enjoying it, but only for a couple hours. For the most part, we had the whole place to ourselves. Highly recommended!

The guesthouse is a nice little unit with all the needed amenities. The farm is lovely and quaint with animals to interact with. But the really nice touch was the host who constantly ensured we had everything we needed and provided recommendations to nearby attractions. Will definitely be back!
