This place is an amazing find. It’s quiet and peaceful. Everything is there and set up for you. All you have to do is show up. This is my second stay here and I will definitely come back again.

When we first arrived John handed us a printout of wifi, rules, etc. It was very helpful since cell phone reception was limited. The campsite was quiet, well maintained and they had firewood waiting for us! Very clean bathroom. My dog LOVED running around and exploring :) The only thing is the driveway is narrow so just be aware of that if you have a camper. Overall wonderful place to stay.

This was an amazing find. This property is so nice and clean, it's secluded without feeling scary. They had fire wood and a table with chairs all set up and ready for us. The restroom and warm shower were much needed after long excursion days. On our last night the sky's cleared and the stars were STUNNING. The hosts were lovely and gave us the space to enjoy our time. I would definitely go back.

Weekend Trip to Radio Ranch Camp

This place is a total gem. The creek scenery and sounds and lush green were incredible. Deeply nourishing. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Like a white cloud. I begged the owner for the links to buy the pillow and comforter lol. There is a cool massage room and had a very relaxing massage. Only thing I would do different is rented a tent closer to the spring because it’s too beautiful not to be close.

3 nights at Radio Ranch Camp

We had a wonderful time at Radio Ranch. We had initially planned on doing several hikes while in that area, but after spending one day on the ranch, we didn’t want to leave. It was so relaxing just to sit by the waterfall and read! All of the accommodations and amenities were perfect and we were really comfortable. I would 100% recommend this place!

Weekend Trip to Little Haven Gardens

Laurie has a great spot in a beautiful rural part of Humboldt - 5 min from Eureka to the South or Arcata to the North. Nestled among small hobby farms she has access to a green space adjacent to her property, or it is a lovely walk up the lane to a trail amongst the ferns and Redwoods. The grassy camping area is perfect for tents or a camper van. We were able to get our 23' travel trailer situated, but it was a bit tight - I'd be hesitant to squeeze in anything bigger, especially if youre not comfortable backing a trailer. Once we were set up though, we had enough room to put out the awning and spend time outside. There is a hedge separating the site and the house, so we never lacked for privacy. Laurie shared we were the first trailer on her spot, so we were glad it worked out so well!

Wendy & John are amazing! They have a very Magical property to say the least. My girlfriend and I had a very calming stay. Wendy & John are amazing people. Great campsites available. A steam runs along a couple of the campsites, very relaxing to fall asleep too. Another huge bonus is they have hot showers and the beach is right down the road! I would recommend everyone to come here:)

Had a really great stay at the farm. Sites were nicely set a part. Room for my pup to run around. And access to a hot shower and the beach nearby on a cold drizzly day was lovely. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to get away car camping and not be in a crowded place.

Wendy and John have a great farm and are the most friendly hosts we’ve met. We had a great time in our two nights stay. The sites are well separated which provide privacy but yet close enough to the facilities. The flowing creek provides great ambiance to an otherwise quiet stay.

We loved everything about this place! John and Wendy are adorable SUPER hosts! There was firewood, firestarter, and a lighter waiting for us when we got there; a table and four chairs already set up; and it was perfect for the two of us and what little we brought with us. The bathrooms were super clean and well appointed. The location couldn’t have been better with only four campsites situated around the edge of the meadow at the tree line. We felt like we were completely by ourselves. We met a really nice couple who also happened to be camping across from us the same night and because we were so spaced apart, we still felt like we were there by ourselves. The property is lush, green and gorgeous, and the drive to get there was full of farms with adorable cows, sheep, goats, and chickens. We will be going back for sure. We used the site at the far back of the meadow using our own tent and had no problem riding our adventure motorcycles out across the meadow to get there. Got lucky and found wood to keep our kickstands from sinking - the ground was nice and soft. 😊 We fell asleep to the rumble of the ocean crashing in the far distance and woke to the sound of screech owls cooing back-and-forth to each other. 🥰 This was exactly how we like to camp - quiet, tranquil, no loud neighbors or music or partying. Yay! Bonus to meet and love on the resident pup Louie - super friendly and adorable. 🥰

Really amazing property up in the hills. The yurt is really a yurt + master bedroom and laundry room. The kitchen is well appointed and hosts communicate well. There are great hikes nearby and river rafting is close. The doggies are the best!!!!

My aunt and uncle bought the property in 1947 from itsfirst European settler, Paolo Gabrielli, who immigrated in early 1914 from northern Italy with slips of his grapevine in the lining of his coat. (The grapevine still grows over the back deck.) What can you expect? Quiet, beauty, birdsong, ocean roar, widely spaced campsites (only 5 on the 5 acres set aside for camping), extra stuff to purchase if you need or want it (fresh bread, soup, cobbler). Free firewood, local tips on travel and where to hike or what to visit. Or total solitude. Bring your (most non-cattle-chasing breeds) dogs if you wish (males must be neutered). Starlink internet. Walk to the beach of our wild ocean along a no-shoulder country road. We have no visible neighbors, no ambient light or sound. The air is clean and clear and the water is potable from an artesian spring on the property. No electricity at the sites and no generators allowed. (Charge your electronics at the farmhouse.) The Victorian village of Ferndale is three miles east, as is a beautifully maintained 110-acre town wilderness with hiking trails called Russ Park. Little Haven Gardens

Country setting yet 5 minutes to Humboldt State University, Arcata square, or Eureka, 15 minutes to Trinidad, Su-Meg (Patrick's Point), Blue Lake, and Moonstone Beach, 45 minutes to Redwood National Park, and so much more! Parking spots are on flat grassy field, near neighborhood road, typically very quiet and dark at night. We have nice bay breezes most every summer afternoon, and summer daytime temperatures are usually around 65 degrees. Abundant organic fruit free for the picking includes blueberries, blackberries, thimbleberries, kiwis, plums, pears and apples depending on the time of year (typically June through November) and we usually have fresh duck and chicken eggs, veggies, and culinary herbs (rosemary, thyme, sage, lavender etc.) to share from our garden, which is a work in progress, like many things! You're welcome to hang out by the very private creek for morning coffee or afternoon picnics and great bird and wildlife watching--if you're lucky you might even get to see river otters fishing and playing in the creek! You might want to bring water shoes or rain boots if you'd like to wade across the creek and explore the beautiful, serene 60 acre private nature preserve that borders our property. We have a young son and you'll often find us working and playing in the garden, creek, or around the property during the days

We've been carefully tending and nurturing this forest for just over two years to mechanically remove invasives like scotch broom, himaylayan black berry, English ivy, Pampas grass, bull thistle, and non-native onions while reintroducing native species.
