If you’re looking for a quiet getaway with a few close friends or your family, this option is for you. Tucked in along the South Fork of the American River, this beautiful campsite features picnic benches, a propane fire pit with propane included (fire pits help prevent wildfires), and a prep table for fixing up those tasty fireside meals in group sites. Guests also have access to shared bathroom facilities (and yes, there are showers!), volleyball, ping pong, communal benches, a sink and dishwashing station, and a common swimming area along the river. Most sites are within a very short walking distance to the banks of the South Fork of the American River, this place is ideal for anyone interested in experiencing the beauty of the foothills and the rush of the river. We offer both tent and RV sites. Each RV site includes its own picnic table, water and 30Amp power hookups. Guests will also have access to our volleyball court, ping pong, communal benches, and a common area with a sink and dishwashing station. Additionally, you can access the swim area and go for a dip to cool off on a hot day. We offer toilets, showers, trash disposal, potable water and more depending on the site you chose. Leashed pets 45 pounds or less are allowed as well. We had a great one night stay at RockNWater Cove Camping! We stayed in Curley w/ an RV but definitely want to return to camp at one of the tent spots. The hosts, Kris and her husband, were super nice and answered lots of questions we had. The river access is really pretty w/ a nice beach area. Plusses are flush toilets, showers, propane fire pits with propane provided, potable water and electric hook ups. Looking forward to going back next summer!

As someone who loves camping it’s always so hard to get reservations at public parks. So thankful to Hipcamp and Kris for this site. We had a river view with a lovely public beach steps away. I got to wash my face in fresh river water in the morning. Kris’ husband checked up on us and made sure we had enough propane for the gas fire pit. It was a lovely stay and I hope I get to return!!

The Riverside site was private, near the river, and elevated safely above any possible changing river flow. Riverside was smaller than the other camp sites, but it had the best view and was the most private in the camp. The larger camp itself was spread out. Each individual site had its unique characteristics

We had a wonderful stay! The campsite is set in a quiet and naturally beautiful spot along the American River — peaceful and relaxing with gorgeous scenery all around. The hosts were fantastic — very welcoming with great communication, and they made sure we had everything we needed. The location is perfect for hiking, with easy access to nearby trails. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a serene getaway with great hosts and plenty of nature to enjoy!

Super easy check in and check out. Camp site was perfect though a little close to the neighbors. Showers, restrooms and trash cans were all well maintained. Food and coffee was close. The river is pretty amazing. If the camp sites by the river are full, it can get a little crowded and noisy down there. Epic place. Hosts were awesome

This place is a dream. it's probably one of the most beautiful camping spots that I've ever stayed. You can see the river from you spot but just a few steps to get to the water. Also we loved how private it is - there was a little noise but nothing to affect your stay. Some things to note: this spot does not have water or electricity on site. You will need to walk to get access to a sink and porta-pottys (but they are kept very clean). And the showers are even further away. but the site does have a gas fire pit (which we loved) and a canvas shade top that's over a picnic table. Also while the river is amazing, please note that it has a pretty strong current so if you have small children, I would strongly advise to bring a life jacket. Also, the couple that manages the grounds are amazing. the first night the power was out and I was having trouble finding the showers and Kris was very responsive. Also the next morning our car wouldn't start and she came to help us jump our car. Felt good to know that someone is there is case you need any help. Overall, we had an amazing trip and I would def recommend this place to anyone. oh, also right next door to the campsite is a company that I believe does rafting - we didn't do it but would love to do it next time.

We loved camping at RocknWater Cove. Really spacious, clean portapotties, it was great to have propane firepits, showers and so many picnic tables for our group. The little beach is amazing, and it was fun to hang out and cheer on the whitewater rafters during the days. Paul the camp host came by periodically to make sure we were well taken care of. The two sites nearest the water were best for beach access + privacy, and Oak was the best for beach access + gathering with our whole group.

This is a beautiful campground! We were there midweek in September and the place was so quiet and lovely. The site for our little RV was spacious, exceedingly manicured and was nestled in some gorgeous trees. They provided a gas campfire, complete with a propane tank. The showers and bathrooms were very clean. There was a sweet trail to the river where there was a beach area and a bit of shade for the warm day. The river was still running high (watched some kayakers and rafters go by) so a bit too rough for swimming. This is definitely a place we will go to again! My favorite HipCamp site this summer!

We loved tent camping at Kris’ campsite! My daughters had such a great time staying close to the water, and we even caught some crawdads. While the tent site doesn’t have direct access to the water or trash, that’s never stopped us from coming back—this is one of our favorite spots, and we’ve returned multiple times because it’s always so much fun. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great family camping experience!

Welcome! Have you ever wanted to experience the off season of a Christmas Tree Farm? Here is your chance! We are a choose and cut farm serving families since 1984. We are located in Foresthill 30 minutes above Auburn. 15 minutes from the town of Foresthill. We offer off grid RV camping in the forest right off Foresthill Road, here you can experience the view of the Crystal Butte Mountains. Additionally, we offer close access to dirt bike trails. You can hike our 55-acre farm, ride mountain bikes, or even bring your horse for trail riding. We have a communal fire pit meaning - all campers are expected to share the one fire pit we offer. All roads on the farm lead back to the campground. What does off grid RV camping mean? Well, that means we have no power or water hook ups. We do have potable water access. You are more than welcome to bring your own generator if you please. Quite hours from generators and campers are from 10pm-8am Are Dogs welcome? Of course they are welcome the are family. All we ask is for them to be leashed at all times and no poop bags are allowed on the farm. Their poo helps fertilize our trees as nature intended. However, please clean up after your pets in the camping area and please take it with you when you leave. Don’t feel like cooking while your camping? No worries we have restaurants in town that would love to serve you. Lastly, the farm has no trash cans or dumpsters on site. We are a "pack it in pack it out" farm. History of the snowy peaks- the Wilson family started the Snowy Peaks Farm in 1979. When you camp with us the tallest trees you see are planted from the original family. Snowy Peaks opened the gates for choose and cut Christmas trees in 1984. Since then, the property has had 3 owners: the Wilson’s, Armstrong's and now the Jones family who are continuing the tree farm legacy. Over the years we have HAND planted (yes hand planted) well over 30,000 trees to make up for every single tree we sell during the Christmas tree season. The trees we have on the farm are white fir, red fir (silvertip) and Doug fir. Want to know some more history about the farm? Ask us while booking we love to branch out our tree knowledge.

This private lake supports the fire protection efforts of the Mosquito Fire Protection District and the firefighters of this community.
