Our property sits on top of a hill on 10 acres of beautiful panoramic views of Cahuilla and, Palomar mountain along with rolling hills of large rock formation and colorful wildflowers in the spring. Nestled up to the wildlife preserve of the government bureau of land management which provides more of a quiet and private setting to enjoy what nature has to offer. You will see Jack rabbits and cotton tail bunnies, roadrunners, quail, owls, different type of birds, hawks, coyote, lizards, snakes and even some toads. On occasion you may see deer, Bob cats, mountain lion along with endangered kangaroo mice, The beautiful night sky is easy to see planets and shooting stars without the interruption of city lights. There are many trails to walk, hike, bike and horse back ride where you can discover large boulders in different shapes and sizes along with hidden caves. A variety of rocks and minerals can be found for those rock hound enthusiasts as well. At the camp site you will find a horseshoe pit ,indoor and outdoor games and treasure hunts for everyone to enjoy. If you want to bring your own set of golf clubs you can even hit some balls! Pets are welcome. We provide dog kennel. There are off road areas nearby. Bring your motor bike, quad or buggy and throw up some dirt. Not to far there is a Casino, small store and a restaurant and about 30 minutes away from the Temecula wineries. You don’t have to worry about packing up a bunch of camping equipment, our camp provides a 35 foot RV if you prefer a roof over your head and a place to sit down for a meal runs off a generator ( you will need to provide your own fuel. it is a 5 gallon capacity). and has indoor and outdoor lights and electrical outlets to plug in a fan or your phone We have a cooler for you to use bu you will need to provide your own ice. There are dishes and utensils and a toilet. and water in and outside (You will need to bring your own blankets, sleeping bags and towels). Weekend Trip to Birdsong Backcountry Retreat

I loved staying at Camp Chester! The camper and bathroom are well equipped with just about everything you might need! I loved the little outdoor kitchen. The view from the bathroom is a bonus :) There was plenty of room for my dog to roam around and enjoy all the sniffs! It was so quiet and peaceful. I loved hearing the coyotes at night, the breeze through the trees and the birdsongs. We got to take in a peaceful sunset at Zen Point and enjoy the nature trails around the property. It truly felt private and secluded. This was our second stay at Birdsong, and I’m sure we’ll be back again sometime!

We enjoyed the solitude and the views of the desert. There are so many stars at night. Although there is an RV with plenty of space the kitchen is not functional and you have a run a generator for lights at night. As long as you’re prepared for an indoor camping and outdoor cooking experience you will be fine.

The Little Red Barn is a cozy and comfortable glamping stay located conveniently near Valley Parkway in Escondido, close to shops, restaurants, and great hiking at Elfin Forest. It’s one of three glamping structures on the property. The high ceilings and additional loft mattress make the barn feel spacious, and we appreciated the little touches like electricity, a fan, and a heater for cooler nights. The shared bathroom area was clean, modern, and had reliable hot water — a big plus! There’s plenty of shared outdoor space with picnic tables, lounge chairs, and seating areas, making it a great place to relax. We didn’t even need to use the heater during our mid-October stay — the weather was perfect. This spot is a great introduction to camping for those who want the outdoor feel without being too far from the city. Our pup loved exploring the space (though the $50 pet fee is a bit on the higher side). Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, laid-back glamping experience close to town!

After being 50% excited and 100% lost I called our host Jackie. When she came to get me I knew I made the right choice. She was warm, welcoming and the cookies were fire. As I walked into Pinky’s Bunkhouse I knew I would get the much needed reset that I desired. My first night I watched the sunset from the hot tub. The next morning I set off on the several hiking trails, enjoyed the natural rock formations and was inspired by hidden treasures along the way: a wooden swing, a tree phone and those sunsets! The sites were all private and the bathhouse was really cute. Extremely pet friendly with no additional fees. My two Great Danes and senior boxer found their zen and I got my reset 😃

Weekend Trip to Birdsong Backcountry Retreat

I stayed at Bluebird Tiny House during a hot weekend in July. Everything about my experience was enjoyable. I would consider Bluebird Tiny House glamorous glamping. The converted horse trailer had so many well thought out details & touches inside and out. It has a full kitchen, everything needed to cook and grill. It has a working toilet, tub, shower and well water, which was very tasty. It was a hot weekend, but the AC was running when we arrived in mid afternoon. We never needed the heater, and we left the windows open all night. I was amazed at how quiet it was. This location is so quiet and secluded, you’d never know anyone was around. The nearby hikes had amazing views. Bluebird Tiny House has a gas fire pit and an impressive hot tub, perfect for star gazing. The whole experience was so relaxing, and well worth paying a little extra for comfort. We hope to go back in the next year!

The tent is really cute and welcoming. We had little trouble locating it at first due to GPS instruction. The tent has nice and comfortable blankets and bed / couch mattress are comfortable. Overall it is great stay. However. There is only one shared bathroom & shower for 3 units (which can total up to 10 people if fully occupied).. it will be nice to have an extra bathroom.

This place is extremely cute, and the hosts were helpful and communicative. Coming from Hollywood, I was SHOCKED at how QUIET it was here. And how dark it was at night!! It was crazy! You really feel like you're "off the grid," which is nice. The surrounding area is mountainous and desert-y and really pretty. The cabin was well stocked, air conditioned, and homey. It was a little too hot to be outside (with an elderly dog) during the day, but we enjoyed some amazing hikes during the evening hours - I'd particularly recommend hiking to the Zen Point around sunset. The bathhouse was a super quick walk from the cabin so that was no biggie, and it actually had a nice shower! It was overall nicer than I was expecting. However, if you're on the shorter side in terms of height, be mindful of how your anatomy...um...interacts with the nuances of the toilet. You'll see what I mean :) We didn't go full-on with the nature therapy trails, but if meditation and mindfulness are your jam, then you'll probably enjoy them. Overall, the vibes here were excellent. Bring sunscreen!!

Hidden gem 30 minutes from Temecula wineries. Cheri was amazing. She may want to advertise how great her location is. Clear night skies and plenty of space for our dogs. There was even a small outdoor kennel which was nice to have when we wanted to pack up and let the dogs chill. Cheri was there when we arrived and showed us how everything works. The RV is super clean. Couches were super comfortable. And the generator ensured we had lights and a radio. The radio has speakers inside and outside. This was a nice touch as we cooked on the bbq. There’s a generator. Being your own gas, but there was some when we arrived. It holds 5 gallons. We probably used 1.5 g per night. - heads up it’s not clamping. There are things in the RV that don’t worrk, fridge. But they are minor. To save water you must flip a switch outside before using. Again, not a big deal. We also pitched a second tent for our group. Plenty of space. In the morning we played frisbee and horseshoes. I hope to be back again soon.

What a magical place!! The host was always available whenever we needed anything or had a question. It’s the perfect spot to disconnect and truly enjoy some time away. The cabin is super cozy and well equipped with everything we needed. My girlfriend and I loved exploring the nearby trails. The fenced yard was a huge plus, our dogs were safe and could roam freely! This was a very cute glamping spot. Easy to find and safely nestled on the property of the owner. You can tell the owner has put their heart and soul into decorating and furnishing the site. It is very “homey” and the bed was very comfortable and the yurt was extremely spacious. In fact, they had it set up like a little studio apartment!
