The spot was lovely. Ted did an amazing job building the little cabin. It was like sleeping in nature. We loved walking into town and seeing the sheep. We had everything we needed. Whenever we saw Ted, he reminded us to ask for help if needed. There is a list of helpful tips in the cabin and a way to call or text Ted or Emily.

Cute cabin set in a lovely wooded setting. We loved our stay. Enjoyed breakfast every morning at the nearby cafe. The basic kitchen was fine to make coffee and light lunch and dinner. This is a pleasant glamping experience.

Weekend Trip to Bayside Cabin

we loved our stay at the cabin! it was super close to the beach and to lots of cute plays to eat while still getting the outdoor camping feel. they had absolutely everything we could ask for with even providing a camping stove already hooked up to propane. Along with that the outdoor shower was a dream with hot water! the outside kitchen set up was so nice and had all the plates silver wear and amenities you could need. the cabin itself was pretty close to the other house on the property but covers with lots of trees so it’s created some nice privacy. the inside of the cabin came with a stove heater which made nights super cozy! we loved getting to see how many banana slugs we could find in the morning, they were a super entertaining part of our trip!

This is such a cool little spot, we really enjoyed our night here. The cabin is very cute and after some nights camping, it felt like luxury! We met Ted and had a great talk with him, it was great to hear about the land and how they have continued to build it up. The cabin is pretty close to the two houses on the property but it is secluded and felt private. I would definitely stay here again if passing through the area. Thanks, Ted and Emily!

We loved the Bayside Cabin! We had everything we needed to be comfortable here. The lodging is very comfortable and the banana slugs were very cute lol. Will be returning!

This was my favorite stop on our trip. We loved it so much. We stayed in Arcata to spend time with the Redwoods. We loved every aspect of it honestly: - The location was awesome, close to good eats/coffee but feeling really removed and tucked away in the trees. Also it was a great distance to all redwood interests! - The outdoor kitchen was great, had all the essentials, we enjoyed many meals out on the porch. - The outdoor shower was a dream. Super simple but tucked into the trees and the water got hot fast! - The bed and inside area was great. We could have used bringing one more blanket probably but we like sleeping cold so it worked great for us (we didn’t need the wood stove) - The land it was on was lovely - And the overall ambiance was spectacular - oh and we made lots of slug friends. Loved every one of them! Ted and Emily were awesome, they were around their property just doing their thing and were super timely and attentive with any questions or additional info. Wish we could have stayed longer! Would definitely stay there again!

My partner and I loved staying here. Ted and Emily were kind enough to host us last minute, and it was such a fun little getaway. Fireplace and outdoor shower were my favorite amenities. Hosts were flexible and quick to answer any messages. Would definitely recommend 🙂

Absolutely beautiful and magical place! We wish we could have stayed for more than one night. I highly recommend it.

I loved staying in th cabin. It was such a beautiful experience. The owners were so attentive. It's dog friendly. We saw lots of banana slugs. They were super cute. The shower was hot and the fire in the cabin was easy to start. I definitely recommend going.

Weekend Trip to Dark Fairy Farms

I had a wonderful stay at Liam and Sara’s peaceful mountain retreat in Humboldt County. The cabin is surrounded by miles of trails, wildlife, and the calming sounds of Salmon Creek—complete with a perfect little swimming hole. Their dog Stanley was a sweet and playful companion for my pup, and Liam went above and beyond to help transport luggage up/down the steep drive (a big help since I don't have 4WD). The cabin itself was clean, comfortable, and fully stocked with everything we needed. It's remote—about 20 minutes off Hwy 101—but the serenity and connection to nature make it more than worth the drive. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unplug and recharge in the redwoods.

Weekend Trip to Bayside Cabin

An amazing hipcamp for a more outdoorsy experience yet close to town. The location was easy to find, comfortable, cute place and with all the amenities needed. We loved that we were allowed to let our dogs off leash and their resident dogs are friendly. They also have basic utensils but don't forget to bring your own sheets, pillows and blanket. I would recommend this stay to anyone and would come again!

Great place! Very beautifully built and has all the amenities you would need. Thank you for having us stay!

It was exactly what we needed, absolutely loved the window view, and enjoyed the hot stove to keep us warm and cozy. We read books, played board games, and our two dogs were so relaxed so that’s a double win! This place is somewhat secluded, and minutes away from towns which is awesome. Ted and Emily were amazing hosts! Highly recommend!

another incredible stay here. stanley the host pup was happy to greet me right away. sara was very welcoming again as well, and offered me a reiki session for an extra charge. it was incredible. highly recommend if you are open to that kind of thing. i really enjoy the cabin in this weather. it was not really rainy, but very moody and foggy. i was cozy and wish i could have stayed longer.

This cabin was so perfect! Very cozy fireplace and overall a really beautiful spot that is close to great restaurants but feels private and rustic. I would absolutely stay here again!
