Mature trees that line my property provide nice shade in the spring and summer, however, the property is open air. The stars are spectacular. There is no light pollution. (once it is dark, you can't see your hand in front of your face) This is a small town of about 2000 people or so. There are quite a few shops as well as a grocery store, hardware store, a couple auto stores as well as a couple dealerships. There is a drive through coffee shop as well as a couple drug stores available in town. There are 3 to 5 different repair shops around. There is a beautiful golf course, 5-8 minutes away, just around the corner. . I live in a peaceful and extremely tranquil spot here. A good hideaway, if thats what you’re looking for. Hide away and recoup before your next big adventure. There are a few kids around that love to ride their ATVs, bikes, walk, skateboard and skate up and down Conniebrook Lane. We have bike rally's coming through town often, in the summer. Mt. View, AR, the bluegrass music capitol of the world is about 45 minutes away. Beautiful drive, to get there. Scenic overlooks on the way. Wheelchair Accessibility: I am sure any electric wheelchair would have no problem going over the grass area anywhere they wanted to go in the camping area. I hope if there are any issues, it would be brought to my attention and I would make it accommodating, immediately.. I am extremely handy and mechanical.

About 2 miles straight from the Gilbert access, perfectly situated for any river-play for the Middle Section of the River. In Gilbert, you can find “Buffalo Camping and Canoeing Outfitters” for all of your river floating/vessel rentals. Numerous local restaurants: Big Springs Trading, Ferguson’s, CrawBilly’s, or grab some smoked ham/bacon/cheese at Coursey’s. During the season and on weekends, one can usually find live music at some of these venues. No hookup services at this time. WATER ONSITE - -Commercial PORTA-POTTY ONSITE and serviced weekly. The site is very private and peaceful in the river-backwoods, where wildlife abounds. It will be your option whether to keep the gates open or closed during your stay. Please keep in mind the site is just off a county-maintained gravel/dust road. During the dry season, the road dust could affect certain persons with breathing issues. Also, there is, a very high concentration of Ruby-Throated Hummingbirds flying about. About a mile east of the double gates, is beautiful Red Bluff Overlook, Sand Hole river-access, and further down these many dirt-roads that parallel along the river, you can get to the North Maumee access point of the Buffalo National River. Hiking trails are found at Gilbert and Tyler Bend, intersecting with other trails that lead beyond and along the river. Swimming holes can be found at:; Gilbert gravel bar 2.5 miles, Grinder’s Ferry 7.7 miles, Shine Eye 7.8 miles, Tyler Bend 11 miles, Baker Ford 11 miles, and - 4WD or AWD vehicles are HIGHLY recommended to get to the river-swim-float accesses.. Don’t forget your fishing gear for the small-mouth bass at these swimming holes! Please familiarize yourself with fishing laws and fish limits, specifically for the Buffalo River. Branson is 66 miles away, and Springfield, Missouri, is 110 mi in distance. Host is always nearby/onsite. Inverter type generators are acceptable, and please take your trash upon departure. Redbud Cottage is a fully furnished non-smoking cabin, able to sleep six adults and set amid our 160 acre nature preserve near Arkansas' lower Buffalo River. Area attractions are nearby - the Buffalo National River at Buffalo Point and the historic abandoned mining town of Rush. And for those who only wish to relax and recharge surrounded by the natural beauty of our Ozark hills, we offer a spacious screened deck, covered picnic area, outdoor fire pit, and complete privacy. Learn more about this land: The cottage is well furnished, very private, and includes convenient outdoor outlets for overnight electric vehicle charging. We're in close proximity to the Buffalo River at Buffalo Point park and also the historic mining town of Rush, and access to Redbud Cottage is along our private and well-maintained one-mile gravel road. The cottage has two double beds in the lower level bedroom as well as a queen bed in the upper level loft. A futon couch in the living room folds out to a double bed, as needed. The kitchen has plenty of dishes, pots and pans, and cooking utensils of every kind. Both the stove and refrigerator are full size, there is also a microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and the kitchen table seats six. Bed linens, towels, pillows and blankets are supplied. The bath is a tub and shower combination. There is a charcoal grill in the yard, but please bring your own charcoal and lighter fluid. Enjoy our screened deck, covered picnic area, and outdoor fire pit and there is ample level parking for vehicles, canoes, and other outdoor gear. We offer Satellite TV. The cottage is air conditioned for your comfort, and gas heat assures comfort year round.

This was truly the best camping place we’ve ever been to. The views were absolutely stunning, and the campsite itself was perfect for our tent. Robert and Susan went above and beyond to make the experience special. We even got a fun and super interesting coffee lesson (featuring some of the best coffee we’ve ever had), followed by a fresh latte handcrafted by Susan, which was absolutely delicious. Robert even sent my husband back with some of his coffee to share with the guys at the fire station, which meant so much to us. And if that wasn’t enough, they also dropped off homemade sourdough monkey bread, which was nothing short of phenomenal. Robert and Susan are honestly some of the kindest and most thoughtful people we’ve ever met. On top of the amazing views from the campsite, the common area was perfect—especially on the rainy day we had. We were able to relax on the couch with our dogs, stay dry, and still enjoy the beauty of the surroundings. We absolutely loved our time here and will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

This was hands down the best camping ever!! We had such a great time. The creek was beautiful, the campsite so well groomed, and the host was so friendly. We did tent camping and enjoyed the fire pit, there was also a grill for our convenience. I would come back to this campsite or any other with this host again and again! Bonus was finding a cave, exploring the terrain and hearing the coyotes at night. Five stars!!

This was one of my favorite campsites of all time! The view from the bluff just a short walk down the hill is amazing! Great for viewing stars at night, too! It’s also nice to have a good shower and toilet available! The campground was full, but there are not many sites, so being able to use the shower/bathroom wasn’t a huge conflict. Robert was an extra kind host, and he brought freshly roasted (and brewed) coffee every morning to the common area! When we requested firewood through the Hip Camp app, he had it for us at our site very quickly. We were really tired and my husband was kind of feeling sick during our stay, so we did not hike on the trail down into the valley. But, we plan to camp here again and hike the trail! We have a pretty large tent (6 person tent) and we were able to fit it on the camp pad! The fire pit and picnic table were also nice additions to our camp life. We also hung up our hammocks over by the bluff and it was an amazing reading spot with a view! We loved everything! This is a great place to get away from the noise and busyness of modern life, but it still has amazing amenities like coffee, a bathroom, AND WiFi. 😄

We loved camping at Michelle’s land Rocky Creek Campground! The grounds were immaculate and the views were simply spectacular. From the mountains with river view, to the lake view, to the trails. Something for your eyes!!! Michelle and her husband were very nice and welcoming with us. Michelle greeted us at the entry and showed us around. The amenities were great! We camp with a 13ft travel trailer and usually set up our own bathroom/showering tent. However we found the outhouse very charming and fell in love with the outdoor showering rooms! Very quiet and peaceful campsite. Great for star gazing. Campsites are spacious and the lake is something to behold. We cannot wait to book again and spend more time!!!

This place really is a Valley of peace! We enjoyed camping on the creek, fishing, exploring the land and the cave right next to our site! Walter was amazing and checked up on us once a day. We also love the mountainous area and Jasper is a really cute town. We didn't want to leave but will for sure be back to enjoy more of the views!

We stayed here some nights when we first purchased this magnificent property. We fell in love with this view and the almost constant breeze.

We had a wonderful, quiet stay here. Unfortunately, there is a severe drought and the creek wasn’t running but it was so quiet and peaceful that we didn’t even mind. The river is a hop skip and a jump from our camping spot so we ran down to take a look and enjoy the view. Speaking of views, it is worth taking the trails! We would definitely come back and encourage others to enjoy this property as well.

They were super welcoming, beyond thoughtful, and work hard to provide a great experience for their guests. All of the amenities they have set up for guests make for the most convenient, relaxing camp experience. One of the best’s campsites I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying at. We will be back soon!

Loved it there. It was a last minute booking for me, because my other plan didn't work out. But I am so glad I booked this. Best HipCamp I've visited so far. The view was amazing, the coffee was fantastic, the shower was hot, and the flushing toilet was more than appreciated. Robert and Susan were wonderful hosts. They greeted us at arrival, and made us immediately feel welcomed. They guided us right to our spot, and even got us situated with firewood. My daughter and I absolutely loved our weekend together, and did not want to leave. Coming back to the city stinks. I could have just lived right there on that bluff.

Weekend Trip to The Ridge at Buffalo Point

We had so much fun at this cabin! It’s the right size for a weekend getaway with a bed, small Roku TV, microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, grill, and fire pit. The private bathhouse was a short walk from the cabin and was nice after a long day of outdoor activities. The property also offers a disc golf totem, swings, and open area to run around in. The location is also really close to the lower area of the Buffalo River. Easily a 5-10 minute drive to anything. Also, loved having Wild Bills, a gas station and convenience store, a short walk away for anything we forgot or needed. Loved meeting the gray kitty on the property. He was an absolute sweetheart and loved pets. Would definitely stay here again!!
