Welcome to your slice of high desert heaven! Desert Sky Campground is our private piece of Earth nestled in between the south rim of the Grand Canyon/Kaibab National Forest and Flagstaff/Coconino National Forest. Feel free to pick your favorite spot on this nearly 5-acre canvas with a fantastic view of the San Francisco peaks that surround Flagstaff. Want to clear a space for your tent or RV? Go ahead and gently remove any small shrubs. Just remember to leave the bigger plants and trees standing tall. The road leading here might be a bit bumpy, so a 4x4 with good clearance is your best bet. Now, let's talk about the real magic: no frills, just pure, untouched nature. Think of it as your own private BLM land. Please, treat it with respect. Pack out all your trash and minimize your impact. No bathrooms, no water, no electricity – just you, the stars, and the incredible outdoors. After a day of hiking, skiing, or exploring, come back to your campsite and enjoy the breathtaking night sky. It’s the perfect way to unwind and recharge.

Great location near the Grand Canyon! Just an open piece of land for boondocking - there may be other campers present during your stay. The stars and night sky out here are amazing and completely worth the trip. **Please use the coordinates. The property is 40 minutes north of Williams. If your GPS takes you into Williams that is the wrong location. IMPORTANT NOTE: The last one mile to the location is a bumpy dirt road. Imagine the worst road you’ve been on - this is slightly better and if this is the worst you’ve been on .. well then live a little. In the past, some people complained about the dirt road not being in good shape due to rains. Please know that we are not responsible for or even aware of the road conditions to the property. Unfortunately, the county has done no maintenance since the early 1990s and has no plans to. The quotes we have received to fix just the worst parts have been between $35,000 and $50,000. Lastly, check the signs on the way in the area about fire danger and whether you are able to have a campfire or not. If you are allowed, please make sure to fully extinguish it. We are working on bringing services and upgrades to the property. All money being earned will go towards this effort.

Enjoy campfires, mountain views and nature on this one acre property with easy access less than a mile from Highway 64. This campsite is 3.7 miles from Grand Canyon Junction for food, gas, water, and supplies, and 30 miles to Grand Canyon National Park. There are two sites with fire pits and campfires are allowed but may be restricted during certain times when warm temperatures and high winds are forecasted. Please bring a shovel to clear the fire pit out if there is sand or leftover wood in it. Other things to note: From Highway 64, travel 0.85 miles east on Pine Rd to reach the property. The dirt road has some bumps but is accessible with a 2WD car when the road is dry but 4WD is recommended when there is snow or rain. Also, since you will be traveling on an unmarked dirt road, it is advised to reach the campsite before dark so it easier to locate. There are no toilets or water so campers will need to bring their own accommodations. Pack in and pack out policy applies. Please check if there are any fire restrictions at the time of your visit and always adhere to state and local fire restrictions. Things to do and amenities nearby: -Grand Canyon National Park 33 miles away -Grand Canyon Junction for showers, food, gas, supplies 3 miles away -Kaibab National Forest 27 miles away -Sunset Crate Volcano National Monument 37 miles away -Flagstaff, AZ is 50 miles away
