We absolutely loved our stay at Sherry’s! They had the gate open and greeted us as soon as we arrived. The place was perfect for our needs! We were visiting friends for a couple of days and this place was only 7 minutes away. The lot is level it might take a minute to get backed in if you are inexperienced. I was able to back my 38ft diesel pusher in on the first try! The owners are right next door if you have any questions or they will leave you alone if you wish. Full hookups are a plus. 50/30 amp service. Walking distance from downtown. We would definitely stay there again.

Amazing hosts, so friendly. The space is close to restaurants and shopping and was nice and quiet. Power, water and sewer were easy to access. We look forward to staying again!

Lovely gracious hosts and a perfect location in Gilbert ! The neighborhood was safe, friendly, and quiet. The trains were not a bother and hardly heard them. The hosts are friendly, welcoming, helpful, and responsive. My dogs loved having the yard to hang out in secured all around and that was a huge plus for us. We would definitely stay again !

From the great initial contact from Sherry with clear instructions on how to get to, and back into, the site to the warm and friendly welcome on our arrival we had a fantastic one night stay in Downtown Gilbert. Don't worry if you're not used to backing in as Sherry's husband is on hand to help. They also warned about potential train noise which to be honest did not disturb us at all. Located very close to the historic area of Gilbert and to the local restaurants this is a brilliant location for a stay in Gilbert, especially if you're looking for a first night or more stay after picking up your RV rental.

The place was awesome! Don’t come in a Sudan though. The “road” up that mountain was very off road to say the least. There is mountain lions in the area, so it is definitely a good idea to bring bear spray or some other form of protection.

Great hipcamp with full hook ups just down the street from the Gilbert "avenue" of shops, restaurants & walking/biking paths. Gravel pad was level and long for easy maneuvering into place. The ramp from the street onto the pad was a little narrow and close to the rear fence line but our dually fit fine. Fenced in backyard was great for the dog and laundry inside the covered porch was easily accessible. Wifi worked well and was consistently reliable for work from home/video calls. We supplemented with Starlink and it worked well with no obstructions. Owners were helpful, accommodating and afforded us sufficient privacy given the close proximity to their home. Train crossing was pretty close and we heard the whistle roughly 4-5 times a day, occasionally at night, but overall no big deal.

Great camping spot. The view is absolutely stunning. It felt like waking up inside a painting. Reaching the site is challenging, with difficult terrain and tricky trail, but it is worth it.

The site is so cute! There are twinkle lights on the side of the house, a little fire pit, and some other cute touches. The pad had ample space for our 23’ travel trailer and SUV, and the FHU was much appreciated. The dogs were grateful to have some space to run around after many days on leashes, and they found the chickens fascinating. 😁
The train is definitely loud, so if you’re a super light sleeper or have children who are, that may be a deterrent. For us, it was no big deal; the one time it passed when we were asleep, we just rolled over and went back to sleep. We would definitely stay here again!

We were there for a wedding and were busy with everything so we didn’t get to spend any time in Gilbert, but our stay with Adam and Justine was fantastic. We have three dogs, and one that is obsessed with chickens. Adam and Justine have chickens so she was immediately in heaven. The RV site is level and enclosed and very safe and comfortable. Full hookups with 50 and 30 amps. Whenever we travel to that area, that’s where we’ll be staying. Safe, comfortable and accommodating.

Loved the easy access to Gilbert and Phoenix area. Level pad hosts and chickens were friendly. Since our pup does not chase chickens it was great to have him able to be off leash in a fenced yard.

We are full time RVers in a 40' Class A - and we loathe standard RV parks. So, when it comes to staying in Phoenix during the high winter season, this HipCamp spot was a great find. Our host was away during our stay, and so as a result, we shared this completely fenced backyard with just 5 chickens - which our cat found very entertaining. There was even grass, which we don't see often in this part of the country. There's a laundry room, a propane fire pit with chairs set up, and the host has a surge protector in place as well as a 50-30 amp dogbone, if you need it. It was a short walk to town for awesome restaurants and shops, with great biking/running trails nearby.
We did a somewhat interesting 5 or 7 point K-turn to get ourselves into the site, but once inside the gates, we had plenty of room - just make sure you have a good spotter to guide you. Smaller RV's should have no issue. Our toad stayed outside the gates, making it easy to run errands.
The only thing we'd warn folks about would be a train that runs by about 5 times a day, 2 of those being during the night. But - if you are an experienced RVer, then you know that 90% of the time, your campground is near a train line, an airport, an interstate, or all three. We heard the train, and then went right back to sleep.
Honestly, we felt like this was a little oasis, and we would definitely stay again.
