Southward Farms

1 site · RV100 acres · Concho, AZ
Southward Farm is a 100-acre farm and ranch property in Old Concho, situated in the high desert of eastern Arizona. We purchased the farm in 2021 and are working to reestablish the orchards and grazing lands surrounding the farm house. We are growing our flocks of chickens and ducks and hope to add cows and goats in the near future. The property is bordered by a ridge of hills from which you can get a good view of the valley. The town itself is sparsely populated, with shopping available in St. Johns, 15 miles to the east; Snowflake, 28 miles west; and Show Low, 25 mile southwest. Petrified Forest National Park is a short 30 minute drive to the northwest, beyond that lie the towns of Holbrook and Winslow, situated on historic Route 66. Nearby are reservations of the Navajo, Apache, Zuni, and Hopi nations. Gallup, New Mexico lies about 2 hours to the northeast.

1.3 Acres of Peace & Scenery.

2 sites · RVs1 acres · Concho, AZ
Learn more about this land: Dry Camp on my 1.3 acre property (Surveyed) to ensure you are camping in the correct area. Enjoy my favorite camping spot before my future tiny home build. (Pack in pack out) Bring the family or friends outdoors for star gazing, shooting, hunting, and fishing in the area. There are two small designated areas for tents or Rvs both with fire pits. Noticeable ground lights and small (rock) driveway so you can’t miss it. Address not available just yet, but I do have step by step directions if you have any troubles. Located 30 Minutes Northeast of Show low, Az in Concho. You may be greeted by the neighbors ranch dogs upon arrival which also means you’re right around the corner. Turn off is @ Concho Elementary school. Which you will follow until the pavement ends. High clearance vehicle, 4x4 Truck or AWD recommend if snow or rain is present. At only 16 miles away and an elevation of 6,000 feet, Lyman Lake State Park is one of the best ways to beat the Arizona heat with summer days hovering in the 80’s and 1,500 acres of water to jump into. The behemoth lake can be experienced along shoreline trails where petroglyphs grace the rocks and jackrabbits scurry through the wildflowers. But let’s be real, you came to get wet! There’s plenty of splish splashing to be had; jet skis, speed boats, canoes, and kayakers all share these waters. There’s no better way to take to the lake than skimming the surface on an innertube. Anglers can enjoy the quiet west end of Lyman, word is the walleye and bass hang here in the no wake zone.  Pets are allowed. Please make sure you pick up after them.

Front Row Seat! Petrified Forest!

2 sites · RVs10 acres · Sun Valley, AZ
Learn more about this land:This raw land property, right at the edge of the Petrified Forest National Park, gives you amazing views of and walking access into the park (with an already purchased entrance pass) to the ancient Puerco Pueblo and the stunning views of Newspaper Rock. Cell reception in the area is decent. I had access to TMobile data from the property the last time I was there though not all areas of the park have the same luxury. City folk (like it seems I have sadly become these days) often forget what a beautiful starry night sky can look like. One clear night here and you'll see a sky full of stars, the milky way, planets and maybe a shooting star. As a International Dark Sky Park, the parks nightscape falls on the Bortel scale of 3 (1 being darkest and 9 being brightest). For more info go to www.nps.gov/pefo/learn/nature/darkskies Outside of the Petrified Forest National Park in Holbrook, we recommend visiting Jim Gray's Petrified Wood Co. and the Navajo County Historical Society Museum. Nearest gas can be found at the Painted Desert Visitor Center or west down I-40 toward Holbrook at the Hopi Travel Plaza. In Holbrook, groceries can be found at Safeway and local restaurants include Camaleon Cafe, Butterfield Stage Co. Steak House and Mandarin Beauty and host of other Mexican and American restaurants. Trucks do come down Adamana Rd to the storage facility during the week though you probably won't hear or see them much. The train can be a bit loud and obnoxious for some (or a something exciting for the kids) depending on how frequently it passes through so ear plugs at night may be advised. I'm usually pretty accessible and close to my phone so feel free to message me with any questions you may have, before during or after your trip! ***Please read all rules and descriptions in the listing thoroughly before booking to make sure this listing is a good fit!*** We look forward to having you!
