This place was pure Alaska magic. Absolutely breathtaking, peaceful, and so incredibly relaxing. Sitting by the fire beside the water, surrounded by nothing but beautiful wilderness and the sounds of nature, felt like a dream. We saw moose, ducks, and eagles right from camp, which made the experience even more unforgettable.

This is such a cool property! The cabin was cozy and warm on some very cold nights. It’s a short walk from parking and to the lake super convenient location to truly experience this part of Alaska, hole still being a short drive (across a frozen lake!) from the small town of Big Lake and about 30 min from Wasilla for restaurants, groceries, and some incredible local breweries and pizza! Amelya and her family are super welcoming and have carved out an incredible place here. While it is hard off the grid, they’ve maintained a very homey, familial feeling that’s something you can’t just manufacture. The scenery is beautiful and the Northern Lights made an appearance. Amelya and her husband Wyatt (and even their two cool sons) were super responsive and just a short walk away, willing to help out with any needs during the stay and great suggestions for activities and food. We were even included in a NYE celebration bonfire on the lake! Can’t wait to return to Alaska and will definitely be staying here if available!!!

The property is beautiful! It's convenient location and attention to detail makes this place a great stay. Jessica is super kind and has amazing attention to detail with the decor, beauty, and great flow of the property she designed for guests! We were able to take our dog there with lots of space to enjoy walks in a gorgeous woods setting right on the lake! The amenities are off the charts, the sites are spacious and private and we really enjoyed our short stay! We checked in late and left early and it was easy to use the app. She even has a la carte options like a propane fireplace, sauna, hot tub and kayaks available to all guests....absolutely incredible, highly recommend and we will stay again!

We did a hot tub and a sauna add on - both were great, but I would especially recommend the hot tub! We also enjoyed kayaking on the lake!
