We are a small Homestead in Parrish, Alabama. We have lots of silkie and large chickens as well as 8 nigerian dawrf goats and two adorable mini cows. All of the animals are friendly and enjoy being pet. We have a large fire pit in the back property for campfires and fun as well as a composting outhouse for guest use. 300 acres of family land since 2000. This area was called Boot's Bottoms growing up and the name stuck. There is a rock wall close to the campsite that was a old grist mill site. Plenty of wildlife, bird watching, wildflowers and creek walking. Some old ATV trails for hiking as well. Very remote and quite!

Rock dam in creek is great to entertain kids, old grist mill site couple hundred yards downstream. Logging and ATV present for hiking and wildlife viewing. Deeper sections in creek present for cooling off in warm weather.

I don't usually select RV parks on Hipcamp but there were few options in the area and this one looked pretty good and I needed electric hookup due to the cold weather. This turned out to be a good spot. There was only one other camper there so I was very quiet. Clubhouse and bathrooms are a nice plus. The bathrooms were heated and spotless.

I really enjoyed this campsite. The drive in was very straightforward (especially if you watch the YouTube video). The creek was low since we haven't had any rain lately. It was extremely private- some occasional far off car noise and dogs barking but otherwise a wonderful spot in the woods. Plenty of room for multiple tents or vehicles. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Chris’s land was very secluded but easily accessible. We really enjoyed our two night stay. Very close to Dismal Canyons and a few miles from town in case you need anything. I would suggest taking water for drinking/cleaning up. I would definitely recommend and I am planning another trip soon.

One of the best campsites my husband and I have stayed at for sure! Absolutely beautiful and private, and we’d defiantly stay there again. We did get flooded out though so if you are staying during the rainy season I’d keep an eye on the creek but other than that it was the perfect site.

Tent camping at Crystal’s beautiful little farm was just right for me as a woman traveling alone. The camping area was very private and at the back of the property but felt safe and secure because Crystal and her charming husband live at the front of the property and anyone coming in has to pass right close to their house. Mr Crystal patiently guided me to a trail for hiking behind the property and I had a short hike through some stunningly beautiful woods and meadows before sundown. Sunset was gorgeous. I could see it through the trees from my tent. Kids will definitely enjoy the friendly and adorable animals.

Chris is an excellent host, great communication, friendly, and dedicated to making your stay enjoyable. We primitive camped on the side of a vally that was beautiful. It had a nice clean stream for water, a level area for our tent, a fire pit, and the mountain laurel was in bloom. We saw deer and there are even glow worms on the property, close to tent site two where we stayed. The trails and sites were marked well. A big thank you to Chris and his family for an enjoyable camp. God bless.

We had a great stay and the owner’s hospitality was great. The sight was big and easy to get in and out of. This campground was in an easy accessible place out in the countryside. The bath rooms and laundry room were clean and beautifully decorated very impressive

14 ft travel trailer
I didn't have a chance to completely explore Bates Farm, but what a nice spot with flush toilets, showers, laundry on site, and lots of campsites to choose from. They are really nice and accommodating, and have lots of kid friendly experiences available.
Definitely on my 'repeatable stay' list!
