Campsite is located at the base of York Mountain. Learn more about this land: Pitch your tent, hang you hammock, or park your camper and enjoy the great outdoors. There are a couple of level spots for your tents, as well as a nice rock fire pit for you to use and there is an outhouse on the site. The pond hasn't yet been stocked with fish, but hopefully soon it will have more than just frogs. But for now the frogs provide great music. This is a rustic campsite, with rocks, roots, and steep terrain. Please bring your own camping gear, including chairs, and please take your trash with you. There is plenty of privacy, even though you are right near a public road that has very little traffic. There are no other campsites nearby and the owner lives 1/2 mile away. Polk, once lived - Peekaboo Meadows & The Big Red Barn are waiting to welcome you! Pull in, drive down the grass road and over the small creek, put it in park at the barn and go stretch your legs on the 4o+ acres surrounding. During the day, feel welcome to walk the serene meadows or take a cleared trail up the ridge to the treehouse! Don't be surprised to be greeted by all kinds of wildlife including deer, turkey, foxes, or our goofy, fun-loving Golden Doodle named "Shme." If walking isn't your thing, you are welcome to drive around (4wd recommended) to go scout out where you'd like to set up camp for the night. If you prefer more peace and privacy, there are two beautiful meadows to choose from which both reach deeper into the property. If you'd prefer the comfort of additional shelter, you are welcome to park and/or set yourself up at the barn instead (which is a little closer to the main road). There is power to the barn - providing light, 30AMP power for RV hookup, as well as an electrical receptacle that you can run your extension chords from. For the extra adventurous - you may want to take a hike up "Thornbush Trail," which follows the ridge right up the middle of the property and has beautiful views of both meadows to either side. Or, for a more direct route, take a walk right up our dirt access road to the upper ridge, where you can peek through the treeline for beautiful elevated views eastward toward Columbia. Our treehouse (in progress) is located right at the top of the access road. Though the treehouse has not yet been completed, feel free to climb the 20' ladder up the inside of the hollowed out trunk and pop your head out the top! It sure makes a great photo! Come back to the barn area in the evening to lounge in the hammock, hang out around the picnic table, or cook dinner and roast some marshmallows over the wood burning fire pit with cooking grill attachment (fireside tools & 1 bundle of firewood provided). One filtered and cooled 5 gallon portable Igloo water cooler will also be provided and placed on the picnic table outside the barn. One rolling 96 gallon covered trash bin will be placed inside the barn (please bag your trash). "Luggable Loo" portable compost toilet is also available for use inside the barn. Tho cell & wifi are spotty here on the farm, we will provide one walkie talkie during your stay for direct communication with the main residence, should there be any issues or needs that arise. On the flip side, privacy is respected and use of the electronics is completely at your discretion! For recreation (each within 15-20 minutes of the farm):   1. a–12 Clean and quiet campground. Nice amenities. We would love to come back in the warmer months to use the swimming hole. Kids loved the playground. I never could get the Wi-Fi to have a good signal, but that is the only issue we had during our stay. Anytime I reached out to staff they answered the phone and were accommodating and friendly. We enjoyed our stay and will be back.

Very peaceful, woodsy environment. Many campsites but the hillside build made it feel private. 9/10 level, we don’t have leveling jacks. Excellent fire pit with grill attached. Super strong water pressure. Conveniently placed hookups. Highly recommend

After our first travel day filled with delays, we didn't arrive to Peaceful Acres until after 11pm. Exhausted, we discovered that we forgot our 50 to 30 amp converter! I was filled with dread that we would not have AC or electricity. It was terribly hot with daytime temps hovering around 100 degrees! Even though it was very late, Nita answered the phone when Tom called. She brought a converter to us and saved the day (or at least the rest of our night)! We woke up the next morning to Nita's beautiful farm! Thank you, Nita, for being a wonderful host! We highly recommend Peaceful Acres and hope to spend more time there on our next trip!

This hidden gem RV park was a beautiful place to stay for the week! Unfortunately during our stay they didn’t have the facilities ready to go yet but if you are good with the full hookups on your RV then you can do well here. The camp is just off of Linestone Creek and we found a great spot to swim & play during our stay. The owners are very nice and willing to help! We enjoyed our time here!

We camped in a pop up camper with our pup. The site was level and perfect to just pull in and hook up. The park is very quiet and there is plenty of space between sites. I will be happy to visit again when they have all of the amenities available.

large pull thru spots (1-4) with 50amp svc, water and sewer hook-ups. Very quiet. No internet for the RV spots, but Nita gave us the password for a nearby cabin and that worked well. Sites 3 & 4 are well shaded, 2 slightly and 1 is open to the sky (important if it's 90 degrees like it was during our August stay). Don't book site 6 (it's a back in and leveling efforts are eroded); site 5 is a perma site with a horse trailer in it. We'll be back!

The hostess was welcoming and has set up a nice little spot out behind where she lives. There are several "cabins" and some sites are pull through. Not a lot of shade. Nice views of the pasture with horses and a cute donkey.

We loved camping here! Its very peaceful, sites are spacious, and easy to get to. It has nice big shade trees. Its a great place to rest and unwind. Loved the farm animals. We will definitely be staying here in the future. Nita is great!

Beautiful property and what an amazing stay! Farm animals were great to wake up to every morning and our dog loved it. First time for her even being around farm animals and it was a great introduction. Peaceful property and the owner was great! Can't say enough great things about this location!
