The property features a 1 1/2 acre pond stocked with catfish and bream and has a nice little dock with a table and chairs to sit and enjoy the water.
There are animals! I have a beloved Scottish Highland cow named Genia and she is joined with two mini bulls and two mini cows. Various numbers of Nigerian Dwarf goats join them in the pasture. There are also a few chickens.
Small garden beds and a fruit orchard are on the property and I usually have at least a half dozen projects of one sort or another going on.
Several acres are wooded and there is ample space for a nature trail that I try to keep maintained. Several of the usual types wildlife can be seen.
Are you an artist or a writer? This is a great place for comtemplation and inspiration. I myself have 40 years experience as an art teacher and professor. If you would like to have a mini workshop, let me help.

Awesome new campsite! The hosts are lovely. They met us and let us pick wherever we’d like to go, plus goody bags and some wood! The hook ups are great, amazing view from the ridge off to the north east. Clear skies and bright stars. No blinding camp lights which is amazing! Most campsites have huge pillars that blast light into your tents, but this one was really serene. New bathrooms and showers, and only a couple minutes down the street from Cherokee Rock Village for climbing (no power there). Excited to have a good spot to base camp at for long climbing weekends!

This is our 2nd time camping here and it was just as perfect as the first time. We got to meet the hosts this time and they were wonderful and gave us fresh blueberries from their own blueberry bushes. :) we love this spot because are dogs can be (mostly) free to hang out and swim. My wife and I were returning from a long trip to west Texas and stopped for a good rest at Emily's land- absolutely beautiful, peaceful spot with lots of solitude. Basically simply a large field with trees and a pond- perfect for us. Emily was delightful providing prompt and easy directions. Would love to come back again and spend some more time rather than just pass through!

This is a great spot for a private camping weekend. We have a reactive dog and really wanted to be able to take him camping for a weekend where he could enjoy the water and this was the perfect spot for that. We didn’t see a single other person except a few neighbors driving in and out. It was very quiet and peaceful. The spot is very flat to park on and has a great view of the lake. We really enjoyed our time here and would come back. The only downside is the ants, which the host was very forthcoming about ahead of time so this is really more of a “come prepared / nice to know” than a con for this site. The host was also very communicative before and during our stay!

We planned a few days here for our anniversary. This resort is absolutely gorgeous! Manicured grounds and top notch facilities! Brittany was awesome and the other staff took pride in their work. It was obvious everyone loved working here! The general store was quaint and had all the necessities! We will absolutely be back often!
