Convenient stop for the night or a few days for RV’s or Tent campers and a good place to get a hot shower -  only a easy mile a half from I-20 exit 173 ( Eastaboga - Talladega Superspeedway Exit ) also a good base camp to see Cheaha State Park - bike at Coldwater Mountain- see the Talladega Superspeedway , Combat Park Flea Market , Oxford ballgames or other area Activities - I reserve one RV site and two tent sites for hipcamp and rent the other five RV sites at the top of hill on a monthly basis - these hipcamp sites are wooded, shady with woods between the other sites to give some privacy while still not far from the unique showers made from the old chicken house feed bins -these  showers are very functional and I have been complimented that they are the best showers on the east coast

Bohamia has an upscale bathhouse with private, hot showers and individual toilet rooms with floor-to-ceiling doors. The bathhouse is within 100 yards of all glamps and RV sites.  We also have portalets stationed in the RV/Safari Tent area, at The Barn, and at the pond (0.4 miles from welcome center.)

Premium RV spots now available with 30 or 50 amp hookups and water. We do not have sewer hookups or a waste station.

Glamp, RV or camp amidst the natural beauty of our 268 acre property; we have open fields, shady spots beneath the hardwoods and pines, and even a five acre pond with plenty of fish if you’d prefer to wake up to a water view or take a morning swim.

With miles of trails on our property, easy access to the 392,000 acre Talladega National Forest, and less than ten miles from the Pinhoti trail, you’ll never run out of beautiful places to explore.  Be sure to save some time to enjoy the boulder strewn creek just a short walk from our welcome center - it’s a must see!

Other local attractions are also within reach with the Top Trails ATV park and the Talladega Marksmanship Park only seven miles away.

Hidden Branch Campground

Nestled in rural Clay County, Alabama, Hidden Branch Campground offers a serene retreat for nature lovers and outdoor adventurers seeking to escape the urban hustle. Strattonooga

Lovely, forested, water front, 1/2 acre lot located on the best cove Lake Weiss has to offer. Water, sewer, and electric hookup for RV.  Drive through access for campers. Private dock!

Lots of fun just minutes away:
Terrapin creek, DeSoto State Park, Little River Canyon, Pirates Bay Water Park all close by. Decks and docks restaurant is a short 2 minute drive or boat ride away. Cherokee Rock Village is a short 25 minute drive away.

Weaving Woods Farm

The property features a 1 1/2 acre pond stocked with catfish and bream and has a nice little dock with a table and chairs to sit and enjoy the water.  

There are animals!  I have a beloved Scottish Highland cow named Genia and she is joined with two mini bulls and two mini cows.  Various numbers of Nigerian Dwarf goats join them in the pasture.  There are also a few chickens.

Small garden beds and a fruit orchard are on the property and I usually have at least a half dozen projects of one sort or another going on.  

Several acres are wooded and there is ample space for a nature trail that I try to keep maintained.  Several of the usual types wildlife can be seen.  

Are you an artist or a writer?  This is a great place for comtemplation and inspiration.  I myself have 40 years experience as an art teacher and professor.  If you would like to have a mini workshop, let me help.

Water is available not far from the campsites.  There is also a portable pop up potty/shower tent (with bucket and seat) available.

Your Tallapoosa River Hideaway!

The Tallapoosa River Hideaway is a private campsite rental located directly on the Tallapoosa River. Guests can swim, fish, and explore the surrounding area. The property features a newly built deck and pavilion overlooking the river, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the scenery. The Tallapoosa River Hideaway is ideal for families with children, as the water depth is suitable for wading and swimming.

The Tallapoosa River Hideaway is a campsite nestled amidst 150-year-old oak trees on the banks of the Tallapoosa River. Guests can relax on the deck, roast marshmallows over the fire pit, or explore the river by kayak.

Dark Hollow

Dark Hollow Park provides beautiful, private, and secure primative campsites. Potable water and a composting privey are available. The camp host is on site if there are any questions. There is a one-mile hiking trail, a small stream and waterfalls located a short hike down into Dark Hollow. The Hollow is rich in history. There is a small Amphitheater in the bottom of the hollow where permanent water remains year-round. Dark Hollow has played many roles from sanctuary to battleground over the years. There are numerous activities within a short distance.

Babs Farm

Great location to rest while traveling via I-20 (10 min off I-20), 1HR from ATL and 1.5 hrs from Birminigham. 6 acres of pasture for riding bike, dry camping, pick blackberries, or come say hi to the Goats. Villa Rica - 10 min for shopping, food and brewery. 

Unassigned sites, so no fire rings and camp where you please in the designated area. Fires are permitted to burn at your site, just follow local fire bans and typical safety measures.  Fire wood available for purchase, or down sticks & branches free to gather to burn. 

Coldwater Camp & Cabins

Coldwater Camp and Cabins in Anniston, AL is located directly on the Coldwater Mountain Bike trail system. Open in 2023, “The Camp” is a unique family-owned campground with several lodging options, including:

• 2 cabins/chalets

• 7 RV/van 30 amp hook ups

• 2 RV/van 50 amp hook ups

• 4 elevated tent deck sites

Two more cabins are under construction and expected to be ready by 2026. 

Campers that stay here can park, set up camp, and hop on Hare Trail via direct trail access just a few feet from your site. With 60 miles of single track for runners, hikers, and cyclists ranging from beginner to advanced, we think you’ll love it here.

Graveyard Homestead

1.3 acre property hidden in small town Glencoe, AL. Beautiful tall pines enclose this beautiful site in front of an old public cemetery plot that's rarely visited but has a pathway through the woods for exploring, a circle path we named Panther Path will lead you right back to camp. (The name Panther Path has a story. Basically keep an eye out for black panthers in these parts.) Our family and farm animals live on the property as well (Don't mind the rooster in the AM) but there's plenty of room to pitch a tent, bring your small camper or smaller skoolie (If rig is over 25 feet please message me after booking and we can figure out how to accommodate your rig best before arrival.) There is plenty of room for a couple tents as well if you are traveling as a group, amenities include: a brick fire circle, wood garden set for sitting with small table and some privacy from our family but a lot of privacy from the outside world, the graveyards are free to explore, but if you go in the gated one we ask that you relatch the gate. 

Firewood can be ready at your campsite for an additional cost. We have seasonal events as well as a farm stand, a bus shop, and a greenhouse. (These are still projects in progress.)

We have two dogs, Boogie - a male and a very large dog, LGD - Livestock Guardian Dog, her name is Maple. Both dogs are very nice and kind. Maple's job is to protect our ducks and chickens from predators. She will bark but she will not hurt you. She will especially love you if you have treats or say 'Hello, Maple!" We will try to have her put away before bookings if enough notice is given. She will not hurt a human, she knows her job and duty on our homestead but she can be nosy as she runs the perimeter of our property often.  If you have a fear of dogs or would like to make sure she is put up just send me a message beforehand and I will make sure she is put away secure. She also will not mind other dogs but please make sure if you bring a pet it is kind to other animals and we expect all pets are leashed at all times unless inside your rig.

Tent site, plenty of room for a bathroom tent the the left and space for a larger tent and plenty of trees around to bring your own hammocks. 

Fire pit and benches for campsite, wood provided for an extra cost. Feel free to use any twigs, sticks, wood laying around campsite to start fires.

Parking space to the right in between fire pit and tent site. Continuing to the left on foot will take you to the cemetery and around Panther Path.

Entrance - Graveyard Homestead, the address to our lot is 615, which GPS may lead you to our main driveway, continue to the next drive, this sign.

Parksland Retreat is a 40 acre forest and nature retreat with off grid facilities and homestead all surrounded by the Talladega National Forest. Parksland is in the heart of Talladega National Forest. Come for a hike on the trails on property, nearby Pinhoti trail or swim in the beautiful creek.
