Homosassa is an old Florida fishing town that is a hidden gem along the gulf coast, this site is nestled quietly at the head of the river on our shared residential property. This location is close to the head springs and Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park where you can discover the wild side of Florida with endangered Florida panther, red wolf, manatee and whooping crane, plus black bear, bobcat and, of course, alligator. The site is located 150 ft from the dock on our private residential property at the head of the springs, the dock is not visible from the site you do have to walk down to the dock area. This is a residential area and is very quiet. You can see the layout of the property in the photos from an aerial view as well as other photos of the setup. This listing is for the SITE ONLY. Setup your own RV under the shade then enjoy our shared dock into the Homosassa springs for a refreshing dip or paddle. We provide full hookups (water, sewer, 50amp electric) for your RV as well as WIFI service and access to the docks for your boat or swimming. We have kayaks and paddleboards INCLUDED with our site or bring your own to paddle the springs and take a chance at seeing a manatee up close and personal or catching some fish. We love to share our space with like minded outdoorsy people who respect nature and like to relax in the outdoors. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and had a relaxing weekend. The highlight for us was definitely the dock area — we loved being able to sit, relax, swim, and take our kayaks out on the water. The location was peaceful and made for a fun outdoor getaway. The only thing we were a little surprised by was that the campsite felt less private than we expected based on the listing. Aside from that, we still had a great time and appreciated the opportunity to enjoy the water and surrounding area. Tip: if you are grilling or just enjoying sitting at the site, be sure to wear plenty of bug repellent and have Thermo Cell on. The mosquitoes there are vicious.

Magical, serene, nature setting. This was such a special place…you want to protect it from change. We could have stayed here for days kayaking and relaxing on the dock. Fish doing acrobatics at dawn and sunset, kept us mesmerized. Many thanks to our hosts for sharing their paradise.

This is truly a perfect campsite! Location is amazing with easy access to the river. Alonda is a wonderful host and is quick to respond to any inquiries via the hipcamp app. Every time my family stays at this campsite, it feels like home away from home. We will definitely be back again soon!

Homosassa Springs RV site is a nice quiet place to spend a night. Even though it is just off of a road it was pretty quiet overnight and had well positioned landscape that gave it the feeling of privacy. A great place to spend the night if you are in the area.

Louise and Michelle are super nice! We really enjoyed our stay. It’s so clean, the site area is spacious and cute. They have many different types of chickens and their goats are adorable too! Very convenient automatic gate to leave and return too. Thank you :)

Cozy little rv spot. Being able to fish was nice (kind of hard to cast under the lights). Nice fire pit, ended up buying one for ourselves afterwards! Watch out for fire ants around the fire area though!

Very nice setup. Close to the springs, restaurants and shopping if needed. Dock area is very nice. Comfy chairs and a table. The water is crystal clear so you can see all of the varieties of fish. Didn’t see any manatees at this spot as the weather is warming up. Kayaks and paddle boards are available and in good shape. The site itself is large with a nice table setup, solo fireplace and hookups. Site is level which is nice. Only met Alonda once as we pulled in but we had no issues so there was no need to bother her. The resident dog Jazzie, was friendly with my dog and she was very sweet. Excellent experience overall.

Loved every thing about this spot- serenity quiet & peaceful neighborhood, only a few steps to great paddling on the springs with a dock for our use, Homosassa River and manatees galore! Easy bike ride to Old Homasassa, close to grocery store, Walmart and great seafood market! Our host, Alonda was accessible and polite!

The, area was very quiet. We really enjoyed it. Felt very much like the Florida that you don’t see when you’re a tourist. Large trees, hanging moss lots of foliage. The lot was level, had everything for hookups. Remember to bring your 50 to 30 amp reducer. The water was clear, we used the kayak and went for a beautiful day on the water.

The hosts created a peaceful HipCamp experience. The site was level and fairly secluded. We had access to the dock where I was able to have my morning coffee and just chill. The site is just minutes away from the State Park with Manatee viewings and a nice walking trail. There are also several bike trails all within 30 minutes (would recommend the Withlacoochee Trail just north of Crystal Springs - paved with areas to stop and picnic).

Great Setting, Full Hookup, Beautiful Dock Area. Host sent very detailed message about the location, rules, & amenities they provided which were greatly appreciated. Location is close to activities & restaurants in Homosassa Springs. Lots of nice details set up at the site like the picnic table, fire pit, lighting, seating on the deck, etc. that made it a very nice stay. Weather got very cold so we were not able to enjoy the dock as much as we would have. Definitely would recommend to others & we would stay here again.

It was great to have a well lighted dock to tie up our boat. The campsite was clean and kept up very well. Alondra’s place is very special indeed. Neighbors were all friendly and helpful. Alonda was available for our questions. I’m grateful Alondra gave us the opportunity to enjoy her very special beautiful piece of heaven on the spectacular Homosassa Springs of Florida.

Great spot for kayaking and enjoying the local nature. Spot was a great fit for our 28ft camper with one slide out. Make sure you have 50amp hook ups as we forgot the 30/50 conversion and had to get it from tractor supply last min but thats my fault. This beautiful space is a diamond for sure. This place will not disappoint.

Very peaceful 🙏 super close to everything loved being able to access the springs right from the dock, wish it was cleaned up a bit more like the plants cut back so we could utilize the dock to swim and hang out but the bugs were a bit much , we were able to doc our boat which was awesome and our paddle boards . Lovely time and we will book again 😊 thank you for sharing your lovely site

We loved camping at Alonda’s campsite. Nice shaded lot with easy access and hookups. There was outside dining and nice packed gravel which kept inside of camper clean. The amenities offered were great. We could use back deck by canal and also use of kayaks were a fun activity. We enjoyed a nice relaxing holiday weekend stay. Definitely would come back and stay again.

Great site great location. Everything was as expected. The area is gorgeous and site was close to everything a person needed to do. I was there in the beginning of May and the deer flies were a pain in the ass but the area made up for the inconvenience

Fabulous weekend! The campsite was clean, level, and quiet. The access to the spring head is perfect and such a nice swimming hole just feet from the dock. We look forward to returning.
