The Love Shack + extras welcome in tents/vans
This is camping with a lot of extras. Water from the tap (even warm), electricity, shower, induction cooking plate, large BBQ, 2 fridges, etc. There were enough plates, cutlery, cups etc. for the 5 of us. Also other kitchen equipment is there, i.e. pots, pans, knifes, electric kettle and so on. We mostly cooked on the fire, though...
The fenced area is large enough for several tents, caravans, with sufficient distance from the campfire and space for our dog to run and play.
It is very private, but with great views over the valley. Lots of birds around, for example a flock of 10 yellow-tailed black cockatoos has visited the pine tree next to the campsite a few times in the few days we stayed there.
We had a great time and would have loved to stay longer. We also enjoyed the Tarra Bulga National Park close by and Yarram provides all the gocery shopping needs for the stay. Also Port Albert is just aroubd 20 minutes drive, a small historic harbour town with a beautiful walk along the mangroves.
We definitely would stay here again, if we are in the region.

This was a very quiet out of the way spot with lovely views over the paddocks to the hills. The Love Shack was used by my son and his wife who has never camped before. Felt it was a good way to ease her into camping. Plenty of room for our caravan and large tent for the rest of our family members. Yarram was a short drive away. Was great to be on short lush grass and no real ant problems. Although in saying this, there was a huge nest on the corner of the verandah of the Love Shack. Great camp kitchen area and table and chairs to use all under cover. Designated outside fire but not used this trip due to the extreme weather. Overall we all thoroughly enjoyed this location and would go back. The hosts introduced themselves and then kept to themselves. Would recommend this location for a family event.

The whole family enjoyed our stay at the love shack, including the dogs 😊
The space was great, fully fenced and private with great views and kept in good condition.
Kate was extremely responsive and helpful with our last minute request.
Sucha great place to take in fresh air and relax.

I absolutely loved staying at the love shack! My parents stayed in the cabin while we camped and we honestly had the best time. Exceptional views. Such a great entertaining area with games. Kate and Glen (hopefully I got this right) were so lovely and welcoming. Will definitely be returning for a round two ❤️

It’s a great set up for dogs and kids. So much space and fresh air! We had a lovely 3 nights with 3 generations and 2 dogs. The love shack and add-on facilities are very rustic, but that is what we were expecting as accurrsye. is reflected by the price. Kate made some great suggestions for activities.

Lovely camping spot with a cosy, well‑set‑up area and peaceful surroundings, but the constant rain during the stay made it hard to fully enjoy everything on offer; would happily return again in better weather.

My partner and I had a wonderful time at the Love Shack, one of those places that makes you want to extend your stay and come again. The scenery was beautiful and the amenities were plenty! We camped on the grass with a tent and it rained our last night but the ground stayed solid and not muddy, helpful for when we were packing up. Will definitely return again hopefully with friends this time!

The love shack is absolutely lovely, with a secluded feel but not far from amenities in town. Stunning morning views from the cabin. Has all the basic amenities for a stay and to cook/BBQ your own meals.

The Love Shack was absolutely exquisite in every way shape and form. Charming, cosy, warm, and delightfully secluded. It was everything we had hoped for and more. The space had an enchanting atmosphere that made it feel both magical and intimate. Kate’s thoughtful touches were evident throughout and genuinely appreciated, adding a layer of care that made the experience feel even more special.
Although we had planned to explore the nearby national park, we found ourselves not wanting to leave the environment at all and just simply soaking up the beautiful energy of the space. It truly was the perfect weekend escape.

Such a beautiful spot! My friend and I had the perfect weekend away, she was very comfortable in the “love shack” and I stayed in my RV out the front. sitting by the fire inside was magical and toasty warm. I happened to meet the lovely hosts as they were heading out and they went out of their way to help me out with an issue I had. I can’t wait to stay again maybe with a big group!

I loved the Love Shack at Tarra Valley! It is super well equipped, very cute and cosy, Kate was an amazing and attentive host. The Tarra River is a must visit, as well as the National Park. I recommend 100% staying at the Love Shack

We loved staying here at the "Love Shack", the location is beautiful and so peaceful.
we had a small group that setup tents in addition to the Shack, brought a couple of kids and dogs and they had an incredible time, the lawn games were a massive hit.
The location also is perfect, close to hiking beaches, main town of Yarram with a beautiful backdrop when at the shack.
the setup is fantastic, bbq each night, then relax by the indoor or outdoor fireplace.
Kate was fantastic and very friendly and helpful when called on. Thank you Kate for a wonderful space and time away from Melbourne.

Amazing would be an understatement to describe Kate’s place. It was everything we wanted and more for our big family. We were able to camp in tents to get the full experience of “camping” but also have access to everyday facilities we needed, such as kitchen, toilet and shower. Kate was super accomodating and made sure we were well equiped throughout our stay. My family and I absolutely loved our stay at Kate’s place and will definitely be back, more than once! Thank you Kate for allowing us to stay in your beautiful Love Shack - it feels like home away from home x

The Love Shack is in a fantastic location very close to both Yarram and Tarra Bulga National Park. The views are spectacular and the hut is very well furnished and stocked with everything we needed (we did have to bring our own linen and towels though). The corona wood heater warms the whole place up very well too.
Outside there is plenty of room for tent camping, there's an outside toilet and camp kitchen as well as a fire pit.
I had a fantastic time staying here with my young family and I would definitely recommend it and would love to stay there again in the future.

We were a group of 2 families with kids ranging from 2-12. We all loved our stay and kids were happy just hanging around the property and enjoying the peace and quiet away from our busy lives.
Kate was a friendly host and very easy to approach if we needed anything.
Would recommend the love shack.

Amazing location, great facilities and friendly host. The Love Shack has everything one needs for a camping getaway for the weekend. Two fridges, one small in the self cotained unit, a larger one outside, sink with fresh water, a covered area for dining a beautiful tree for shade. We loved camping on the grounds and walking around the paddock. Tarra Bulga nature park is a short drive away

I was looking for some RnR away from the hustle and bustle and Kate’s Love Shack really delivered. Absolutely stunning views, peace and quiet away from the road, and so easy to just turn up and have everything there that I needed.
Sitting on the porch with the dog watching the swallows flying by and chatting to the Willy wagtails was bliss.
Loved the proximity to Yarram for quick pick up of provisions and close to fishing and surf beaches. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much Kate for a wonderful stay. It was just what I needed!

The Tara Bulga Views camp site was amazing and had a lot land for kids to play on and to camp on. Plus, the shack was a good area as well which helped make it more luxurious for camping.
