TL;DR: The campsite is GORGEOUS, the kitchen shelter makes everything easier, and the hosts are friendly and accommodating.
I do a big camping trip for my birthday every year in November. This year, we stayed at Secluded Waterfall Haven, and it was also our first time using HipCamp. The campsite and hosts are amazing, and I'm planning on coming back in the summer.
Our group got a late start arriving and leaving, but our host was easy to work with and set everything up so that it was easy to get set up and make everything work.
The site is very well equipped and the kitchen shelter made food preparation spectacularly easy. The bathrooms were way more spacious than I was expecting, and very clean. The waterfalls were my favorite part of the campsite. The entire site was filled with the sound of falling water at all times and it made a lovely backdrop of white noise. It was very relaxing and it made it much easier to sleep without waking up every time somebody snored in the tent next door. The entire area is just too beautiful for words, and we even got to see a couple of shooting stars!
Definitely make sure you stake down your tents in this location. It was quite windy while we were there. When we were setting the tents up, they would occasionally catch the window and billow up for a minute before we could continue setting them up. I'm not sure if that was because of the weather that weekend, or if it's usually a bit more windy up there, but if it's an all the time thing I consider it a HUGE bonus for summer camping. I definitely want to come back!
