New favorite campsite!!! It’s hard to overstate how awesome this spot is – and how amazing it was to have it all to ourselves. After hosts Claude and DeeDee welcomed us and gave us an orientation to the campground, we felt like kids, exploring the almost 5-acre property and splashing around in the water. There’s a narrow, somewhat hidden trail that leads up the mountainside, and following it for a stout 10 to 15 minute hike rewards you with an epic, private waterfall playground. We had a ball climbing around on the giant boulders at the base of the falls.

The facilities exceeded my expectations, and though we were tent camping on this trip, I didn’t miss my Airstream at all. It was really nice to have lights, electrical outlets, clean bathrooms, and an abundance of tables and seating areas to choose from. Didn’t get a chance to use the grill, but appreciate that it was available.

I’m looking forward to another stay at Secluded Waterfall Haven, but next time, we plan on bringing a group of friends. There’s an abundance of space and it seems like the perfect place for a birthday celebration or similar gathering. Nearby Highlands, NC is a super-cute town and worth an excursion - highly recommend Pescado’s for their burritos!

Tent site surrounded by giant, mossy boulders. Checking out the water, and looking to see if there's another eclipse? Pretty awesome to be up there with nobody else around! Showing off some mad balancing skills.

We had a lot of fun camping here. The location is great- not too far from main roads but still quiet and secluded at night. It's a short drive up the mountain to highlands and cashiers where there is a lot of great hiking and fishing. We brought our dog and loved that she could roam around freely. The place is huge with clean bathrooms, running water, and a nice fire pit, cooking area, and picnic area. The owners were very accommodating as far as arrival and departure was concerned too.

Very secluded, so nice and peaceful, right by a waterfall just like advertised :). My Wife and I stayed there and had the whole place to ourselves with no one to bother us. I just wish I would have invited other people to join us, space was no issue here. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to get away or invite friends or family for a chance to step away from the busy life and get some peace and quiet.

This place was awesome! It was completely private. There was lots of places to explore in the area and the waterfalls were amazing! The hosts met us there to give us a quick tour and show us how everything worked. The views were great and sleeping by the waterfalls was a really cool experience. We will definitely be coming back to stay here again!!

We were in absolute heaven. I can't wait to bring a group, the waterfalls were stunning. The leaves were all changing more orange and yellow every day. My kids loved it, my dog loved it. I just want to go back, we've already booked again. All of my expectations were exceeded above and beyond.

Fabulous, peaceful, yet exciting place to call your own. A slice of heaven with your very own Secluded campground with rushing waterfall and total privacy but close enough to venture out to restaurants and other outdoor activities. Of course, if you have a dog that you like to take on trips, he can run free and explore without concern for cars or any campers not part of your group. I have already had two friends ask for referral information after seeing my Facebook posts of our stay. So perfect to tent camp but also have a restroom on site and electricity. They have RV hookup as well. Just do it, you will not regret it. Great hosts, great experience.

It’s a truely amazing campsite. The views are incredible and there is a lot to do there. The only bad thing about this place is having to leave. We will definitely be back.

It is a beautiful place. Hugh boulders, waterfalls and a large noisy stream.
Firewood was provided plus both a picnic shelter and a
Cooking shelter with a Weber grill and large stone
Cooking fireplace.
Complete with restrooms away from the camping area..
We didn't leave the site all weekend .

This is one of the nicest campsites I have visited. We arrived to clear blue skies and the changing fall leaves with the backdrop of beautiful waterfalls. The hike to the larger waterfall is worth the steep, uphill hike. Falling asleep to the sound of rushing water over the waterfall was relaxing and melted all stress away. The pavilion with several large picnic tables was perfect for hanging out on our rainy Saturday. The bathroom was very clean. Site is also in a wonderful location near Clayton, Dillard, Sky Valley and Highlands with an abundance of activities. Cell service (Verizon) was weak but just needed to walk a short distance down the gravel road to obtain a stronger signal if you really needed to. Texts worked fine. We will be returning for another visit.
