Welcoming camp experience in the Las Vegas area. Las Vegas has a lot to offer, but we have you covered with the RV spot.
We are in the NW valley with wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. When the sun goes down over the Spring Mountains and Mount Charleston beautiful colors illuminate evening clouds. We are in somewhat of a rural area, so you might see bats in the evening, and bunnies in the morning. We have even seen coyote, owl, and of course lots of geese flying between golf courses in the morning during many months of the year. We are away from the city lights, so nighttime can be quite dark, but the moon can be a spectacular site in the night sky.
Red Rock Canyon is 16 miles away. Many of our guests enjoy the scenic beauty or climbing opportunities in Red Rock. Nevada's newest state park, Ice Age Fossils State Park, is just a few miles away and offers a glimpse into prehistoric time in the region. If you enjoy ziplining then check out Slotzilla at Fremont Street or on the Las Vegas strip at the LINQ.

Our property sits on 2 acres in the heart of Las Vegas. It is one of the original homesteads of Las Vegas which we are trying to take back to a homestead. The original owners of the property played a huge hand in the building of Vegas. As we have cleaned up the property treasures of a 100 years ago have been found all over the property. On the property you will find a huge garden out front that you are welcome to pick from. We also have over 50 trees on the property you are welcome to walk around and enjoy. If you find yourself in the duck coop or the chicken coop and find an egg you are welcome to enjoy it. Feel free to enjoy the pool, bbq and outside bathroom which has a shower, and full size washer and dryers. We are a smoke/drug free site please be respectful of this rule and violators will be asked to leave without refund. Because we are a "working hobby farm" you will see some weeds and you may even see a project or two we are working on, feel free to join in but please be understanding that in order for us to improve things it will get little messy and can take time to complete. Also, please check the weather before you book, Vegas if very hot during the summer months, if your rig doesn't have AC you will not be comfortable as night temps can be easily over 100.

Wifi is provided complimentary and as a luxury. Wifi is supported by Starlink and works about 85% of the time due to its remote location and weather conditions.

The closest town for gas and food is Pahrump which is about 20 minutes away. Jeffry’s Farm was a very convenient location for our needs. It is under a flight path, but we found this not to be a problem. Evenings were fairly peaceful and we actually enjoyed watching the planes come in during the day. Parking area was fairly flat and easy to get in and out of. We would stay here again if in the area.

Pleasantly surprised by how well organized, secure, and clean this park was. The office staff accepts mail and packages. The entrance is staffed 24/7. Yes, it's asphalt with fairly snug sites but it's an urban park so get used to it. But there are lots of palm trees to green things up and several dog runs plus a big public dog park not 2 miles away.

If your concern is having a quiet and peaceful RV park in Vegas that also has 24/7 security, this is it. When my wife and I were there, we actually left the RV for over 24 hours while we watched the sunset in Santa Monica. Not once did I feel the need to check the security systems in place on the RV. When we came back later on (1 am) the security guard on duty stood right up and ready. A pretty safe and quiet place. The price is actually good with all hookups and being in Vegas as well. Think we paid $45 daily for out 23ft RV? Planned on staying 2 nights and we stayed 5 instead. Not bad at all.

This retro RV was awesome! There is definitely a reason that this is the top hipcamp in Nevada. Heather measured the camper for us before we came to make sure our baby pack-n-play would fit. What a great spot! I can’t guarantee this place enough as a jumping off or landing pad for a Grand Canyon trip. The RV hookups are easy to find and use. The full working bathroom was an added bonus. Arrival instructions were super clear. No issues the entire stay, but the hosts were available for questions and helpful.

About
Stretching for 20 miles along the Upper Las Vegas Valley, Tule Springs Fossil Bed National Monument is located just 20 miles north of the Las Vegas Strip. Once a lush oasis, the area was home to mammoths, dire wolves, saber-tooth cats, and other prehistoric creatures, whose fossils can be found in large concentrations here. Modern wildlife and rare desert plants can also be found in the 22,650-acre national monument. Although there’s no camping inside the park, options can be found at Valley of Fire State Park, Lake Mead National Recreation Area, Mojave National Preserve, and Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest, along with private campsites near Las Vegas.
When to go
Spring and fall offer the best weather conditions, and are the best times to visit the Tule Springs National Monument. Spring is also the best time to look for the rare bear paw poppy. Temperatures in the summer regularly exceed 100°F, making it unpleasant (and unsafe) to visit. Temperatures in the winter can drop below freezing, though it rarely snows. The park is open year-round, during daylight hours only.
Know before you go
- Bring everything you will need with you. There are no facilities available inside the park.
- There’s very limited shade. Bring a hat and wear sun protection if you plan to explore during the day, and be sure to bring and drink plenty of water.
- It is illegal to touch or remove any fossils, bone fragments, or tusks.
- Flash floods can be a risk. Always keep an eye on conditions and seek higher ground if rain is forecast.
- There’s no parking onsite. Plan to park on public roads and enter the park on foot. Public bus service is available from the Las Vegas Strip via Route #119.
