Wide open desert with history. In the 1800s the area was prospected for lead and silver. It was also used as farmland decades ago, and now is infamous for it's world class night skies and Area 51 air force installation. Although you can see planes taking off towards the Nellis Bombing Range, or see jetfighter training exercises or even test flights, the US Government still hasn't acknowledged the existence of the facility... that you are not allowed to enter. This is also a UFO hotspot and required visiting for those that believe Earth may have visitors. This land means a lot to a lot of different people. For some, it means peace from city life. For others, it is the perfect setting for reflection on your life. Many find it to be the kind of adventurous or challenging tent camping they've sought. You'd be foolish not to count yourself among those the photographers, amateur astronomers, or souls that enjoy the continental United States' "darkest skies" with the least amount of light pollution in this part of the world. Some simply like camping and getting free air shows. Finally, if you enjoy UFO stories or stories of our men in black, there is an itinerary for you here that nowhere else can provide. This area is on many "independent researchers" must-visit list. If all that weren't enough, there is an indescribable feeling of bedding down for the night in this valley. Maybe 100% of people don't feel it, but so many past visitors who have spent the night near the Extraterrestrial Highway (the real name of Nevada State Route 395 that this land is accessible from) can vouch for it.

Weber Ranch is a 120 acre working sheep ranch located in rural Lincoln County Nevada. Each of our campsites comes fully equipped with top of the line shelters, fully equipped camp kitchen, tables, chairs, portable toilets with privacy structures, and all the basic essentials. Our property is surrounded by BLM land that is open for hiking. The adjacent Union Pacific Railroad offers campers the opportunity to view trains as they pass by throughout the day. We are home to a variety of seasonal birds and other wildlife native to the Southern Nevada Desert. You can spend the weekend relaxing around the camp or take a scenic drive to Caliente to explore nearby Kershaw-Ryan State Park.

Video and instructions made it very easy to find. Dirt road was smooth and easy to drive with a rig. Used the firepit and watched the stars, sadly it was cloudy. Appears to have another campsite not far from dreamland but still minimal light pollution. Gas station seemed be back in town 10 min drive, otherwise you’re quite a bit away from one so plan accordingly. Beautiful area. Would stop again

It was so quiet and peaceful. Great weather. Sunny but not too warm. Windy but not crazy to the point you have to go in the rv. We were a bit sad we didn’t see any UFOs but great location and directions were easy to follow.

This land was perfect for stargazing and watching the recent Blood-moon rise! While the site is open to the elements it feels very secluded and safe! We also appreciated the step by step directions Alex provided as they were clear, consist and easy to follow!

Weekend Trip to Sleep with the Sheep
It was a great place to camp. The land owner Todd is very nice and the host Emily has thought of everything. It is a long dirt road ride but once you get to camp, your camp is all set up with a kitchen, a tent, the fire was just about lit. The sheep come and go as it is a sheep farm. Green grass and lots of trees. There is a train that goes by and let's you know how the economy is. Better economy more trains. I loved the trains. Definitely read the message in hip camp. It has directions and pictures to get out there. Just a couple of hours from Las Vegas, it was great to unplug and just be. Don't put the address in Google as it will take you a different route. It was great at the end to just pack my clothes and cooler and leave. All the set up and clean up is taken care of for you. Thank you Todd for the land and Emily for the camp, it was great to be there and enjoy the family.

An Unforgettable Stay Under the Stars
If you’re into UFO lore, jet watching, or just love the magic of the desert, this place is unreal. We camped with a front-row seat to military jets flying overhead, had clear views of the night sky (seriously some of the best stargazing I’ve ever seen), and felt the eerie, electric energy of being so close to Area 51.
The site was peaceful, easy to access, and felt safe while still giving you that “middle of nowhere” vibe. We saw everything from stealth aircraft to shooting stars. Perfect for photographers, curious minds, or anyone looking for a one-of-a-kind camping experience.
Yes — I’d definitely recommend this spot to a friend. Just keep your eyes to the sky… you never know what you’ll see. 👽✨✈️

Had I brought firewood, the fire pit would have been used for sure.
No cell reception (T-Mobile), but the directions were clear and I had no trouble getting there. If one is counting on cell service for directions moving onward, I suggest writing down/printing/screen shots while in cell reception in preparation for departure.

About
A paradise for many species of wildlife and plants, Pahranagat National Wildlife Refuge serves as an essential stopover location for waterfowl and songbirds as they migrate south in the fall and back north in the early spring along the Pacific Flyway. Located in a region of Southern Nevada that only receives 6.4 inches of rain per year, the 5,382-acre refuge is truly a unique landscape where lush wetlands and tall cottonwood trees meet the Mojave Desert. Fed by the life-giving waters of Crystal and Ash Springs, here you will find acres of lakes, marshes, and wet meadows surrounded by desert uplands and a stunning array of flora and fauna.
