Little Harford Lower Woodland is set in a property of just over 6 acres. The woodland here at Little Harford is a tranquil place for people wanting to find peace and quiet in a back to nature experience. A small river meanders through the bottom of the lower woodland which can occasionally come up to the top of the bank with lots of rain. A winding path leads down through the woodland to where the land levels out at the water meadow area of the woodland. A family of buzzards live in the valley and you can often hear owls, pheasants and wild birds. A certain degree of fitness is needed as there is no vehicle access and wheelbarrows are available to help move your gear. There is parking at the entrance to the lower woodland on hard standing. A compost toilet is available for all No.2’s and mindful wild peeing is encouraged. Tap water is available from an outside tap at the property for drinking water. There is a washing up area (eco products provided) and a solar-powered gas fired shower. Campfires are allowed and seasoned wood can be purchased at a small extra cost. Nearest village of Tedburn St Mary with a local pub and the village shop is 1 ½ miles away. The nearest town of Crediton is 3 miles away with plenty of supermarkets, cafes, pubs and restaurants. Dartmoor is close by with Fingle Bridge just a 20 minute drive. We only offer a very limited number of camping spots at any time to preserve the tranquility for everyone. Weekend Trip to Lickham Bottom Camp

We loved our weekend at Oak Tree Nook. The outdoor kitchen shelter was a wonderful evening hang out with everything we needed and more. In the daytime we explored the woods, spent time in the hammock, sunbathed - bliss. We were cosy in the bell tent at night and although we didn't need the log burner, it was great to have the option. The open air shower was sooooooooo good! We would love to come back!

Weekend Trip to Wild About Campers

We loved staying at tams land. The views are absolutely beautiful as is the sound of nature and wildlife. We stayed in the otter tent which was well equipped for a family of 3 and a dog! Tam is an excellent host, unfortunately due to traffic we arrived late than planned on Friday night however tam was understanding and accommodating anf helped us settle in quickly. On the Saturday night it was a complete wash out and tam offered to let us stay in another one of their lodges as it had a log burner - this was excellent, appreciated and well timed (we'd been on the beach all day and were completely soaked)! We would definitely recommend staying here! Thanks again Tam!

Weekend Trip to Lickham Bottom Camp

Fantastic site and Penny is a great host! We stayed in Bluebell, despite the wet weather we had a wonderful stay. Everything you need is provided, the kitchen is very well equipped, and Penny is on hand for any queries and advice on the local area etc. There is plenty of space and we were not at all disturbed by our neighbouring campers, as the pitches are well spaced. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again!

Weekend Trip to Strawfields Cabins and Camping

Look no further – just book it! The site was spotless and really well-kept, with a lovely play area that kept the kids happy. It’s perfectly located, close to amazing spots like the rocky valleys and Tarr Steps, with stunning surroundings all around. Alex was absolutely amazing – so friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. If you’re looking for a place around North Devon, this is definitely it. We can’t wait to come back!

Me and my family came here for the weekend and wow! We had an absolutely amazing time. The camp site was beautiful, it was fully equipped and Penny was absolutely amazing. We had a wonderful stay in Jonathan's land. He is very welcoming and helpful. From the camp, we had beautiful views of the river and felt truly immersed in nature, surrounded by the silence. A compost toilet and a cute and spacious shower in a horse box were all the services we needed to make our stay comfortable. We would love to go back one day!

Gorgeous cabin with rolling countryside views. Private area with large garden. Hot tub and sauna are a big plus. Farm is quiet and very close to all North Devon has to offer. Accommodation is actually very spacious. 4 fit easily in each room. Highly recommended. We had a fabulous weekend, I could’ve stayed longer.

We had a fantastic time camping at Lickham Bottom. Penny gave us a warm welcome and even took us and our kit to the pitch on a quad bike! The site had everything we needed, and we also enjoyed some great pizzas from the van in the village. It’s also ideally located for trips to the coast.

We had a fantastic weekend celebrating birthdays in a beautiful location! Alex was a lovely host who gave us some great recommendations in the local area! All facilities are really well kept and modern + there are shops very close by for food/ drinks. I’d really recommend stopping by Marwood Milk for fresh milk in your morning coffee! We’d definitely recommend to a friend/ will hopefully return in the coming years!
