Much of Dartmoor National Park’s moorlands, working farms, and archaeological sites are open to four-legged family members. However, the park requires dogs to stay on lead near livestock, during lambing and nesting season (1 March–31 July) and in warm weather. Campers and their pets can stay in one of the park’s campsites, which typically feature showers, flush toilets, and launderettes. Panoramic sea views greet every patch of our working farm while CAMPFIRES and DOGS are actively encouraged. If the views bring you, it's the inclusive facilities that'll keep you. Two blocks contain 10 toilets, 7 unlimited hot showers (try these!), laundry, washing sinks, fridge/freezer & a microwave. There are also freshwater standpipes in each field and a chemical disposal point. However, sometimes a shower doesn't hack it. That's where our converted stone Barn Café comes in-complete with Wi-Fi & charging points. Open all day every day, 'The Barn' provides an oasis away from the elements, where you can enjoy everything from breakfast in the garden to dinner by the woodburner. If DIY campfire cooking is more your style, we also have a fully-stocked farm shop onsite providing all the essentials & much more too! Drinks? There's only one choice... a pint o' Caffyns cider. Homegrown on our 3000-tree strong orchard, located next to the campfields, our apples go from picking to pinting without leaving the farm. From sweet to scrumpy varieties there is no better way to try this land's fabled beverage than in our cider bar. For the adrenaline junkies, onsite horse riding allows you to sample Exmoor's scenery from the saddle. Catering to all experience levels, from beginner to advanced, our range of rides (1hr-3hrs) gives everyone the chance to explore with a discount given to those staying with us! Wandering through Caffyns acreage will introduce you to some of the other friendly farmyard 'locals'. Goats (Hint: Goat Cafe?!), alpacas, chickens, turkeys & sheep are all dotted throughout the farm on the way down to the South West Coast Path on our farm's perimeter. The nearest beach is a 20min walk away (Lee Bay) while Lynton & Lynmouth are 45mins.

We are a small camp site on the edge of Loddiswell. The large and level-grounded pitches with plenty of space for groups or for dogs (on leads) to sit with you. The facilities at your disposal include compost toilets , shower and a dishwashing station. Non electric hookup £15 a pitch Camper van or tent for for 2 adults £5 per extra person up to a max of 6. 2 vehicle per pitch. It’s beaches and walks galore from Cottage Farm Camping just outside the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. On the edge of Loddiswell, this easily accessible site is 20 minutes’ drive away from a reel of beaches, including Bigbury on Sea, South Milton Sands, Hope Cove and Mothecombe. There are a fair few golf courses and National Trust properties in the local area. Plus, with Kingsbridge 10 minutes’ drive away and Plymouth 40 minutes’ drive away, town life isn’t too far either – a great situation for things like restaurants, cafés, shopping and the likes (not forgetting seafood in Salcombe, 20 minutes’ drive away). Those of you who are fans of walking will have a good run of Dartmoor National Park’s moors, 20 minutes’ drive away, or the splendid walks. Friday and Sat evening the Pavillioj in the playing field run a pop ip pub. 5 minute walk from the site.

I had a fantastic stay with my dog at this lovely campsite. The pitches are spacious and the views are absolutely stunning. The staff are welcoming, friendly and relaxed, which makes for a really enjoyable atmosphere. The facilities are clean and plentiful, with lovely hot showers and great water pressure. There are also two large fridges and a chest freezer, which are really useful. The little shop is well stocked with all the essentials, too. The cider bar is a real highlight, offering tasty food and their own cider. The apple crumble was absolutely excellent! There are also plenty of footpaths straight from the farm, including routes to the coast path and Lee Bay. If you’re feeling brave, you can even walk towards Lynton and Lynmouth. A beautiful, peaceful site with everything you need for a great stay. I’d definitely come back!

Such a beautiful, magical spot next to the river through the trees. Peaceful, felt like being in the heart of nature. The fairy trail took me back to my childhood. Felt really welcomed. Facilities good. Loved all the sheep, goats, chickens, bats, owls and the cows on the other side of the river. A truly wild experience. We will be back

Such lovely hosts and fantastic place to camp. Facilities were great and clean - having the little hut with a fridge and kettle is super handy! The views are unreal and the coastal path is right there which is great for walks or trail runs. The field is quite exposed to wind as you could imagine but helps to camp in the corners of the field or up against the back wall/hedge which is what we did. Would love to come back soon! I would absolutely recommend this place. Serina and Craig have a lovely section of land for camping that is surrounded by trees wildflowers and wildlife. It is very peaceful and has some great spots to pitch up the tent. The showers are power full clean and hot. We also got the heads up for the pizza night freshly made by Serina and Graig which were 10/10 and they even made a vegan version for my partner. Our dog absolutely loved roaming around and swimming in the river that runs along camp and enjoyed the company of the sheep that roam around. We shall definitely be returning best campsite I’ve stayed at for a while. Many thanks Serina and Graig 🙂

Spacious and well-equipped kitchen set up for the yurts. Friendly and informative staff were on hand to sort out any issues we had. A peaceful campsite with plenty of space between other yurts and campers. Nice hot showers, and I loved the touch of fresh meadow flowers. Brilliantly located (just a short walk) to Gara Beach and the South West Coastal Path. We had a wonderful time and will recommend it to friends. Thank you to Tobdan and Tenzen for inviting our daughter on a bike ride to the next village for an ice cream!

Sauna and river swimming very invigorating, children enjoyed the trampolines and the dog loved the freedom. Minimal facilities, no mobile reception, truly off grid. This place is a hidden gem, probably one of the best campsites we’ve ever stayed at! The setting is beautiful, the family who run it are lovely, and the onsite pizza oven/ bar was a great surprise when we arrived! Shower block and toilets were spotless, the water was lovely and hot, fire pit rental for £5 and the fact you can forage for your own wood is a awesome. we can’t wait to come back again. 10/10
