Set the edge of Exmoor, we have unrivalled coastal views, direct access to the South West Coast Path and Combe Martin bay is just a little walk away (perfect for paddle-boarding and dolphin spotting!).
Choose your pitch, settle down by a fire pit and watch the sun set across Combe Martin bay. With pizza’s available on some weekends, breakfast baguettes for breakfast and a selection of farm produce available - we have everything you could need, we are campervan friendly too.
With footpaths from the farm in all directions you can join the South West Coast Path or just ramble down to the village where there are shops, cafes and pubs a plenty.
With full flushing toilets and hot showers, as well as a washing up area, there is even an old railway carriage with electric plugs to charge your phone or dry your hair, with a fridge and freezer to look after your supper too.
We are a small site focusing on that quiet get-away. There is no road noise, just the farmer going about his day job, who’s more than happy to chat about the wildlife, birds and weather!

After three years of welcoming families to our much-loved holiday cottages, we're thrilled to open our fields for our very first camping season. With just a handful of boutique pitches on our family-run smallholding, we're giving even more families the chance to experience the magic of Wild Wanderers. This isn't a holiday park. There are no flashing arcades or rows of identical pitches. Instead, you'll find space to breathe, children free to explore, and the kind of camping that creates the stories you'll still be talking about years later.
Wake up to birdsong, wander down to the river for a paddle or wild swim, meet our friendly sheep and farm animals, toast marshmallows around the campfire and watch the stars come out.
We're keeping things beautifully simple with clean toilets, hot showers and a washing-up area everything you need, without taking away the feeling of being close to nature.
Bring your BBQ, hire one of our raised fire pits, or join us on one of our popular wood-fired pizza evenings. Don't forget to grab one of our famous s'mores kits... because camping simply isn't camping without gooey marshmallows!

We are a small camp site on the edge of Loddiswell.
The large and level-grounded pitches with plenty of space for groups or for dogs (on leads) to sit with you.
The facilities at your disposal include compost toilets , shower and a dishwashing station.

It’s beaches and walks galore from Cottage Farm Camping just outside the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. On the edge of Loddiswell, this easily accessible site is 20 minutes’ drive away from a reel of beaches, including Bigbury on Sea, South Milton Sands, Hope Cove and Mothecombe.
There are a fair few golf courses and National Trust properties in the local area. Plus, with Kingsbridge 10 minutes’ drive away and Plymouth 40 minutes’ drive away, town life isn’t too far either – a great situation for things like restaurants, cafés, shopping and the likes (not forgetting seafood in Salcombe, 20 minutes’ drive away).
Those of you who are fans of walking will have a good run of Dartmoor National Park’s moors, 20 minutes’ drive away, or the splendid walks.
Friday and Sat evening the Pavillioj in the playing field run a pop ip pub. 5 minute walk from the site.

Situated on 160 acres within Exmoor National Park, campers are encouraged to take advantage of our relaxed, rule-free approach allowing you to pitch wherever you fancy. Sheltered corners and wide open spaces are aplenty suiting everyone from couples to large groups. Panoramic sea views greet every patch of our working farm while CAMPFIRES and DOGS are actively encouraged.
If the views bring you, it's the inclusive facilities that'll keep you. Two blocks contain 10 toilets, 7 unlimited hot showers (try these!), laundry, washing sinks, fridge/freezer & a microwave. There are also freshwater standpipes in each field and a chemical disposal point.
However, sometimes a shower doesn't hack it. That's where our converted stone Barn Café comes in-complete with Wi-Fi & charging points. Open all day every day, 'The Barn' provides an oasis away from the elements, where you can enjoy everything from breakfast in the garden to dinner by the woodburner. If DIY campfire cooking is more your style, we also have a fully-stocked farm shop onsite providing all the essentials & much more too!
Drinks? There's only one choice... a pint o' Caffyns cider. Homegrown on our 3000-tree strong orchard, located next to the campfields, our apples go from picking to pinting without leaving the farm. From sweet to scrumpy varieties there is no better way to try this land's fabled beverage than in our cider bar.
For the adrenaline junkies, onsite horse riding allows you to sample Exmoor's scenery from the saddle. Catering to all experience levels, from beginner to advanced, our range of rides (1hr-3hrs) gives everyone the chance to explore with a discount given to those staying with us!
Wandering through Caffyns acreage will introduce you to some of the other friendly farmyard 'locals'. Goats (Hint: Goat Cafe?!), alpacas, chickens, turkeys & sheep are all dotted throughout the farm on the way down to the South West Coast Path on our farm's perimeter. The nearest beach is a 20min walk away (Lee Bay) while Lynton & Lynmouth are 45mins.

We had low expectations, but this surpassed them by far! The lake was cleaner, bigger, more picturesque than imagined from photos online. We brought our camper van and moved spots after first night when more preferrable spot next to the river opened up. Definitely bring a SUP or other float to enjoy the lake. Great location for cycling on the Granite Way to Okehampton or Lydford with no need to drive! Public toilets about 15mins walk to Meldon Reservoir carpark. Nice supply of firewood. Bring your own water, not reliable source of drinking water available close by. Phil and his brother were friendly and happy to offer advice/ info, and often passing through the bridleway on horseback, quad bike or on foot with cattle dogs. Cows got herded through one day! So fun to see, and they stuck to the bridleway and didn't impact our campsite at all. Curious ponies roaming free as well, but only came into our site once while packing up. This is a public bridleway with passers by and their dogs, but still very quiet and peaceful. If anything we felt special for being able to camp in such a beautiful place. We wish we had booked longer! We do see how the experience heavily relies on good neighbours, though. For camper vans there are 4 spaces quite close together and we got lucky with one other really nice on each night, there are other more private spots available for smaller cars/vans and tents. Highly recommend this spot.

We loved the campingsite by Jonathan. We were the only ones there so if you like peace and quiet this is the place to be. We had a lovely spot with a lot of sun and a view on the river. We could not always swim with the low tides but when it was high it was great. Our host Jonathan helped us with recommandations for things to do in the neighbourhood. We did nice walks and went to a castle. We would come back here in the future.

Absolutely amazing. Views are incredible and everyone on the site is so friendly. Facilities are basic but so good and clean. The showers are great it’s literally a proper shower no button pressing to use them. So much space the kids and dogs loved it. You can use fire pits and wood at a cost and Paul delivers them to your tent.

Absolute gem of a camping site. Beautiful, astonishingly quiet (except for the birdsong), my sons were thrilled at being able to fish at the bottom of the field, camp fires are allowed and the shower is so cute- in a converted horsebox! If you like seclusion this is the place for you. Maybe no one else does, as we were the only people there for several days, and were only ever joined by two more parties of people.
