Situated within and overlooking the serene Tamar Valley National Park on the Bere Peninsula, our campsite offers spacious pitches and modern amenities, all while retaining the natural charm of traditional camping. Designed with accessibility in mind, our facilities are fully equipped and include complimentary Wi-Fi and fire pits for a cozy evening under the stars. Whether you’re seeking a peaceful retreat or an adventure in the great outdoors, we invite you and your dogs (additional charge) to book your stay and experience the breathtaking beauty of Devon and Cornwall. We accept, caravans, tents and tourers. Conveniently located just 6 miles from the ancient town of Tavistock in Devon and to the Cornish border of Gunnislake. Good rail and bus links. Check in is from 15:00, and check out is by 10:00. Alternative arrangements can be made by prior agreement. Facilities include: Accessible toilets and showers Shared guest fridge and freezer Indoor washing up area Free Wi-Fi access Phone charging points Complimentary firepit use with purchase of pit pack Well-behaved dogs welcomed (extra charge £2pn - no restricted breeds) Chemical toilet and grey waste disposal points Motorhome service point Farm restaurant open Friday - Monday from 9am - 4pm with last hot food orders at 3pm. Serving all day breakfasts, hot food, paninis and light lunches and Sunday roasts.

Great pitches on conveniently flat land. We were very lucky to have the field to ourselves for the first night.

The campsite is clearly not ready which is not made obvious of Hip Camp. 1 toilet, 1 shower and 1 washing up station for 15 pitches at the moment. Good fridge freezer facility, poo bag bin & poo bags available. Site Internet not working. The information on local walks is poor - they are not paths, they are along fairly busy county roads with cars etc going quite fast. People coming to campsites generally expect some good local walk information & pubs/opening times for eating - the lack of effort here was really disappointing. I was camping alone as a single girl yet I didn’t get anyone from the campsite coming up to say hello, checking all was ok during my stay. I didn’t see anyone from when I arrived at check in time (don’t follow the signs to reception, it’s still being built) until 10.30am when I passed 3 members of staff working on the facilities building and not one of them asked me how my stay was, despite signs saying they wanted feedback. It’s a weird place that doesn’t appear to be friendly, well informed for campers & isn’t being honest about the fact it’s barely open yet. A lot of other sites are much more welcoming and supply info about the local area. Hopefully it will get better when they’re more geared up. Amazing views and seclusion, but note the camping field is backs into the road so some traffic noise.

One of the nicest spots we stayed on our whirlwind west to east along the south coast. Well sign posted easy to find sites and great facilities.
