We are a WILD campsite with character and history. Our most popular pitch is our beautiful SSSI woodland. There are only 25 pitches available. We have a mid wild pitch on the outskirts of the woods, lovely grassed area between trees. Our top field is perfect for motorhomes & caravans. Plenty of space to breath and relax. Located on the stunning heathlands of the Sutton Heath. We are surrounded by beautiful woodland walks, including the Sandlings walk and just 10 minutes from the river Deben. We have a bus stop at the top of the track and Melton train station is a 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive. There are access points onto public footpaths, leading to Rendlesham Forest. A famous site for UFOs! Sutton Hoo is a stone's throw away. Bring your bikes and explore the area on wheels. There is water access and portaloos. We do not have showers yet. Two Camping Pods - Very simple, double bunk bed with two single beds underneath. Off grid power for lights, charging phones up, along with a small shared fridge. A shared dry compost toilet with a shower. There is a small adult mud kitchen along with each pod having there own BBQ and firepits to use. The pods are situated in a 2.5 acre field in the corner with fencing around them. Dogs are welcomed and there is a dog field you can hire a few hundred yards away along with this there is a footpath run through the family beef and arable farm. The pods are walking distance from Latitude Festival situated at Henham Park happening at the end of July, 15 minute drive to the seaside - Southwold, Walberswick and Dunwich. The local market town Halesworth is only 3.5 miles away and Beccles 7 miles away.

Weekend Trip to Freedom Farm Camping

We had an amazing stay at the wonderful Freedom Eco Farm. The location is really lovely, with distant views of rolling hills and mature trees - all to ourselves. What is especially great was Helena and Duncan’s relaxed and warm welcome and the ability to roam the tracks around their farm. The grass fed beef burgers were delicious and we’ll be back to try the swimming pond and sauna. Thanks, we loved our stay.

Absolutely wonderful campsite. Perfect for hiking the Sandlings Walk. This site is approximately 13 miles from start of walk. My son and I loved the basic nature of site just porta loos and drinking water what more do you need. Very relaxed, peaceful and a wonderful welcome. We camped in woods are were virtually alone. Will be back with family as you can have campfires as well. I would highly recommend this site as it is absolutely what camping should be about. Wish more were like this site.

Plenty of space where you’re pretty much left to your own devices. Portaloo in close proximity which was immaculate. You can pick your own pitch either in the wood, the field or next to the lake. We absolutely loved it. A great place to sit round the fire pit, listen to music, sink a beer and reminisce the good times. I found it the perfect place to decompress and forget the outside world! Took paddle boards and a kayak for a day down at Paper Mill Lock and it was perfect. Well worth a visit. £5 for all day parking, tea room and ice cream stall. The place was buzzing!! Tim’s land was the perfect base camp. Bravo Tim!!

Absolutely loved our short but sweet stay here with our toddler + dog! This was the most lo-fi camping we've done with our little one, so we were a little bit apprehensive about how it would go, but we will 100% be coming back as soon as we can! Getting a wilder experience in the knowledge that we had assistance nearby if needed was perfect + seeing my toddler in his absolute element dragging a stick through the woods in his nappy is a memory I'll keep forever! Loveliest, calmest place to wake up + wish we hadn't had to zoom back to London chaos so soon Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Weekend Trip to Plum Camping at White House Farm

Lovely site with very clean facilities. Extra bonus was using the fire pit. Also a very nice looking butchers and cafe on site. The only down side was the noise on the Saturday night. The camp is not staffed and the gate is left open. At 2:30am there was a lot of noise coming from a group of other campers who had arrived back late. This included noise from cars with one car in particular driving very fast around the field. To say this was unsettling would be an understatement as it was difficult to know if this person may have been under the influence of alcohol due to the speed and also the fear of the car ploughing into a tent. There is a notice up saying no noise after 10pm however this was obviously ignored. The Sunday night was much quieter except for the early morning wake up call from a couple of military aircraft at 6:30am! I would happily visit this site again if I were to visit the area it’s just a shame that one group of people couldn’t respect other campers.
