Furnished bell tents with private shower rooms, great for gatherings and get togethers.

Looking for a break in the countryside for your next social gathering? Willow Grove happily opens its farm gates to groups of friends and families, providing a glamping getaway that’s tons of fun for up to nearly 40 adults and kids alike. Six fully-furnished bell tents are available on this Suffolk site, each boasting its own private shower room with a flushing toilet, and positioned around a communal campfire. This is a versatile space, as ideal for a hen-do as it is for a family gathering – adults will love barbecuing with their nearest and dearest, while the kids can walk the alpacas and hand-feed the pygmy goats.

The tents are placed in a circle but kept spaciously apart, making them ideal for both group and individual bookings. Whether you’re booking just the one tent or all six, there’s a real sense of community here – picnic benches are gathered around in a sheltered social hub next to the well-equipped outdoor kitchen, and it’s all but a requirement to roast marshmallows over the central campfire with your fellow glampers. It’s a good-looking spot, too, as fairy lights adorn the trees that are scattered between the tents, lending it a real magical woodland vibe, while the tents’ furnishings wouldn’t look out of place in a quaint cottage.

If you’re not kept busy enough nattering away over the fire, take the wooden canoe over to the river that runs behind the tents. This waterway runs right into the village of Lakenheath, where there are some popular local pubs to pop into, and just outside is the military base of RAF Lakenheath with a viewing area from which you can sometimes spot huge jets taking off (you'll know if it's worth waiting because the carpark overflows when there are interesting planes taking off).

Back at camp, the kids will love the on-site sunken trampolines and zip-line, and can meet the animal friends who call this place home – Dolly and Ronnie the goats, Jeffery and Rodney the alpacas, and the Welsh Mountain Ponies. The hens also provide fresh eggs, included in the purchasable local breakfast hamper with a BBQ hamper also available. It all makes for a holiday you and your loved ones won’t forget in a hurry.

Utterly brilliant
Utterly brilliant stay. The camping area has all you need - I enclosed, clean and tidy and the individual bathrooms are a huge plus. We’re definitely going back.

Happy glampers!!
We all had a fantastic time here, and sincerely wished we had booked longer than 2 nights. The team have thought of everything, down to a private fridge and bathroom per tent, and a communal kitchen to prep and cook food to compliment the private BBQ you get by your tent. The large communal firepit was a great social icebreaker, we got to know all of the other guests, which created such a relaxed & friendly vibe all round. Nigel came and sat, and chatted with us at various times to ask if we were enjoying ourselves and check if we needed anything. Children of all ages played happily together from morning till night, with no need at all to 'hover parent', as the site is safe and secure with plenty to do, the garden games box was used for rounders and 20:20 cricket by a few of the families. We even paid a small fee to have a small coop of chickens placed next to our tent which our little ones loved. We all felt truly unplugged after only 2 nights here.....We're already coordinating our diaries to book our next stay!

Highly Recommended!
We really enjoyed our glamping experience at Willow Grove Farm: • Greeted by really friendly and welcoming staff (and their lovely dogs!) • Beautiful location; quiet and all enclosed- so safe for pets and children • The spacing of the tents allowed both privacy and a sense of camping community • Private washroom/toilet facilities (with your own combination lock on the door) very clean, nice warm showers • The tents were very spacious and beautifully maintained. Beds were very comfortable • A good mix of private and shared facilities- the open kitchen is a nice feature, as well as the communal fire pit • Great for campers with or without children or pets • Good selection of family board games available Overall, a amazing experience! Highly recommended! Thank you to Michelle and Team

Lovely site with great bell tents. Water hot, beds comfy and loads of wood for the huge fire pit. Would return again and great for dogs as totally enclosed space.

A private site of just 6 bell tents nestled amongst the trees and the bottom of our farm. The farm boasts it's stunning evening views across the large sky and its abundance of flora, forna & wildlife as well as plenty of local attractions to keep everyone entertained during your stay. The sanctuary provides an idyllic space perfect for getting family & friends together & reconnecting whilst enjoying the outdoors. We have features to entertain children & space for adults to relax, as well as activities & games to be enjoyed together.
Food and drink

The Red Lion in Hockwold is three miles away, a handsome traditional village pub that serves food all week, including a Sunday roast and steak night on a Thursday. Enjoy the spacious outdoor garden that boasts plenty of seating, while the kids can be kept occupied in the play area. The Wellington is just under a 10-minute drive away, named after the Wellington planes that were stationed at Feltwell in World War II, with plenty of memorabilia and artwork on display in the pub to commemorate them. It’s received rewards for both its food and its beer, so it’s definitely worth checking out while in the area.

Nearby attractions

RAF Lakenheath is two miles away, where visitors can take a look at its aircraft taking off and landing from its viewing platform. The military base is steeped in history, having first been used in the First World War and currently hosting United States Air Force units. Also two miles down the road from the farm is Lakenheath Fen, a nature reserve that's home to a variety of wildlife, from kingfishers to cranes, to otters and water voles. High Lodge is also a 10-minute drive away, a sprawling forest with a variety of things to do, including archery and adventure golf.
