Set on a traditional family-run farm in rural Norfolk, Snettisham Meadows is on the outskirts of the pretty village of Snettisham and short drive away from North Norfolk's beautiful white sandy beaches.
Animal-mad campers, form an orderly queue please, as this 329-acre farm has several attractions up its sleeve for you, including meet-and-greets with pigs and ponies, lamb feeding in spring and deer safaris. There’s also a dog paddock for rent so four-legged companions can have a frisk around, and an area on the camping field is reserved for guests with dogs.
Campfires and barbecues are permitted and you can borrow firepits from the site owners. Logs are also available to buy. The site is only 10 minutes’ walk from a village pub if you fancy a change of scenery.
After a fun-filled day exploring this lovely part of Norfolk, come back to your pitch and keep your fingers crossed for clear skies and some serious stargazing.
Facilities include washing-up sinks, a small shop at reception for essential supplies and tourist information, USB phone charging and a freezer for ice packs.

Rosehip Wood Campsite is a nature rich, off-grid wild campsite set in a peaceful woodland. This site is completely enclosed by fences so kids can roam free-range-style, make dens using branches and explore the 'secret cedar hideaway'. There is a field with a football goal for recreational activities and adjoining footpaths for road free walks.
It is tucked away on the outskirts of the pretty Norfolk village of West Dereham. This beautiful rewilding project offers the unspoilt simplicity and tranquillity of wild camping within the grassy clearings of a quiet mixed woodland and balanced with just enough facilities to make camping fun and comfortable including fresh water and compost toilets.
All Rosehip Wood’s pitches are family friendly and allow BBQs and campfires.
Your hosts invite you to wander along mown paths, through grassy clearings and wildflowers. The woodland has been planted with lots of nuts and fruits for both wildlife and humans to enjoy. As the sun sets, unwind, and enjoy starlit skies unspoilt by light pollution against the distant calls and barks of local wildlife.
The site has no lighting so don’t forget your torch if you plan on an evening amble. Downham Market is around 4 ½ miles away offering supermarkets, a market, food and drink in the town’s historic pubs and a range of restaurants. It also has a train station from which your hosts will be happy to pick you up if you are coming camping without a car. If you need an extra tent this can be rented at an extra cost.

Had a lovely night at Plum Camping - our second stay there. We love how quiet and peaceful it is, and yet so close to Norwich. You can watch the planes coming out of / flying into Norwich Airport without any disturbance from the noise. Plenty of birds and wildlife to see and hear, and space to roam around in a lovely flat field, with wild patches to break it up.
The facilities are rustic, as you'd expected from a camping farm, but they're clean and well-maintained, with everything you could want for a basic camping trip - properly hot showers, toilets, washing up facilities, fridge and freezer, charging area, fire pits and wood.
We were meant to stay 2 nights but had to leave a night early as our son was taken ill. But I'm sure we'll be back another time!

I have nothing but good tbings to say about campung at hipcamp. The people running the camp were great; helpful and friendly. The fascilies were more than what anyone would need and maticulously cleaned every day.
The surroumding area is a treat too with loads to see and do, for adults and kids alike.
Be back soon but will he going for one of the other great looking accomodations they have on offer for a change.

The site is very pretty, quiet and very well placed for visiting the coast and beautiful north Norfolk. We walked from the site to Blikling - what a gorgeous walk.

I made some mistakes on my booking, and Peter was super helpful. He replied really quickly and everything was resolved in under a day. The campsite itself was great. Clean toilets and washing up area, and lots of space to pitch up. I would definitely recommend this campsite!

Archer’s Field sits in a beautiful place close to both coast and countryside offering access to lots of activities. The pitches are large, and campers are free to choose where they camp. I loved being able to walk directly from the campsite (along the Weavers Way) and on to the Blickling Estate.

We camped for 5 nights at Archer’s and it was just what we needed. The field is surrounded by trees and the skies were dark enough for fabulous stargazing. The toilets and showers were clean and perfectly adequate for our needs. Peter was very friendly and the whole atmosphere was laid back and relaxed. It’s also a great location for the coast, aylsham and other attractions

Lovely spacious peaceful pitches. Clean facilities, although you have to keep turning the shower off and on to get hot water. This didn’t really matter just had to get used to it. Lovely walks from the site. A super pub in Dilham village (The Cross Keys). We spent a day swimming and kayaking, launching from the Dilham Hall Retreat kayaking and paddleboard site. This is all part of the same estate so no charge to launch your own kayak. No noise after 10pm really works for us as does no music. A great little find.,

Quiet, chilled and small site. Clean facilities with nice hot showers. Owner came out to meet new arrivals in the early evening and was v friendly and knowledgeable. There is a fridge and freezer (across road in farmhouse) for campers’ use. Blackberry bushes were a nice bonus. Bus stop for buses to Norwich, Cromer and Sheringham 5 mins walk (honestly so much easier than driving - roads narrow and busy, and car parks full). Farm also sells eggs, and depending on season - whatever they’re growing.

Really lovely, quiet little campsite, with lots of personal touches - and it was wonderful to be supporting the rebirth of the windmill by staying there! We would definitely stay there again. Added bonus having bakery and delicious cafe there. And it's the only time we have ever been offered the use of a clean bathmat each time we showered! Thank you, Elly.
