Campsites near Pateley Bridge, North Yorkshire

On the south-east edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, the lesser known Nidderdale AONB seems purpose-made for camping holidays. Moorland, hills and rocky ridges make for spectacular walking scenery, while the renowned Brimham Rocks are a popular congregation point for rock climbers. For a more casual walk, the banks of the River Nidd are ideal, running through the pretty town of Pateley Bridge, with its riverside tea rooms and homely pub. There are also plenty of campsites near the village, with the best of them making it onto the Hipcamp short list.
