Tyne View Camping is a peaceful spot in Tyne and Wear, not far from Hedley on the Hill village. It's on a farm run by David and his family, who welcome guests to enjoy the beautiful countryside views. You can see the Tyne Valley from the camping pitches, which is great for stargazing at night. The site is basic with just water taps and toilets, no showers, but there's lots of space for kids and dogs to play. You're allowed to bring a barbecue or firepit for cooking, and you can buy supplies in Prudhoe nearby. Or, you can walk to Hedley on the Hill for a meal at a top-notch pub. There are plenty of things to do nearby, like walking in the woods, playing golf, or trying gliding. You can also visit Hadrian’s Wall, Newcastle upon Tyne, or explore the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty for a varied and enjoyable break.Also this June we will be open for the Sam Fender weekend ie June 12 til the 16th if anyone wants to camp £20 a night plus a taxi for £20

What a little Derbyshire gem: back to basics Whitehouse Farm Campsite is a simple site in a most scenic setting five minutes’ drive from the pretty village of Tideswell. The site’s central location in the Peak District National Park means it’s a top spot for those who want to ramble or ride bikes – several circular trails leave from Tideswell and the traffic-free Monsal Trail is a five-minute drive away. And there’s plenty more activity if you require it too, as activity centres nearby can sort you out days of horse riding, abseiling, climbing and caving. All this activity isn’t mandatory, of course – this is an equally fine location for days pottering off to local pubs, pigging out on pudding in Bakewell or taking a leisurely stroll around the Chatsworth Estate, 20 minutes away. And if even that’s too much, you’d be welcome to spend some time loafing about on site: there’s heaps of space here, and as facilities have been kept quite minimal (just showers and toilets) there should be a good serving of peace and quiet to go with it all. Guests are welcome to light up a barbecue or campfire for cookouts and keeping warm; Tideswell’s the place for supermarket supplies, and it’s also handily got a fish and chip shop and a couple of pubs for days when your firelighting skills aren't up to much.

Well-maintained and peaceful wild camping site in the Peak District Buxton 15 minutes’ drive; Chatsworth House half an hour Dogs welcome; 10 minutes’ walk from a pub; nearby playground Just how remote would you like your holiday accommodation to be? If the answer is fair to middling, Damside Campsite might just be the place for you: this pop-up spot is surrounded by the glorious wilderness of Peak District National Park. Doesn’t get much more blissfully peaceful than that – except for the occasional lowing cow, all is stillness here. Having said that, don’t worry: you won’t have to scramble across hills and dales for a pint: a traditional pub serving real ales and home-cooked food is right in the village of Peak Forest, a 20-minute walk away. Both the site and the pub welcome dogs, though it might be wise to keep them on a lead when walking past the farm animals. This is wild camping; facilities might not be abundant (there are no showers), but they are well maintained and include a portable toilet and a washing-up area. There is also fresh running water, and you’re welcome to start a campfire or a barbecue. You can grab essentials in the village shop, or head to Chapel-en-le-Frith (10 minutes) or Buxton (15 minutes). If you’re here with the kids, the flat, grassy field where you’ll set up your tent makes for an excellent play area on which to run around, kick a ball or fly a kite. A nearby playground has swings, slides, a small adventure course and a multisport pitch. Walking paths start from right outside the farm, or you can drive to hiking areas like Chee Dale Stepping Stones (10 minutes), a dramatic gorge on the River Wye.

We have a family friendly Quiet campsite in the heart of Lancashire on our family run farm. Our site is situated in a species rich meadow field with large mown Pitches surrounded by wild flowers and meandering pathways linking the site together. We are surrounded by a young trees & woodland with the back drop of the Pennines. We offer both glamping and traditional non EHU camping on our site, with lovely hot showers, clean toilet facilities, fresh water point, pot wash area, phone charger lockers, communal freezers, elsan disposal point, microwave, coffee/hot chocolate machine, and our little honesty shack with all little camping essentials to might need whilst staying with us. We also hire out picnic benches and fire pits to help enhance your camping experience. Adjoining the campsite, we have a padock with super frindly sheep that love to say hello. We sell little bags of sheep feed, just incase you'd like to give them a little treat. In the middle of the site, we have a little tots play area, perfect for keeping you're small kids entertained. We are a Quiet family site, with a Reduced Noise policy from 9 pm, and Quiet Time from 10 pm to 8.30 am. Latest check in time is 8PM, unless prearranged with the campsite. Our site has close links to the A6 and m6 J33. We are only 13 miles from the Historic city of Lancaster, the Bright lights of Blackpool and the jubilee city of Preston. 4 miles from the first fair trade market town of Garstang and 45 mins into the Lake District. There is also lots of interesting activities to do locally.

There are picnic benches available around the field, and fire pits available to use if you don’t have one. Access to fresh water and a toilet. Really lovely idyllic setting and we definitely return.

I’d really recommend this site! The location & views are beautiful with the Roaches, Luds Church & Tittesworth Reservoir being close walks. The facilities are great with super pressure showers and regularly cleaned toilets! The team coming round with available fire pits is a lovely touch and the food van (Fridays & weekends) do a great breakfast sandwich! The site is really well maintained too, any holes/tyre indents on the ground left in the morning were filled by the team which was noticed & appreciated😊 Only advice would be to boil some water to take washing up as it’s only cold water available but not a review-reflecting issue 😊 we’ll definitely be back!

Woke up to lovely views across the fields and the sound of sheep and cows. Basic facilities which were clean and good instructions how to find it. We had a lovely time in the camper van at The Hollies. The location is perfect, beautiful views, close to The Roaches (which is where we were heading for a sunset walk). Easy to find, easy access. You just drive on, and decide where to park up. There are 2 small toilet blocks - no queuing, well stocked. Pay as you go hot showers. (Pound coins required) We were unable to take advantage of the fire pit hire (£32 cash needed for the pit hire, and wood, etc, £20 of which is returned back to you upon collection of the pit) as we were quite late returning back to site. The other campers looked to be enjoying them though. I'm not sure if the pizza van was open for our stay, it was closed when we got back to site just before 21.00. Otherwise that would have been a perfect end to a perfect day. We would definitely return to The Hollies. :-)

Stunning place to stay amazing veiws Lovley little campsite , benches to eat on , swing from the tree was really fun , the toilets and washing up area where super clean and tidy ! . The owners where Lovley and where straight there when we needed some fire wood !! Walks near by where epic aswell !! Loved the charging area , and also felt really safe to leave our cars and tents there !

Fantastic site. Lovely hosts. They were constantly working on improving the facilities. Very reasonably priced wood. Beautiful surroundings. Felt like a proper old school camping experience rather than a monetised, overhyped nonsense. Very easy access to local sites. All in all a great site. Highly recommend.
