Fancy some secluded downtime exploring rural coastal Suffolk? The tree-shaded pitches at Hill Farm are in a peaceful setting near the market towns of Saxmundham and Halesworth, and handily accessible from the A12, as well as to the coast and pretty villages, historical hamlets, and popular seaside towns, such as Southwold and Aldeburgh. This is a site that welcomes families and groups of friends, and it's dog-friendly too (there’s a 4-acre woodland to the north of the site that's great for dog walking). The site has good TV reception for relaxing indoors on damp or chilly days. The popular village of Westleton (10 minutes’ drive) has a village store, a farm shop, a garage and 2 pubs; and if you fancy a change from cooking, there is also a nice pub and a tearoom, in the Darsham village area (only 5 minutes drive or a 30 minute walk away through some lovely fields). Back on site, there are a toilet cabins with hot running water, plus other facilities including 4 showers, a portaloo, and a washing machine, grey waste and chemical toilet disposal and recycling points. Wi-fi is nearly all over the site too. The shared facilities at the top of the site also has a fridge and a washing up area, with a warm water tap, a nearby kettle and a plug socket for charging mobiles. Picnic tables, PIR lighting and Starlink wifi is also provided. Please not that dogs must be kept on a lead at all times, and yes campfires are allowed, as long as the fire pit is raised off the ground and the fire is supervised at all times, with a bucket of water at hand too. Thank you for booking!

I booked a couple of nights because I wanted a base as I wanted to try and get some photos of the local red deer...The hosts were so helpful especially as I'd forgotten my camping pots and pans and they were kind enough to lend me some...The site was beautiful and very atmospheric with owls hooting and buzzards flying overhead...All in all a great site which I'll definitely be using again...Oh and I eventually managed to find my red deer stag too...Many thanks....😊👍

Weekend Trip to Plum Camping at White House Farm

Had a lovely night at Plum Camping - our second stay there. We love how quiet and peaceful it is, and yet so close to Norwich. You can watch the planes coming out of / flying into Norwich Airport without any disturbance from the noise. Plenty of birds and wildlife to see and hear, and space to roam around in a lovely flat field, with wild patches to break it up. The facilities are rustic, as you'd expected from a camping farm, but they're clean and well-maintained, with everything you could want for a basic camping trip - properly hot showers, toilets, washing up facilities, fridge and freezer, charging area, fire pits and wood. We were meant to stay 2 nights but had to leave a night early as our son was taken ill. But I'm sure we'll be back another time!

I have nothing but good tbings to say about campung at hipcamp. The people running the camp were great; helpful and friendly. The fascilies were more than what anyone would need and maticulously cleaned every day. The surroumding area is a treat too with loads to see and do, for adults and kids alike. Be back soon but will he going for one of the other great looking accomodations they have on offer for a change. Thank you guys.

Archer’s Field sits in a beautiful place close to both coast and countryside offering access to lots of activities. The pitches are large, and campers are free to choose where they camp. I loved being able to walk directly from the campsite (along the Weavers Way) and on to the Blickling Estate.

Lovely little campsite, clean facilities and friendly hens! Small honesty shop, fridge and freezer available. Nice friendly pub within ten minutes walk. Great for a peaceful break. The only negative was no hand drier or paper towels available in the wash shed and could do with slightly better lighting in the toilets.

Weekend Trip to Goldcrest - Breakaway Camping

A gem of a site, really great woodland area for kids and mini football pitch. Fire pits (although couldn't use them due to the drought) and clean facilities. Really keenly priced, will hopefully be back next year. Nice and quiet yet well located near to all local attractions

Weekend Trip to Goldcrest - Breakaway Camping

We stayed in Robins Nest. An 8 birth statistic caravan. The beds were all made up and lovely and clean. Lots of cushions in the lounge area to make yourself nice and comfortable. All the staff are very friendly and happy to help with anything. Even took the cover off the sun umbrella for us. There was a lovely family on the Medows in a tent who either waved or spoke while passing. This is our third time this year staying in the caravan. It’s peaceful, no tv programs but dvds are available to watch, along with bird songs and other animals to listen to. We hope to have a couple more weekends before it’s too cold to sit outside. We didn’t need the gas heating but needed and used the fan last time we went. Looking forward to next time

5 nights at Archer’s Field

We camped for 5 nights at Archer’s and it was just what we needed. The field is surrounded by trees and the skies were dark enough for fabulous stargazing. The toilets and showers were clean and perfectly adequate for our needs. Peter was very friendly and the whole atmosphere was laid back and relaxed. It’s also a great location for the coast, aylsham and other attractions

Lovely spacious peaceful pitches. Clean facilities, although you have to keep turning the shower off and on to get hot water. This didn’t really matter just had to get used to it. Lovely walks from the site. A super pub in Dilham village (The Cross Keys). We spent a day swimming and kayaking, launching from the Dilham Hall Retreat kayaking and paddleboard site. This is all part of the same estate so no charge to launch your own kayak. No noise after 10pm really works for us as does no music. A great little find.,

Quiet, chilled and small site. Clean facilities with nice hot showers. Owner came out to meet new arrivals in the early evening and was v friendly and knowledgeable. There is a fridge and freezer (across road in farmhouse) for campers’ use. Blackberry bushes were a nice bonus. Bus stop for buses to Norwich, Cromer and Sheringham 5 mins walk (honestly so much easier than driving - roads narrow and busy, and car parks full). Farm also sells eggs, and depending on season - whatever they’re growing.
