You’ll walk through a horse pasture and a cow pasture on your way to the cabin. There is a large farm pond (10ft deep) on the property for swimming. Enjoy access to locally-sourced food, firewood (at a small fee), drinking water, a private firepit, small wood stove and our old-fashioned wood-fired cook stove. There is no electricity or running water (but we provide ample drinking water) and there can be access to a charger box so you may charge your devices or have a light at night. Bring your pets and enjoy a private retreat. The max capacity of the cabin is three people. An outhouse with double-duty bag and second luggable loo are available for all guests. Minimum stay: 2 nights. NEW ADDITION: A new room, a small annex, has been constructed to allow for downstairs sleeping and writing area. You can bring your tent, RV, van or camper and choose from 8 amazing sites. Looking to see multiple provinces?? We are in the perfect spot to see all of what the East coast has to offer. View PEI’s spectacular Confederation Bridge from the shoreline and take a drive to PEI which is only minutes from us. Mainland Nova Scotia is less than a 30 minute drive and if you’re adventurous and want to drive the Cabot Trail then you can reach Cape Breton Island in under 2 hours! Catch a Ferry to Newfoundland if your heart desires.

Weekend Trip to Manuel's Camping

We loved our quick one night stay at Manuel’s camping and site #2! The description of was accurate and booking simple. Tent platform was a bonus as we visited on a wetter day. There is no signage or clear way into the woods from the road so you do have to call Manuel to get him to take you back once you find the house. Once back into the woods it’s a beautiful grassy and wooded area with walking trails. Our site was out of view from others so very private and cozy! There is firewood on site and a table and chairs. Will be back again!

Wonderful site. The blooming lupin field was a wonderful surprise to walk around in with coffee in the morning. Loved walking the low tide beach. Wonderful hosts! If i'm ever travelling this way again, this will be a spot to stay at for sure!

Beautiful. Despite the rain the weather cleared up and was able to enjoy walking along the low tide sandy shores. Helmut was super helpful and even provided some firewood for our stay. Will definitely recommend, very quiet and relaxing.

Just wow. Had the most relaxing evening at the Owl's Nest with my family. Cooked fresh salmon over the wood stove, played board games over candlelight, and the best part....... We saw a momma and baby owl perched in the woods. We are so lucky!

Slightly off the beaten path- you will encounter a gravel road- THE SITE IS WORTH THE DRIVE! . Great friendly host- INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL FRIENDLY PYRANEES dig named ‘Silo’. The price was right- and the site LEVEL- and lovely.

The perfect mix of camp and glamp with privacy, peace and serenity. This is a great spot for a couple, friends or young family to enjoy the outdoors together. With animals on the farm, trails on the property, location close to Amherst and attentive hosts, you can't get much better than this! Bring some sunscreen, bugspray and smore stuff for the ultimate unwind and relaxing time. This was a beautiful solo and safe getaway if you just want some time to yourself. I will definitely be back if I ever need some time alone to journal and read. Thanks again!
