We're excited to announce the addition of a rustic, off-grid, one-room log cabin with bunkie, available for your 2-night minimum stay. Nestled in a forested area of our property, the cabin offers unlimited access to sandy riverside beaches, swimming and fishing holes, stunning views, and endless hiking/biking trails. We have 2 riverfront campsites that feature their own beach, the remaining 2 sites are along a stunning tree line of old growth forest. These sites offer more shade than our river front sites and are a short walk to the river. Several of our sites can accommodate up to a 40 foot trailer. We are an RV site only as we currently do not offer rest room facilities. They are under construction currently. We will soon be able to offer an our door shower and flush toilets! The farm is a 5-minute walk to the beach, a 5-minute drive to town, as well as 5 minutes to the local golf course. The river has many wonderful places to float along, as well as some incredible swimming holes. It is a favourite place for river fishing during the fishing season. Our farm has mini goats, lambs, pigs, ducks, chickens, cows, turkeys and rabbits. we are happy to take you on a tour upon request. Our farm is on a natural breeding ground for bald eagles so it is near certain that you will see several of them each day. Tyee Valley Farm

Join us on our family farm. Fall is approaching and our first three sites will close Sunday Sept 17th. For self contained vehicles looking for an off season stay, please message us and we can see how we can provide a spot. We have begun work on our next expansion, and next spring will be happy to open our additional campsites for ten total sites. Bookings are open for stays beginning May 1st, 2024, weather permitting. In the meantime, we have our first few sites open to let you join us and relax in the forest. Site 1 and 2 are drive-in sites. Site 3 is a tent-only site. These sites will welcome you to recharge in nature. Dark night skies will open you to all the majesty of our solar system. Each standard campsite has a flat gravel surface suitable for tents, smaller RV's, shorter travel trailers, truck campers, rooftop tents, camper vans and similar. We have a tent pad site as well for cyclists or motorbikes. Small trailers up to 16 feet may be usable, but access may be tight. Please note, that while there is a campfire ban, camp stoves and propane fire pits are permitted. Easy access to Mt Washington and Strathcona Park, local beaches, rivers and more. We are open for camping till September 30th and will close until April 1st, 2024.

About

Tribune Bay Provincial Park is located on Hornby Island, in the traditional territory of the K’ómoks First Nation. No camping is permitted, but the park is popular for swimming and picnicking, with picnic tables, a picnic shelter, and pit toilets in the grassy area above the beach. A few short trails wind through the forest and to the tennis courts, while an additional road/trail system links Tribune Bay to nearby Helliwell Provincial Park, where trails wind through a stand of old-growth Douglas fir and out to bluffs that look over the Salish Sea.

When to go

Tribune Bay Provincial Park is open year-round. For the best weather, think about visiting between mid-May and mid-September (though this will also be the busiest time in the park). Wildflowers bloom in the park’s grassy field during spring, and the beach gets spectacular wave action during seasonal storms.

Know before you go

There is no lifeguard on duty at this park. Bad weather and big waves can come up very suddenly.
Hornby Island’s main community centre consisting of the Hornby Island Co-op, Ringside Market, and Tribune Bay Campground are just a short walk away.
There are barrier-free facilities at Tribune Bay, including a wheelchair-accessible walking trail, picnic shelter, and pit toilets.
