This is a quaint, cozy space designed and decorated with a mix of natural materials, old desert wood and old metal found on the property or nearby. There are 2 beds (full and a twin), 10 ft sloped ceiling, sink with cold running water- no hot water, flushing toilet, mini-refrigerator, electric 2 burner stove, toaster oven, heater, plates, forks, cups, cookware and electricity. There are curtains and sun blockers for privacy. When you wake up in the morning you will watch the sun rise over Turtleback Mountain. 1 block away is the Rio Grande and Rotary Park. It's 4 blocks to the main. Located in the downtown area and hot springs district, the property has a well that draws out the hot springs at about 98 degrees and pours it in to an outdoor tub- perfect for a warm winter day or summer evenings. It can be reserved for an additional fee upon arrival. 4 blocks from the downtown area you can easily access other spas, restaurants, coffee shops, art galleries, thrift shops, and the grocery store. Wake up in the morning, walk down to the river and you'll see heron, coots, osprey, sandhill crane, red wing black birds, and so many more wildlife. The coyotes regularly sing throughout the night. I tend the property and you may see me around if I need to do light repair work. There is a care taker for the property who lives there and may be another guest as well. My dad first came to this property as a farm hand for the elderly couple who owned it. This was in the 1930's. He met my mother, who lived 6 miles down the road, in 1939. She was just 14. Every Sunday he would ride those 6 miles to have supper with her and her family and in 1940, 2 weeks after her 16th birthday, they married. They traveled around before coming back here, buying a small portion of this farm from the elderly owners and farming the rest for them, but in 1953, the man died (his name was Ernest Ward) in the small concrete house I now use for storage, that my dad had built for he and his wife when he first came to work for them. My parents built a home for his widow in Hatch (14 miles) and bought the farm from her. My family has owned it since. I was gone for 31 years, but returned to the land and place I love and plan to stay here till I die!

We are a well hidden jewel in the southwest corner of New Mexico. Our location is about 30 minutes north of Lordsburg ( I-10) just off Hwy 90. Driving north on Hwy 90 the terrain transforms from desert floor to rolling hills and oak trees. Shopping and sight-seeing can be had in the town of Silver City just a few minutes away. Quaint shops, restaurants, and nearly all the amenities of a larger city await you there. While you are here you can also access the Gila Cliff Dwellings or Catwalk near Glenwood. However we think you will be quite content sitting in one of our swings, or dangling your feet in the water, and watching for the wild waterfowl that frequent our pond. We also have a small gift shop filled with locally made southwest pottery, western art, fresh eggs and homemade baked goods. We'd be happy to give you a tour of our gardens and greenhouse where you can also purchase fresh vegetables for your next meal. Our overhead gate has a clearance of 13' 7". We allow all types of RV trailers and vehicles, living quarters horse trailers, vans, tents, tipis, etc. No age limit on vehicles or trailers. Our parking area is huge, and right next to our pond. Please note : We close during the winter months from November 1st to April 1st.

Every Sunday he would ride those 6 miles to have supper with her and her family and in 1940, 2 weeks after her 16th birthday, they married. They traveled around before coming back here, buying a small portion of this farm from the elderly owners and farming the rest for them, but in 1953, the man died (his name was Ernest Ward) in the small concrete house I now use for storage, that my dad had built for he and his wife when he first came to work for them. My parents built a home for his widow in Hatch (14 miles) and bought the farm from her. My family has owned it since. I was gone for 31 years, but returned to the land and place I love and plan to stay here till I die!

We are a well hidden jewel in the southwest corner of New Mexico. Our location is about 30 minutes north of Lordsburg ( I-10) just off Hwy 90. Driving north on Hwy 90 the terrain transforms from desert floor to rolling hills and oak trees. Shopping and sight-seeing can be had in the town of Silver City just a few minutes away. Quaint shops, restaurants, and nearly all the amenities of a larger city await you there. While you are here you can also access the Gila Cliff Dwellings or Catwalk near Glenwood. However we think you will be quite content sitting in one of our swings, or dangling your feet in the water, and watching for the wild waterfowl that frequent our pond. We also have a small gift shop filled with locally made southwest pottery, western art, fresh eggs and homemade baked goods. We'd be happy to give you a tour of our gardens and greenhouse where you can also purchase fresh vegetables for your next meal. Our overhead gate has a clearance of 13' 7". We allow all types of RV trailers and vehicles, living quarters horse trailers, vans, tents, tipis, etc. No age limit on vehicles or trailers. Our parking area is huge, and right next to our pond. Please note : We close during the winter months from November 1st to April 1st.

A little slice of quiet rustic heaven in a very noisy world. Jennifer & Tommy were great hosts, very helpful & hospitable. The location was perfect for exploring The Gila Natl Forrest with my pup. We visited the Gila Cliff Dwellings Visitor Center & received his Bark Ranger badge, hiked on numerous dog friendly trails & soaked in the hot springs.
The Casita had everything we needed to stay comfortably & even though our trip was in mid December, we stayed toasty warm & cozy. I felt safe & very at peace here. The casita was very clean, as is the property & very dog friendly. We both slept better than we have in a while, coming from the city.
Lake Roberts is beautiful, with the casita so close. I look forward to another trip so I can bring my kayak & enjoy the mountain lake.

Lawrence & Dina couldn't be better hosts and have a perfect place to stay. Our site had a picnic table under a tree which was perfect for our morning coffee. We got in too late to see the sunset but loved the sunrise. Beware of choosing the "open directions in app" option. Twice it took us the wrong way. Third time was a charm (and verified using the address). If we're in the area again, we'll definitely stay there again.
Also, if you are heading east in the morning and you like old school yet quirky diners, you have to try The Pit on 292 Cafe just outside Los Cruces for breakfast. Great food and character. A fun way to start your journey.

This place was amazing. It was truly the oasis we needed. Byron and Marilyn met us on site and gave us a tour. They are both so kind and down to earth.
