My husband and father-in-law rented the space with their RV for moose hunting Aaron and Lori were so amazing to them, checking on them every night! They also rented cabins a few times weekends before their stay! They we so kind going so far as to inviting them up for dinner. They were easy to get along with and I highly recommend staying here. We enjoyed our time at Lori & Aaron camp spot. We were right on the banks of the St. John River. The site was flat and an easy set up for our travel trailer. The view and the sunset was beautiful. The shower was wonderful! We felt we taking a shower outside in the privacy of the roomy, sauna looking, mini house. Lori & Aaron are excellent hosts. The gift certificate to 2 Rivers Restaurant was a bonus & much appreciated!

There are 5 RV hookup sites on this lot, along with a rental cabin. Lot 1 & 2 are on the riverbank. Lots 3 & 4 are on the tree line on the left. Lot 5 is right next to the cabin.

Beautiful spot! We stayed over the July 4th weekend 2025. Had the place to ourselves. Camping spot #1 has a creek the feeds into the Fish River, right at the campsite. Amazing natural background noise. Saw tons of wildlife--Lynx appeared immediately upon our arrival! Bald eagles, deer, frogs and other amazing birds we haven't seen before. The Fish River was warm enough to wade and fly fish in shorts and sandals. We had heavy rainfall on the first night and Becky offered to move us up to a spot with tree cover. Really declined but greatly appreciated the gesture. It's a bit of a trek to Fort Kent but it was exactly what we were hoping for once we got there. Highly recommend!

I enjoyed my stay at the Half Moon Cabin. I went there on a fishing trip, and this was my first time in that beautiful area of Maine. The cabin was nice and clean, and exactly what I needed as a base camp and somewhere pleasant to return to after a long day of fishing. I hope to go back up there in the fall. This may become a new yearly tradition for me. Lori and Aaron were excellent hosts who were always attentive to any potential need I may have had. If you are looking for a place to stay in the area, I would certainly recommend the Half Moon Cabin or one of their other lodging options.
