This place checked all the boxes for a campground on the boarder of civilization. Great location for a base camp to moose and bird hunt out of. We really appreciated the hot shower. Great place, great view, would stay again.

My husband and father-in-law rented the space with their RV for moose hunting Aaron and Lori were so amazing to them, checking on them every night! They also rented cabins a few times weekends before their stay! They we so kind going so far as to inviting them up for dinner. They were easy to get along with and I highly recommend staying here. I called Lori several times when trying to figure out how to book and she was always attentive. They made sure we had exactly what we needed!!!

The place is rate on the river elevated giving great views the water. There are stunning sun sets to view by the fire pit. Grass area to relax and a path down to the river for fishing.

This was my second visit to the Half Moon Cabin this year. I am in the process of planning my third before winter comes around. That should tell you everything you need to know about how much I enjoy this place. It is the perfect home base to have after an arduous day chasing Muskies!

Restroom and shower were clean and water was hot. It is a beautiful location along the river with access.

We enjoyed our time at Lori & Aaron camp spot. We were right on the banks of the St. John River. The site was flat and an easy set up for our travel trailer. The view and the sunset was beautiful. The shower was wonderful! We felt we taking a shower outside in the privacy of the roomy, sauna looking, mini house. Lori & Aaron are excellent hosts. The gift certificate to 2 Rivers Restaurant was a bonus & much appreciated!

Aaron and Lori are not only amazing people, their camp site is perfect, near the water, quiet and so clean. Best outhouse I have ever used. America would be amazing if people were as kind and genuine as Aaron and Lori. I highly recommend Allagash Destinations.

I enjoyed my stay at the Half Moon Cabin. I went there on a fishing trip, and this was my first time in that beautiful area of Maine. The cabin was nice and clean, and exactly what I needed as a base camp and somewhere pleasant to return to after a long day of fishing. I hope to go back up there in the fall. This may become a new yearly tradition for me. Lori and Aaron were excellent hosts who were always attentive to any potential need I may have had. If you are looking for a place to stay in the area, I would certainly recommend the Half Moon Cabin or one of their other lodging options.

Allagash RV - LOT 2
We had the most peaceful weekend staying with Lori & Aaron. The sound of the river swishing by lulled us to sleep every night. The view is spectacular and the setting serene. The composting outhouse and propane shower or clean and user friendly. We caught a couple of muskies and cooked them on the fire that same night. The dogs lounged around the campsite and took in the views with us.

Allagash RV - LOT 1
We loved our stay at Allagash Destinations. Lori & Aaron were the best hosts we could hope for. They were friendly, helpful, and excellent communicators. The campsite is located right on the banks of the St John River which made for easy access for both fishing and easy float trips. The campsites are spacious and clean. We brought along our two dogs and they loved playing in the river and trying to catch the frogs. We cannot wait to go back!
