Welcome to Northern Edge Retreat, a peaceful riverside haven tucked away in Saint Francis, Maine north of Fort Kent and nestled along the beautiful St. John River. This unique destination offers tent campers, RVers, and nature lovers a rare chance to experience rustic charm, borderland heritage, & year-round outdoor adventure in the heart of northern Maine. Camp in the open backyard beneath a sky full of stars or park your RV in the level driveway with access to a 15-amp electrical hookup via the garage. Sip coffee by the fire pit, enjoy quiet sunsets over the river, or launch your kayak or small boat just two minutes away at the public boat ramp. With pets welcome and a kennel on-site, you can bring your four-legged companions along for the journey. The property backs directly onto Aroostook County’s vast trail system—over 1,300 miles of snowmobile & ATV trails—with walkable access right from the yard. For added comfort, the restored early-1900s farmhouse is available to rent with a two-night minimum. It retains much of its original woodwork, flooring, & historic paneling. These preserved features showcase the home’s craftsmanship, complete with creaks and quirks that bring out the character and soul of its century-old design. This is a stay where history hasn’t been covered up it’s been embraced. Inside, the home features two bedrooms, two full bathrooms with hot showers, and a flex office room. High-speed Wi-Fi and smart climate controls keep you connected and comfortable. Entertainment includes two 65" Roku TVs and a multi-monitor desk setup in the office (bring your own laptop). The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, pans, and dishes. Additional sleeping space is available with a queen air mattress and cot.
