Camp Wonder Wander is Wanderful
6 sites · RVs, Tents17 acres · Waynesboro, TNYour host Val has walked away from her life as a tenured graphic design professor for a passion that is probably her true calling. Inspired by travels and a youth immersed in girls scouts, I created this retreat center and camp for the opportunity to relish in nature, put away the phone and get back to craft, conversation, and the basics of life. You'll relish in the quiet and beauty of the rural rolling foothills of Appalachia in mid-south TN. 20 minutes from any town so prepare en route. Route 99 splits the 17 acres with retreat center on one side and an 11.5 acre campground with significant river front property On The Buffalo. This is in Lewis county - of the Lewis and Clark adventurers. The Buffalo River is a class 1 and sometimes 2 river perfect for kayaking. Ask about add on options like a tour and story about the camp and animals or even a pottery lesson or art workshop.

Peaceful Hills Retreat Campground
32 sites · RVs, Tents97 acres · TNPeaceful Hills Retreat 390 American Way Centerville, TN 37033 (Pleasantville) Looking for the perfect getaway, you will find some peace and quiet here! Only 14.6 miles from I-40 and located on 97 acres, this campground is surrounded by nature, very secluded and private. There is a crystal-clear creek that runs parallel with the driveway and fresh spring water flowing from pipe in the rock close to the entrance on American Way. The creek is bio-diverse, filled with fascinating species, and spring fed, which means it stays cool in the summertime. There are three beautiful homes which are able to be rented out as well. The A-frame log cabin at the top of the hill is called the lodge. The second home, which is a two-story brown log cabin, is where the host lives. The third home is the cottage. Long before these three homes were built, native Indians lived in these beautiful rolling hills and we have found many arrowheads right around the homes on this property. This is a special place and we are happy and honored to share it with you! Peaceful Hills Retreat, a family owned business, started in May of 2017. It all began when Jennifer’s brilliant brother booked a two-story home through Airbnb for Jennifer and the family for a week in the Carolinas. Their Airbnb vacation was a great experience, and she loved having a kitchen to cook in, while traveling with her large family. She gladly said goodbye to tiny hotel rooms.. Linda and her daughter, Jennifer realized they desired to run a BnB, and watched the scattered pieces beautifully fall into place. Peaceful Hills Retreat is also a wedding venue. There are three beautiful spots for a lovely outdoor wedding. The waterfall site is a favorite. The lodge is a beautiful place for the reception to take place outdoors and the Honeymoon Cottage makes for the perfect getaway afterwards. At each home you may read a special book called A Soldier’s Child Foundation (ASC). This life-changing, wonderful foundation near Nashville, serves children all over our great nation who have sadly lost a parent who served in our military. ASC tremendously helped Jennifer’s family after the loss of their military soldier and Peaceful Hills Retreat donates a portion of their profits to this amazing non-profit. A Soldier’s Child Foundation removed the shame and sadness from our loss and replaced it with hope, honor. and love. A portion of our increase at Peaceful Hills Retreat goes to serve this cause to help other families. To learn more, to donate or to get involved, please visit: asoldierschild.org. If you have any other questions or if you need anything at all during your stay, please text us and we'll be happy to help. Hope to see you soon!

Plentiful Hill Farm
3 sites · RVs, Tents375 acres · TNWelcome to our home! Plentiful Hill Farm is 375 rolling acres of beautiful woods and spacious open fields less than an hour from Nashville in the heart of Middle Tennessee. This property has been in our family for eight generations, and currently, three generations live on, love, and actively use this land. Our acreage reserved for campers is gated which provides an extra level of security and comfort during your visit. You'll find miles of marked hiking trails for our guests to enjoy as well as maps and posted signage to help you stay on track and enjoy the various parts of this land. Our property features a small pond, a historic family cemetery, hardwood and cedar forests, a wide variety of plants and wildlife (including foxes, birds of prey, coyotes, and plenty of deer), and Buckeye Ridge, elevation 1,112 feet. Our small, seasonal, spring-fed creek eventually feeds into the most biologically diverse river in North America, the Duck River. Guests are welcome to carefully explore the old family cemetery. We've done our best to document and share the limited information we have to help give some context to the people who've lived on this property over the years and the history to which we're all tied. Plentiful Hill also showcases a lot of the variety in terrain and distinct ecosystems, including cedar glades and karst landscape, that makes this part of the state unique and interesting. **A portion of our property is reserved for off-leash dog hiking reservations. If it is available to access during your visit, we'll make sure to let you know!** As we continue to see farmland in our surrounding area sold off and developed, it's become increasingly apparent to us the role we can play in preserving the amazing wonders of rural Tennessee. Part of that opportunity, to us, means offering a space for folks who find themselves craving the reflection, perspective, calm, and appreciation developed by time spent in nature. We are excited to share this space with folks who will love their time here as much as we do!

Tiny Dreamer Homestead
8 sites · RVs, Tents4 acres · TNI just purchased 4 acres of land in west TN to place my tiny house on wheels. I plan on renting out my tiny house in the near future. The land is mowed down, lush green with some trees in the middle and just all around beautiful. I just added gravel Rv pads and rock paths around the homestead as well as 6 large wildflower gardens. Right now there are no activities on the land. Just a place to stay if someone wants to camp or you can walk on the paths. If you have a golf cart, you can ride those on the property. I do own 5 chickens which are a delight and I sell farm fresh eggs. Produce coming this year. The camp sites have not been broken in yet so the spots are not in a designated area yet. There are 4 tent camp spots to choose from. The photos you see are the areas you can choose from. I supply a fire pit for your use during your stay.

Forest at Sand Mountain
4 sites · RVs, Tents22 acres · GA22 private acres spanning the bottom valley all the way to the top of Sand Mountain. The mountain has several natural terraces and flat areas suitable for campers to choose from including a nice spot overlooking a rock garden. As you ascend Sand Mountain, the vegetation thins revealing spectacular views of Lookout Mountain especially in the fall & winter months after the leaves have fallen. At the very top of the property are 30+ ft high cliffs with a few caves large enough to accommodate several sleeping bags. Guided hikes to the cliffs & caves are available upon request. This is raw land & raw forest. If you enjoy bush craft, there is plenty of material for you to build a lean-to, tee-pee, or structure of choice. Trees range from poplar to multiple species of oak. Natural wildlife include deer, wild turkeys, scorpions, and ticks. You're welcome to bring fluffy as we've never seen any predators, but there is a slight chance there could be some around.
