Weekend Trip to Northfield Flower Farm

Amazing experience! The yurt is gorgeously hand painted, set in a beautiful mature forest, with hundreds of trilliums blooming everywhere. The mattress was comfy and warm, we grilled our supper on the fire outside and watched the stars peek out over head. On the way back through the path, you get a beautiful view of the farm and then we were greeted by cows who came running for head scratches. What a wonderful stay, I hope to be back soon.

Interior includes 2 custom raised beds with mattresses, fit 2-4 people, extra cot is available if needed. Please bring your own sleeping bags.

Weekend Trip to Yurta Glamping/Tent Camping 50Acres

Felt very soothed living in the yurt for three nights and two days. Had a meditation retreat and hiked in nature. You feel cozy with the wood stove at night and rest well away from devices and busyness of the city. Owners warm and helpful.

When to go

Summer is undeniably the most popular time to explore in and around Gatineau Park, the second-most visited park in Canada. Reservations around Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day (a public holiday in Quebec celebrated June 24) and Canada Day tend to book up quickly. Early autumn excursions provide the best combination of pleasant weather and low traffic but there is one exception—expect dense weekend crowds in mid-October, when fall colours are at their best.

Know before you go

If you want to fish in Quebec, you’ll need a license. Fortunately, they’re inexpensive and easy to obtain.
