Parking is right at the campsite, following a 400m tractorway over grass. This tractorway enters and exits onto the county road independent of the host’s private home driveway.
Our small, bio-diverse farm is in a quiet location but only 10km from shops and cafes. Our property is run with minimal chemical inputs. The lake supports fish, turtles, thousands of tree frogs in the spring, and musk rat, woodland ducks, and heron. You may also see rare bobolinks, barn swallows, and bats in summer. Star gazing is very good, there is very little light pollution. Tall poplar trees provide shade and shelter as well as pleasant sounds of the wind.
Footwear is advised. Conditions underfoot are usually good, we do try to keep poison ivy in check but it does pop up here and there.

For swimming we recommend the beautiful beaches in Rondeau Park, only a few minutes away! Also, you can walk or cycle to town for an ice cream or groceries.

We have six off-grid campsites with space for up to six people each. Pets are welcome. Please note, the parking area is not next to the campsite – you will have to hike in about 10 minutes or more. Campfires are allowed on the property – bring your own wood. This is a mostly rural area, and there is no toilet, water, or other amenities, so make sure to bring drinking water. Enjoy walking along the fields and through the untouched Carolinian forest, spotting a variety of plants. About 15 km from the shores of Lake Erie, this property offers a quiet place to camp near local outdoor attractions such as Rondeau Provincial Park and Big Bend Conservation Area, each within a 30-minute drive. For food and a few shops, Ridgetown is about 10 km to the southwest; the larger town of Chatham is 30 minutes past Ridgetown.

Second time staying here and just as wonderful as the first. Sara and Mark were available for any needs and are really friendly, they want you to really enjoy your time there. It shows from all of the extras they have set up, from free firewood to a 5gallon container of drinking water, well kept campsite, and hammock chairs to relax in. It's like a little peace of heaven.

Stayed at this site over the weekend and can't say enough about how peaceful it was. The hosts were kind and accommodating. Sarah and Mark thought of all the details one might need when camping. I didn't have to bring anything for the BBQ or campfire, it was all provided. 5 gallon water for drinking and washing dishes. Outhouse right at campsite. There is a pond with a canoe which was nice to use. Their dogs Honey and Maple stopped by for a visit on their walks, they are adorable! The campsite is at the back of their farm so you pass by ducks and horses along the way. They checked in through the stay to see if I needed anything. There are 2 hammock chairs which were great to relax on. Anyone looking for a relaxing, laid back time to refresh, this is the place. I will definitely return and recommend this place.

Weekend Trip to Howeholm Farm
This little cabin is so cute! I especially loved spending time with my family and my dog on the deck taking in the views. We were super comfortable sleeping in the loft and there was lots of room in the lower level for all three adults. Tom was very accommodating with our ever changing plans!

We had a such a great 2 nights at Riverview. David was waiting for us upon arrival, which was great for me and my 2 kids. I recommend the Glamping bundle- we were later arrivals and earlier departure, so it was nice to not have to set up and dismantle a tent. Perfect site for the kids and dog!! Will definitely be back.

The site was absolutely breathtaking! The view was so incredible, the site itself was perfectly maintained and carved out amongst their beautiful property. Hearing the splashing waves from the lake with all the other natural sounds was so relaxing. Our host was extremely helpful and friendly, and they made sure we had everything we needed including firewood before they left us to our privacy! We drove almost 3 hours from our home to stay here for 1 night and it was so so worth it, we really hope we can come stay again some time. We can’t get over the beautiful and private space we were able to enjoy!

Chris and Sara are awesome and have always been what I would consider the top of the line kind of hosts.
You could never ask for more and the value can not be beat and to find out we went there to celebrate my birthday to find out it was Sara's birthday legendary.

Nice large sites, Rechelle and son RJ did their best to ensure it was clean and were helpful. I would recommend to a friend or family member, and would like to return. Only downfall is no electricity hookups so it will be a good idea to bring an inverter for anything you need powered.

Had a really great time. The trails were super well kept. Great spot for star viewing. Firewood was fantastic and abundant. Only minor thing I would note is that you can hear quite a bit of cars going by from the nearby road. It would take me out of it at times but it died down a lot during the night. Overall, a great private spot that my husband and I are looking forward to revisiting!

I was a bit hesitant to go to this campground because of the reviews and some bad experiences with private campgrounds in the past. This one far exceeded our expectations. The hosts were very accommodating and well organized, and their property is beautiful. The campsite was easily accessible, and the hike to the beach was long but well worth the effort. We loved the stay there but another group of campers were playing loud music till after midnight. We ended up calling Rechelle and she promptly addressed the issue. The firewood was plenty and they also filled up our gallon and got it to us. 10/10 for this campground.
